How to level your Samsung dishwasher

Last Update date : 2024-01-18

Adjusting the dishwasher's level is a crucial part of the installation process. Ensuring proper leveling is essential to avoid leaks and optimize performance. It is important to achieve both vertical and horizontal leveling for optimal results.

  • A level
  • A hex tool
  • A wrench

Note: If the dishwasher is already installed, you must take off the kickplate to reach the legs and rear adjustment screw.

Dishwasher leveling
1 Begin by assessing the horizontal level. If necessary, make adjustments using the front two legs. Rotate a leg counterclockwise to elevate the dishwasher on that side or clockwise to lower it.
2 Following that, make front-to-back adjustments as required. Position the level vertically against the front door of the dishwasher, as demonstrated. To modify the level, identify the rear adjustment screw at the front of the base and use a Hex tool for adjustments. Turning it to the left will elevate the back of the dishwasher, while turning it to the right will lower it.
3 Ensure that the top of the door does not come into contact with screws, brackets, or the countertop. If it does, make adjustments to the leveling legs located on the bottom front of the dishwasher.
4 While not directly related to leveling, it's advisable to check one more aspect while you have the level on hand. Examine the sides of the door frame (where they attach to the cabinet) to ensure they are not bent inward or outward. Verify this by placing the level vertically against the side of the door frame. If the level is not perfectly flat against the frame, adjust the cabinet screws, either loosening or tightening them to straighten the frame.

Note: The width of the door frame at the cabinet screws should be 22 inches. Measuring this distance provides another means of confirming the frame's straightness.
