Replaced an old condenser dryer with this Samsung series 5 dryer and could not be happier. an astonishing dryer. It's so energy efficient. our old dryer would run at 2.6kW and take about 140 mins for an average load. this Samsung dryer uses only 440W and typically runs for about 180 mins. The sensor automatically recalculates the dying time within the cycle. The supporting app is excellent. So far we are seeing very significant savings, justifying the extra expense of the machine compared to cheaper, less energy efficient machines. Should have got one of these a long time ago. Highly recommend.

New to heatpump technology and I'm NEVER going back! Extremely energy effiecient, literally my smart home tells me the TV and/or the Dehumidifier used more power than the dryer (which I use regularly). If you're drying things like sheets, use common sense, its going to roll up into a ball, take your sheets out give them a shake put them back in, everything else will be perfectly dried without supervision. 300 loads perfectly dried in record time so far! User SmartThings to create a smart network that will keep you 'in the loop', it also keeps track of your usage and any maintenance that is required (Self Tub Dry/Clean The Heat Exchanger)

Not only does it come with a 9 Star Rating, but I can use my Samsung Flip5 mobile phone to tell the dryer what I want dried. The SmartThings is easy to use. Dryer arrived this morning whilst I was at work and I put my work clothes in in the afternoon after I washed them, no ironing needed, used the app and it even SINGS when ready! Easy to learn Instructions, simple and smells like SOFresh and SOClean! Must have! Cant wait to afford the matching washing Machine to go with and throw away this Kogan brand washing machine. Omg and thier is NO NOISE!! SOOO AMAZING! I did not realise how noisey the old dryer was!

I received this Tumble Drier from Samsung for product testing. Machine very easy to install. Connected to my Samsung phone via the app very easily. Lots of drying recipes to pick the perfect one. Dried the towels perfectly. The water collector is easy to remove and empty, the fluff collector comes in two parts and is very simple to clean. A fluff brush that comes with the machine removes the lint from the collector superbly, it has a suction cup to attach to front of machine so you don't lose it. Compared to other tumble driers I have used it seems to be far more economical, my smart meter does not go into the red.

The app function is great for setting it up. I wish you could start and stop it via the app but its great bit of kit. It plays a tune when done. The filter is easy to clean plus a tool provided. Negatives if any: Most items are dried first time. Sometimes they clunk together and need a second spin but all dryers have this. I wish it had come with the shoe rack for drying washed trainers. In summary. For energy efficiency and near perfect drying ability. This wins hands down and i have recommended to many colleagues and friends alike

Our old 5kg condenser dryer was not big enough to cope with a full load of washing from our Samsung 8.5kg front load washing machine, which we also love. I have used a few programs and I am impressed with how the technology senses how much drying time is needed. It's so quiet and no lint floating around in the air - great filtration system. Any dog hair that might be left on clothes after washing, is completely gone after a cycle through this Dryer and everything is so soft. It has an awesome 9 star energy rating, so I hope to see the savings on the power bill when it comes. Just Brilliant.

The clothes come out perfectly dry every time and I get an alert on my phone when the cycle is finished. This allows me to get the load out straight away and hung/folded to prevent wrinkles. If I know I won't be home when the cycle finishes, I can use a setting to prevent wrinkles. The 9 Star energy rating was a big selling point for me. I can use my dryer without having to worry about my next electricity bill. Overall a great machine. All the features (and then some) of the other brands, at a much better price. Happy to recommend this dryer to others.

Very fancy machine, considering the 20yo basic one this replaced. I haven’t bothered with the connectivity function. I like the post-dry anti wrinkle feature. Heat selection and general drying for clothes and towels is good. What’s truly disappointing, is that bed sheets turn into neat bundles of damp fabric. Despite using drier balls. The anti wrinkle feature is no good when the item isn’t dry in the first place and resembles a burrito. Pretty disappointing to have spent a lot of money on this when my 20yo dryer used to reverse tumble as part of the drying cycles. I’ve extensively researched and I’m quite certain there’s nothing else I can do, other than rearrange the load every 20mins. Ugh.

Got both dryer and washer — got them pulled out/repaired almost twice within warranty. That’s how low samsung models in terms of quality. Heater — in less than 2 years of usage (rarely for kid’s clothes only) this most expensive part has to be changed. When pulled out, we found out the repair person changed some original parts of our unit and changed to old parts maybe also taken from other broken units. That’s how we found out we could not trust samsung to cover any warranty and have the units pulled out. Might as well ask the repair man to do it at home in front of ua watching.

Heat exchanger needs cleaning always, at least once a week, and the way that this heat exchanger designed and it's location is hard to clean and hard to find a tool to clean it.

I received this tumble dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. This tumble dryer is a massive improvement over our previous one. It runs quickly and quietly and is very economical. The smartphone link and cheery finish tune have been very useful as it is so quiet we don’t always know when it is finished. It is a very high quality, stylish dryer with a wide range of drying features, we have been particularly impressed with the drying tray for items that you aren't able to traditionally tumble dry. Small things like the internal light and the convenient placement of the water tray have really impressed us and it has managed large drying loads easily. We have already recommended this model to friends looking to buy.

First off, this thing is gentle on clothes but tough on drying, thanks to its Heat Pump tech. Perfect for all kinds of laundry loads, and it's pretty smart too – I control it from my phone! Looks-wise, it's sleek and fits right in. Plus, it's an energy-saving champ, which is a win for my bills. The drying programs are spot-on with sensors making sure nothing gets overdried. Just a heads up, though: it might take a tad longer, but hey, good things take time, right? Overall, if you want your clothes to last and still be perfectly dry, the Samsung Smart Dryer is the real deal. Totally worth it for hassle-free laundry days!

We are a family of 5 and we use the a tumble drier at least 1 a day. We have had it now for 2 months a bit optimistic about buying it in the beginning due to the price but we’ll worth the money and with a five year warranty and it does use far less electric it will pay for its self. very quiet when in operation lots of programs to select from it’s also Wi-Fi enabled so you can set programs and check your energy consumption for each load off the SmartThings app. All in all a bit expensive but well worth it I would highly recommend it.

I received this Heat Pump Dryer from Samsung for product testing purposes. First Impressions – The model I choose was in Graphite Grey – the front was very minimal with one large chrome dial and an LCD display and it matches the Samsung Washing machine I also use. There are a series of buttons that are discrete dimples under the LCD panel. Maybe it was my poorly lite laundry room, but the labels could be hard to see at times – but as I found out later you are unlikely to use when using the smart app. The front-loading door felt extremely large and made access to the drum simple and once closed allowed for easy viewing if needed. Initial Setup – The guide explains you would do best to install the ‘Samsung SmartThings’ app on your device, I already had this as I own a Samsung phone but understand from the instructions the app can be installed on any android or iOS device. When you turn the Dryer on for the first time, the screen shows the initial setup process. It was extremely easy to follow and within a short time the Dryer and my phone were connected. The draining of the water can be handled in one of 2 ways the first is how the machine comes already set up – the water collects in a container held at the top of the machine that you empty when prompted. The second and my preferred option, is to attach the drain hose they also supply to your waste pipe – thereby eliminating the need to ever empty the machine of water. First Use – Having now set up the machine I was ready for my use, I opted to use the app as I thought that would be the easiest way and it was. With ‘SmartThings’ opened; I clicked on the Dryer, and from here choose “Laundry Recipe” option. The app presents with a picture menu of popular Drying items, from Jean, shirts, socks and underwear to the not so regular items such as bed sheets or curtains. You click next and have the choice of drying level and if you want wrinkle prevention. Next after this choice your final screen presents itself – advising the recommended cycle. Send to the machine and press start. Less than a minute from starting the app to starting the drying – amazingly simple. Whilst in use the machine and the app update – both display what the machine is currently doing but more importantly how long is left on the programme. At the end of the programme the machine plays a triumphant melody – you can turn this off – but so far it has been quite nice to hear. Performance – I have now done about 8 drying cycles since having the machine. All have dried fantastically – the main thing I have noticed is that the estimated drying time changes as the machine senses how much moisture is left in the wash. So often my items were ready well before the initial estimate. Which leads me to why this machine will be so good for me. I do not consider myself to be big on saving the planet or as my partner would want concerned about reducing the household bills – I think about both but that’s where it normally ends – just a thought – but with the recipe I am noticing that I am being guided to more economical cycles and despite this the clothes are coming out dry first time. When using my old machine it was not smart and often the clothes would still be damp and would need another cycle, so with the efficient Samsung I hope that my energy bills will be less. Ease of use – I think the app is the easiest way to set the machine going, but I was concerned what if my app broke or heaven forbid my phone did! Could I still use the machine? So, on one cycle I decided not to use the app. I am pleased to say that it was easy. You use the dial on the front to move through the various options, and then using the dimple buttons beneath the LCD display you can adjust further. But to my surprise the app is not just a gimmick and is indeed a big step forward, the recipe option has proved to be a nice touch. As with all dryers there is a filter, but the Samsung has 2 parts that need cleaning after each use; it is easy to do but a bit fiddly at first -however the cleaning brush they included is ideal for this task. Final Conclusion – The machine is solid and well built; has even more features that I have not had chance to use or test (for example I cannot wait to wash my trainers and use the shelf to dry them, no more thumping as my trusted running shoes free spin!) all I can say is I would thoroughly recommend this Samsung Dryer.

So far, we love this tumble dryer. Its a HUGE step up from our washer dryer which wasn't always reliable at drying clothes, even before the drying element in it went. Have only used it twice so far, and not had any issues with it, so pretty happy! Also love these smart features and being able to connect up to my phone with smart things! To be honest, I do highly recommend this dryer! My only complaint would be that they are definitely on the more pricey side, so was only able to afford during a sale by AO.

Had this dryer for a month now. Its quiet, very efficient and intelligent. It often starts a cycle with a given time but because it can sense when the load is dry the tome is much less than originally programmed. The WiFi capability is easy to set up and useful. If connected through smarting even ghe tv let's you know if ghd cycle has finished. Uses little Electric compared to vented machines. The ability to plumb in to a waste is brilliant and easy to do -- no emptying of the water reservoir required.

The tumble dryer does NOT fully dry our clothes! We have to change the dryness setting from 2 (Default) to 3 (Max) (4 hour run time), and then we have to run the cycle twice. The "Optimal Dry" setting automatically turns off the dryer when it detects the clothes are dry, but this is not sensitive enough, so it stops before the clothes are dry! The child lock feature is pointless, as the power button is not included in the child lock, so our toddler can turn off the tumble dryer mid-cycle, even with the child lock enabled! Very poor. Note that if you switch the door to open from the opposite site, it will not fit nicely into place and for the first couple of runs the dryer will blow lint out of the door seam. After a couple of runs the door will warp into place and seal the seam.

It has proved to be equally as good - very efficient (using roughly a third less power) and cutting drying times significantly. Not cheap, but it is a case of getting what you pay for.

Like the fact it has more settings and big plus is the towel setting! This one is much quieter and I really notice the difference in my towels and blankets. There's none of that fuss you'd usually have with with pipes and hoses etc, so indtallation is mega easy. You would think given the current climate, now us not the time to buy and tumble dryer, but it's super cheap to run. Far less expensive than turning your radiators on to try to desperately dry your clothes. As it's winter and I have 3 small children, I now couldn't live without it!

We received this tumble drier for product testing purposes. It is so easy to use. I love the that you can choose from many different programmes depending what you are drying. It seems to be very economical as our smart meter does not go into red when it is on. It looks good, very sleek and stylish. It wont connect to my I phone, but I think this is more the fact that I don't pick up our internet in utility room. It is very easy to clean the filters especially with the little brush.

We bought this dryer a few weeks ago with the intention of using the internal water tank to avoid having to adjust the laundry plumbing for the drainage. After a week of use the dryer has started spitting water on top of the tank instead of into it (there is no seal, just a pipe hanging above the hole in the tank) - this causes the dryer to complain the water tank is full even when it is completely empty and stops the dryer running. To get this looked at we have to risk the service callout fee (if it's working when they come we have to pay the fee). Instead we opted to come up with a bodge to connect it to the washing machine drain. For a new product I'd expect better, it's pretty clear this dryer isn't expected to be used with the internal water tank so if you're planning on that I'd be very wary!

The energy saving was a big reason for buying, aswell as the fact it can stack on top of my matching washer with the stacking kit. It take slightly longer to dry compared to my old vented dryer, but the quality of the drying is much better. Clothes left fluffy and in wrinkled thanks to the many features and general drying temperate. Highly recommend by itself but even better was a matching set.

I can wash and dry sports clothes, school uniforms in a day we have so much extra space and time now that the Samsung heat pump tumble dryer is in our home. it is truly wonderful. The added bonus of it being so cost-effective is also a real eye-opener we used to run a dehumidifier all night but now a few hours of the heat pump tumble dryer which cost so much less than running a dehumidifier throughout the night to dry our clothes.

Bought this after reading good reviews however I was disappointed. It took me 4 days to get any hot air as I couldn’t make any sense of the instructions but after connecting to the wifi and downloading app I finally found out. Not impressed with the fact that there is only one setting that can blow hot air the rest are on for hours and hours to actually dry your clothes which doesn’t seem very economical to me. I’ve had appliance 2 weeks now so we’ll see how it goes.

I absolutely love this Samsung dryer! It’s super easy to use, and the 9kg capacity is great—I can dry a whole load of towels in one go. The heat pump technology is a bonus; it feels good knowing it’s more energy-efficient. It’s also really quiet, which is nice when my daughter is asleep. Context - single person who has never had a drier before, previously using radiators and clothes horses. Household has a furry pet living inside of it. I co nevted the drain to an waste outlet and the unit is stacked on the washer. With that background this machine is life changing. After a wash of clothes, a drying cycle takes maybe 1hr 30mins on average using the sensors ajusting the times. The lint trap shows how apart from drying the load, it actually makes everything cleaner (lint, fur, general debris all being collected). Drying bedding takes two hits, arpund 3 hours in total, usually because the sheets get wrapped up with each other limiting drying. My weekly load shows about 0.8kWh electricity consumption per week - so 30p at 2022 rates. I genuinely do mean life changing- cleaner, quicker, and very energy efficient.

This dryer doesn’t dry properly. I put in a full superking sheet set on one cycle, finishes but items still wet. I split up and only put the one sheet and one pillow case. It finishes and items still wet. It takes three cycles to get one sheet dry. So not sure how it got a high energy rating. Even a small pile of clothes, it will take two cycles for them to come up dry. The ‘intelligence’ sucks. Don’t be fooled in by the app, it’s useless or the connecting with washer. If load 1 finishes in the washer and you load #2, then go to put in load 1 in the dryer, it suggests the cycle for load 2. Small detail but a pain. I did so much research into buying this set, not sure how it got so many good reviews. I should have listened to the small few bad ones! Am going to see if I can return, even if I loose money, I hate these machines!

We were worried about getting a heat pump.... How long will it really take? We were really pleasantly surprised.... Nearly a full load and the dryer sensed or weighed how much there was and adjusted the time. 2 hours to cupboard dry a nearly full load. We were worried about the drum only turning one way too but so far no tangled trousers or sheets (haven't done a full bedding wash though). Really pleased with the evenness of drying too!

Let me start with the fact I've never wanted a dryer, because of their terrible efficiency, major heat output and that awful damp room feeling.  UNTIL I found this Samsung dryer, which I've been using for +- 4months now. This thing is the opposite of all my dryer gripes. It's super efficient, having no real dent in my electricity usage even with multiple daily usages. I've literally stopped hanging washing up because it's just worth using. Next to no heat being expelled, you can stand next to it without getting a sunbelt leg. Zero humidity coming out of it. The best feature is the water reservoir, allowing you to use it without an outlet, convenient when you stay in smaller apartments with less options. This machine checks all the boxes for me and is worth the money. The only sad part now is, not that I WANT, but NEED the washing machine to go with it. maybe one day.

This is a much larger capacity dryer than my 24 year old one that it replaced! I love the feature that keeps tumbling once the cycle has finished to prevent creasing & that it notifies me on my phone once complete. I wish the app would make a sound though. The estimated time at the beginning of the cycle is often dramatically reduced once it realises that some of the clothes have been partly dried already.

Not really sure about this dryer yet. Only just taken delivery of it and not impressed that typical drying cycles are over 3 hours long. Our clothes will surely wear and fray? I realise that energy consumption is at a minimum but at the end of the day, what was wrong with a conventional vented dryer? Clothes dry in 45 minutes or maybe an extra 20 mins on low if needed. This dryer is impressively quiet and efficient. I changed from a condenser dryer to a heat pump in hopes that it would save energy and improve the drying of clothes etc. it has not disappointed. Conveniently this dryer has a condenser tray or the option to connect it to a water drainage pipe in your home. Clothes, linen, towels etc. come out soft and dry and still fragrant from the wash.

At first it seemed as though the ‘welcome’ screen kept repeating its messages. I even rang the help line to ask how to stop it. I was advised to run it empty and also to leave it unplugged for 30 mins. They didn’t work but running a load of washing to dry did get rid of it. I later found someone who had the same issue with a smart Samsung washer. Should’ve checked that first! Only had it three days so still not sure of the value of Wi-Fi connectivity or why it can be used with an app. As soon as the door is opened I’m sent a notification (I’m opening the door!?). I’ve switched those off. Also, the machine can’t be switched on remotely if the door is opened, making the remote controlling option useless. The first use of the dryer on auto settings with cotton towels and some small clothing items resulted in perfectly dry materials, which weren’t hot to the touch, unlike our previous, basic dryer.

The energy consumption and drying performance are great so far and less than expected. I've done three washes and my energy meter thinks I've only consumed 1.5kwH. The app is missing a few features - in particular, it could use the ability to set a start time in the future for those on smart time of use tariffs. Right now I have to lose the moisture sensor as I can only set an end tiem.

Very impressed so far. Super quiet compared to my previous condenser tumble dryer, and looks great too. The energy consumption as per the app appears to be around 1/3 of what the condenser would typically use - but I guess the energy bills will tell the real difference. Tonnes of fancy features, and plenty of different modes for drying which is pretty cool. The app is really useful too. It does take a while to dry (expect 2-3 hours per load - possibly less if you're lucky), but that's not a surprise as it states that everywhere on the internet and in the product description. Just don't under-load it or over-load it, and it will perform greatly. I think all in all, if you're looking for a smart tumble dryer, with the potential to save money long term on energy bills and contribute to a 'greener' home, then this is a great buy. It is a bigger upfront cost... but if you get this on offer, it's a no-brainer.

The dryer itself is ok however nowhere are you warned that about every 2 weeks you need to clean the filter and tap which are located behind a flap on the bottom left of the dryer. As someone with arthritis it means I am reliant on someone getting down on the floor and doing this for me. I wish I had known I would not have bought it

I had to knock just one star from the review simply based on 1 factor, it only dries in one direction so when drying sheets you have to keep taking them out and shaking them then putting them back in or you end up with a huge knot of sheets that are still soaked in the middle and creased to high heaven, other than this i love it.

Also great that it knows when the clothes are dry so you can set and forget Only issue is that it is not reverse tumble so when drying bed sheets they do end up rolling into a ball and annoying having to stop and fix a few times.

This has been a game changer for me. It is so cheap to run and looks very nice too. We have solar panels also so even better for the purse strings. I absolutely love it, clothes come out lovely and soft and not as wrinkled as they use to in my condensed tumble dryer, it says 3 hours to dry but only takes an hour & a half to dry a full load of mixed cotton & synthetic material & it plays a tune to let you know its finished.

Excellent machine. It uses hardly any electricity at all. Our energy bills are noticibly lower since upgrading to this from the Hotpoint Aquarius we had before. I've worked out it will pay for itself in energy savings within about 3 years! I have no complaints at all.

I loved this dryer when we first got it, loved the WiFi and how it all works, love all the settings and options and that you get notified on your phone. The only thing i’m disappointed in is the Condenser box that you can usually manually remove and clean to assure proper maintenance is non removable and you’re given a brush to ‘keep it clean’ but it catches all the lint and dust so as I’m sure most people like to do I take it out fully and give it a good clean every couple of washes, but with this one I can’t do it and have to put the hoover into it to make sure it’s clean haha! All in all the thing works amazing, but I was really very disappointed about the condenser, I’d have to pay a proper maintenance place to get it serviced now But as a dryer it’s self it works amazing, there’s a light inside when you open the door, there’s a tray that comes with it for delicates and the water filter is very easy to remove it’s a drawer like the washer but longer and you just pull it out and tip it into the sink to empty it

I bought the dryer about 4 months ago. I don't understand why they have taken the rotating function away, it only spins in one direction which makes the linen cluster into a burrito and have to untangle the linen every 2min which is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.

Do not buy this dryer. Less than 2 years and some sort of sticky thingy is leaking from the back of it. It went all over the floor, on my other appliance underneath the tumble dryer and in the wall too. I have never seen this before.

I've been using this machine for two months. The double filter is twice as difficult to clean. The dryer turns in one direction only, tangles up the clothes and bedding, wrinkle free program or not. I'm not satisfied at all.

Only just got it after our Candy condensing dryer finally packed in after 3 years, although it never really was much good in the first place. I never realised how much it guzzled the electricity at 2300 watts! This Samsung heat pump dryer is really impressive. It's rated at 700-800 watts. My smart meter energy display was showing just over 700 watts while it was being used to dry towels. It said it would take 3 1/2 hours to dry them, but it only took about 1 1/2 hours - it actually revised the time and ended the cycle by itself! A bit more expensive outlay, but it will pay for itself in no time. Even if my old dryer hadn't packed in, it would still be worth investing in one of these for the energy saving over time. This has the highest rating at A+++ and it makes a difference. Oh, and it does an excellent job drying the clothes, much better than the Candy. I also noticed that there is no condensation on the windows, unlike the old dryer. So yes, a very big thumbs up for this. I never thought we could dry clothes and see the energy display stay in the green!

Positives -quiet, and very energy efficient. Uses about 500watts to dry a full load. Negative - I wish it would alternate drunk direction on the bedding program to prevent the sheets being a tight ball and not drying.

I love this product as it is heat pump tumble dryer with energy rating of A+++, that means lower energy bills. the drying time is little bit longer but with sensor drying it dries clothing efficiently with lower bills

Good tumble dryer, quiet and looks smart, relatively efficient too. Downsides - struggles with bedding, takes a few goes at it to dry king size bedding… also the heat pump is fiddly and can be very hard to clean.
I recommended this product.

Nice looking machine, loads of features, works well with smart things. Now dont have to check when the washing is dry it sends you a message when its done. Quieter than our last machine and so much more efficient.

Dries well (be worried if it didn't) and easy to use. Seems really well made, great quality and very quiet running. Quick check of the smart meter says it costs less than half as much as the old dryer to run too.

Yes it may save electric and be quiet.. but that's about it.. it takes a very long time to get the items dry and if you're doing bedding.. make sure you don't want to put the bedding back on the bed the same day

I would say it is a good dryer, but not as good as o thought for beddings. Most of the time bed sheets mess up together and hardly completely dry. I think it is a common problem. Overall, it still help a lot.

Love the dryer, the quality of the build is high, user options and look are top end. Costs to run are not high and I love the app. Although connecting the dryer to the wifi took a bit of time to so.

Great dryer but the lights on panel don't light up and no simple delay start option. Instead you have a delay end which over complicates the process. Had to google how to use the delay end feature.
