How to set call display while using apps

Case 1. The screen does not turn on even though I moved away from the device from my face during calls.

If you move the device away from your face during call, the screen is turned on based on both the proximity sensor and motion gesture.

But, if proximity sensor or motion gesture aren’t recognized properly, or your fingers are unintentionally touching on screen, the screen may not turn on. At that time, please turn on the screen by pressing the side key.

Case 2. It seems that unexpected noises sound when I press the cover screen during calling on Fold3.

Galaxy Z Fold3 supports the IPX8 water-resistance feature. As a result, the inside of the device is sealed, and when the cover screen is pressed, the pressure inside the device changes instantaneously and at the moment a fine sound may occur.

This is a momentary and temporary phenomenon caused by pressure change and it is not a device defect, so please feel free to use it.

Case 3. How do I make a phone call when the device is unfolded?

For Galaxy Fold devices, you can call using the receiver (only present on the Cover screen) and the speakerphone when the device is folded, and you can call using the speakerphone when the device is unfolded

When a phone call is received while the device is unfolded, the pop-up message “Close phone or use speaker” will be displayed; the same message will appear when you make a call.

Note: Available settings and screens may vary by wireless service provider, software version, and device.
