Family Hub refrigerator won't connect to Wi-Fi after update

If your Family Hub refrigerator is not connecting to your Wi-Fi network after installing the Family Hub 10 software update, there are some things you can try to resolve the issue. Updating your router's firmware to the latest version is the first step. If the problem persists, set up a static IP for your Family Hub.

1

Update your router's firmware.

If you need instructions for updating your router, check the user manual for it. If you do not have the manual, check its manufacturer's website. If you use an app on your phone to monitor your router, you may be able to check for updates there.

Once you've update your firmware, try connecting again. If you are still unable to connect, continue to Step 2.

2

Reset the network settings only for Family Hub panel.

If the above step didn't work, you will need to set up a static IP for your Family Hub. The first step in this process is to reset the network settings on your refrigerator.
  1. On your Family Hub, open Settings
  2. Tap About Family Hub.
  3. Tap Reset network settings.
3

Check your current IP information on your phone.

Android users:

  1. Navigate to Settings, and tap Connections, and then tap Wi-Fi
  2. Tap the Gear icon next to your Wi-Fi network name to open its settings.
  3. Tap View more, and then tap IP settings.
  4. From here, write down the IP address shown and close it on your phone to avoid any accidental taps or touches that would change your settings.

iOS users:

  2. Tap the i icon next to your Wi-Fi network.
