I cannot use the tethering with my Windows Vista. I have correctly installed KIES, I am able to see in Device Manager that my phone "Samsung Mobile USC Remote NDIS Network Device" is correctly set up in the Network Adaptars; I also see the 'Red 8 (Red privada)' and 'Conexión de area local 6' as configuration for my phone; but I am not able to connect to the internet. In KIES I can only see the instructions of tethering for windows xp and 7. Ehere i can find instructions for windows vista? Thanks

I have rebooted my GT-S5830i and tried to restore it with Kies but it keeps on crashing because it wants to finish off a back-up that failed. Can I stop this auto back-up from attempting each time I reconnect the phone?

Hi. The automatic back up option can be disabled by following these steps: Open Samsung KIES > Select Basic Information > Scroll down to Options > deselect the box next to Automatic back up when USB connection is established. To find out more about Samsung KIES please see the link below which provides helpful information and tutorials about the programme. http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/ I hope this helps.

When using my phone for internet ect, the unit turns off after around 6 mins. When I plug in to recharge the screen goes to 80% charged? Is this a fault with the battery? The phone is just over a year old.

Hi. Please check the settings for your contacts. On page 63 onwards of the user manual you will see information and guidance on how to do this. Please see the link below: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201302/20130222105250905/GT-S5830_UM_EU_Gingerbread_Eng_Rev.1.1_130221_Screen.pdf If this is unsuccessful, I recommend performing a factory data reset on your Galaxy Ace. You can do this by following these steps: Settings - Privacy - Factory data reset - Reset device - Erase everything. Performing a factory data reset will erase all data from your device. I advise that you back up your data on Samsung KIES. Please see the link below to find all of the information and tutorials on Samsung KIES: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/ I hope this helps.

Hi. I recommend trying a hard reset on your device. You can do this by following these steps: - With the phone switched off, press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key. At this point you should see the Android recovery screen. - Scroll to Wipe Data/Factory Reset using the Volume Up or Down keys. Select with the power key. - Scroll down to Yes, Delete User Data and select it. - Back on the first screen, scroll down to Wipe Cache Partition and select it. - Your factory reset is now complete. - Go to Reboot System Now to restart the phone. I hope this helps.
