If you encounter static noises while using one or both of your Galaxy Buds, including models like the Galaxy Buds2 or earlier, there are steps you can take to address the issue. You can verify updates for your earbuds and the connected phone or tablet to ensure they're running the latest software version. Additionally, restarting and resetting your earbuds may resolve minor issues.

Confirm that your earbuds, phone, or tablet have the latest software version installed. If you encounter issues with specific apps like Spotify, ensure they're also up to date.

If you're using your earbuds with a computer, TV, or watch, don't forget to check for software updates on those devices too.

Utilize your phone or tablet to access the Settings menu. Navigate to Connections and select Bluetooth. Locate the gear-shaped Settings icon next to your earbuds' name and tap on it. Choose the Unpair option, then confirm by tapping Unpair once more.

Note: if your earbuds were linked to the Galaxy Wearable app, disconnecting them via Bluetooth will automatically remove them from the Wearable app as well.

Insert your earbuds into the charging case and shut the lid until the battery indicator light fades, which may require up to 10 seconds. Ensure the earbuds are fully charged before taking them out of the case. Should the battery indicator light flash red or orange, let the earbuds charge for over 10 minutes.

Once you've unpaired your earbuds, you'll need to reestablish connections with both Bluetooth and the Galaxy Wearable app.

To begin, open the lid of the charging case. This action triggers the earbuds to enter pairing mode, prompting a pop-up message on your phone or tablet. Simply tap Connect to proceed.

In case the pop-up message doesn’t appear, you can utilize the Galaxy Wearable app through two methods:

  1. Within the app, access the Menu (identified by three horizontal lines), then tap on + Add new device. Choose your earbuds from the provided list, and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect your devices.

  2. Alternatively, if no other devices are linked to the Galaxy Wearable app, you might be directed to the initial setup screen. From there, select your earbuds from the list and adhere to the on-screen instructions to reconnect them.

If the static noise persists, attempt resetting the earbuds after they're linked to the Galaxy Wearable app.

Navigate within the app to "Earbuds settings", then select "Reset". Confirm the reset by tapping "Reset" again. Once the reset process is finished, the earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.

Following the earbuds reset, you'll have to reconnect them to your phone or tablet. You can follow the same connection instructions outlined in step 4, either by utilizing the Connect pop-up message or the Galaxy Wearable app.
