Samsung Top-Load Washing Machine Drain Hose Installation Guide
The drain hose outlet must sit 90–100 cm above the floor.
If your building drain pipe is lower than this, use the supplied plastic hose guide to hold the hose in an arch at the correct height.
What you Need
• Supplied drain hose (connected to the washing machine)
• Supplied plastic hose guide
• Phillips (+ head) screwdriver – only needed if the pipe is lower than 90 cm
• Cable tie – to fasten the hose to the pipe

What to do |
|---|---|
|
Lower than 90 cm. |
Part A - Fit the hose guide to the top cover at the rear of the machine. |
|
90 - 100 cm. |
Part B - Secure the hose guide to the wall and tie the hose to the pipe. |
Part A – Drain Pipe Lower Than 90 cm
The hose guide keeps the drain hose arched and secured at 90 cm. Follow these four steps.
Look at the rear of the machine. You will find two screws on the top cover – one on the left and one on the right.
Use a Phillips (+) screwdriver to remove one screw:
• Drain pipe on the right → remove the right screw
• Drain pipe on the left → remove the left screw
Keep the screw – you will need it in the next step.
Place the supplied hose guide over the screw hole and fasten it with the same screw you just removed.
Attach the drain hose to the washing machine, pass it through the hose guide, then connect it to the building drain pipe. The hose should arch up to 90 cm.
Part B – Drain Pipe 90–100 cm High
If the hose connects to a standpipe at 90–100 cm, no screws need to be removed:
• Place the supplied plastic hose guide so the hose spout stays bent.
• Secure the guide firmly to the wall.
• Fasten the hose tightly to the pipe with a cable tie.
Standpipe Requirements
Minimum diameter: 5 cm.
Minimum carry-away capacity: 60 liters/min
