Smart Cam setup error: Something went wrong displays in SmartThings
A network connection is required to complete the setup of the Smart Cam. During the setup, you may receive an error that "Something went wrong..." if there's an issues with your Wi-Fi network, or if you're out of the network range.

Check your network (modem and/or Wi-Fi router) connection.
Make sure your network is powered on and connected to the internet. Check that the ethernet cable is securely and properly connected to the modem and the Wi-Fi router. It may be necessary to restart the modem and the Wi-Fi router if you continue having trouble accessing the internet.
Note
Contact your modem manufacturer or your internet service provider for network support.

Make sure your phone's Wi-Fi is turned on, and you can access the internet.
From the phone, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Status panel. Tap the Settings icon, and then tap Connections > Wi-Fi. Make sure the switch next to Wi-Fi is on, and your phone is connected to a network. Open the Internet app, and then make sure you can surf the web.

Move your phone closer to the camera during the setup.
Make sure your phone and camera are close during the setup. Then, verify that your phone doesn't have a weak Wi-Fi signal when setting up the camera to avoid the error from reoccurring.

Close the SmartThings app on your phone, and then re-open it.
Touch and hold the Recents key on your phone. Depending on your phone, you will need to swipe either up, down, left, or right on the SmartThings app to close it. Then, re-open the app.

Make sure the status LED on the camera is blinking amber.
If the LED is blinking amber, the camera is ready for setup. Otherwise, if it the LED is not amber or on, reset the camera.
To reset the camera, press and hold the reset button located on the back side of the camera for 15 seconds, and then release it. The camera will make a "click" sound, and then the status LED will start blinking green. The camera is ready to connect with SmartThings once the status LED starts blinking amber.

Connect the camera to the SmartThings app.
From the Home screen in the app, tap the Menu (three horizontal lines) icon, and select Devices. Tap the + (plus) icon from the top right corner, and then tap SmartThings > Camera > SmartThings Cam. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the camera setup.
