 Twin Cooling System

In 1995 Samsung developed the world's first Twin Cooling System, and it has been in application ever since. The Twin Cooling System controls the refrigerator and freezer independently with two separate evaporators and precise electronic control. Until recently, conventional refrigerators have used a single evaporator to lower the tempreture in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments. This presents the problem of cold air travelling through the same duct to cool the both the refrigerator and freezer. The ideal temperature is -240C for the freezer and 30C for the refrigerator, creating a difference of 27 degrees. Because of this, having a single evaporator is very inefficient. Samsung refrigerators have two evaporators and sense which compartment needs cooling and only cools that compartment. This results in a more efficient refrigerator with powerful performance! This is the secret of Samsungs Twin Cooling System.

Maintaining Ideal Temperature and Speedy Cooling Performance
With two fans and two evaporators, the Twin Cooling System™ can maintain the ideal temperature for each compartment and is also suitable for speedy cooling.

 Efficient Use of Energy
The Twin Cooling System™ provides adequate amount of cool air in each compartment thanks to exclusive evaporators and precise electronic control. It reduces energy consumption by 30%, compared to previous models, with a high efficiency compressor and better insulation (A class: ISO standard).

 Quiet Operation
Samsung Side by Side refrigerators succeeded in reducing the noise level by using a compressor designed for low noise and variable motor speeds.

No Mixing of Odours between Compartments
The Twin Cooling System™ automatically isolates odours. Since the compartments are cooled separately, the cool air does not travel through the same duct to reach the freezer and refrigerator compartments. Therefore, there is no unpleasant mixing of odours.
