SmartThings app closes on Galaxy phone

The SmartThings app requires a date of birth to be registered to your Samsung account. You will not be able to use the app if you are under the age of 14, or if there is no date of birth information registered to your Samsung account. To resolve this, simply add your birthdate to your Samsung account.

SmartThings app closes on Galaxy phone

Navigate to your Samsung account settings.

Using your phone, open Settings, and then tap your Samsung account name at the top of the screen.

Enter your date of birth.

Tap Profile info, and then tap Date of birth. Enter your date of birth, and then tap Save.

Open the SmartThings app.

Navigate to and open the SmartThings app to begin using it.
