Would not recommend, had less that 3 years and needs fixing. Samsung want to charge £155 call out fee to tell me what the error code means amd how to fix it. Honestly shocked as my old bush lasted 11 years and they are so much cheaper!

We were so in 2 minds about buying a heat pump tumble dryer, we just couldn't trust the reviews. We decided to look at Samsung because we were very happy with our Samsung washing machine and trust the make. We've now used it a few times and it's great. It's efficient, quiet and even with a big load, it takes up to 9KG, the washing comes out dry so long as you use the correct program. Well done Samsung, again.

I bought one 4 years ago , and now stopped heating. Start the cycle and after 15 min or so goes on pause and then stops, no warm air at all . Called a technician and said that probably lost gas and can't do nothing about it. Waste of money. Back then paid 720£ from Argos. Really disappointed.

Its really good dryer. So far we have tried mixed clothes, drying time was 3hrs and we also clocked the pennies on the smart meter result was amazing mrs was shocked by the drying quality and fluffiness of clothes and I was amazed by the pennies it dropped

Great drier in principle, quiet and super energy efficient. HOWEVER! i've only had it for 3 years and have had to call out the engineer to replace the whole heat exchange part twice (the main component in the machine costing £400 to replace!). I am not impressed! I would have expected much better manufacturing quality by Samsung especially at the £650 price tag! luckily i'm still under warranty but what happens when warranty runs out?? Might as well throw it away and buy a new one! Any buyers beware! Do not recommend at all!

Used once and that was after multiple goes to get it to turn on. Next day would not turn on, light is on inside but that's it. Collection organised but no replacement available, 7-10 after collection is delivered at their warehouse you get your money back. They suggest go back to their website and reorder yourself. UNBELIEVABLE

i had this delivered today and i have only used it once, full load on mixed load took 1hour and 10 mins and it used 0.455kw about 10 p clothes came out fine will take a little bit of time ot get use to the dials and programs

Was a lovely machine however, as a lot of customers have found has an issue around time warranty runs out that electronic motherboard goes wrong and dryer constantly goes into pause and will not dry. Samsung know this and are happy for customers facing £200 repair fee. Buyer beware better to spend a lot less money on a Becco and replace every five years and save money. Samsung should be assamed

I have had this dryer for just over 3 years in which it had been great at drying clothes quickly and leaving smelling as fresh as when they went in however in the last 2weeks I have only used it to dry towels which instead of taking 1.5hrs to dry it has been taking 5hours and telling me to switch off due to overheating even within it being on for 30minutes. I have had an engineer come out today through my insurance and write it off as it is unrepairable. The machine is like new still and after paying over £700 I would have expected it to be better, very disappointed and now on the look out for a new dryer.

If you’re happy buying a new product every 4 years then this is a great dryer, otherwise avoid it as they fail even when well looked after, can’t be repaired, and Samsung doesn’t care. We purchased one in 2021, and it worked fantastically for 4 years. Once out of warranty, it started to not dry clothes fully. Samsung charged us £140 to send a repair engineer (totally reasonable), who told us the machine looked extremely well cared for and maintained, but the main board needed replacing which was an easy fix. Purchased this Series 6 Optimal Dry Heat Pump Dryer, to replace our old condenser. I’m amazing at how efficient this new one is, and with minimal impact on drying time. Excellent mechine. Shame it broke after 4 years. Heat pump dryers can be repaired easily outside. Need to do special registrations to get 5 year warranty. And Samsung has lead time of 3 weeks for any repair call out. Poor after care customer service.

My old Sharp heat pump dryer stopped working after just 4 years, I did not want to spend on repairs so bought this new Samsung heat pump dryer. Cons: 1. This Samsung dryer lint tray is difficult to clean with lint sticking on and the edges where the tray fits are very difficult to clean even when I use a car vacuum cleaner. Previous Sharp dryer was much easier to clean. 2. Water tray takes 8 turns to empty all water because of the shape, previous dryer took 2-3 turns. 3. The door does not open wide enough, just a little more than 90 degrees, previous dryer opened all the way. 4. The door has a deep depression in the front that gathers dust and marks. 5. White dryers should have a white door but this white Samsung dryer has a black door making it look out of place. 6. The cycle stops when the dryer senses that clothes have dried but the timer on the screen keeps showing the full 3 hours till it stops even much earlier, previous Sharp dryer showed reduced time in between the cycle. 7. Large sheets get entangled while drying leaving the insides wet, did not happen in previous Sharp dryer. Pros: 1. 5 year warranty of this Samsung is a big plus. The previous Sharp dryer just stopped working suddenly after 4 years and repairs were too expensive, plus Sharp had just 2 years warranty. So this is a big positive. Sharp was a big disappointment. 2. This dryer is very quiet, we could not talk or listen to music with the previous Sharp heat pump dryer but this dryer is so quiet that you don't even notice it running! 3. Samsung smart things phone app shows time left in cycle on the phone and can send new cycles and diagnose stuff which is cool. 4. Samsung dryer uses less energy than previous dryer, so cheaper to run. 5. The front levelling leg in this Samsung dryer was hard to turn, needed a wrench, but once it turned it balanced on the uneven floor easily and made the dryer stable.

At first it seemed as though the ‘welcome’ screen kept repeating its messages. I even rang the help line to ask how to stop it. I was advised to run it empty and also to leave it unplugged for 30 mins. They didn’t work but running a load of washing to dry did get rid of it. I later found someone who had the same issue with a smart Samsung washer. Should’ve checked that first! Only had it three days so still not sure of the value of Wi-Fi connectivity or why it can be used with an app. As soon as the door is opened I’m sent a notification (I’m opening the door!?). I’ve switched those off. Also, the machine can’t be switched on remotely if the door is opened, making the remote controlling option useless. The first use of the dryer on auto settings with cotton towels and some small clothing items resulted in perfectly dry materials, which weren’t hot to the touch, unlike our previous, basic dryer.

So apart from the delivery drivers trailing mud all over the carpet when I only wanted the product placed on the door step, the dryer itself is fantastic. We did have a false start when first switching the dryer on as the language got set for Danish and trying to reset it was a nightmare, but good old you tube came to the rescue and quickly found details of how to make the change. Compared to the condenser dryer we had this Samsung is soo quiet. There is a good range of programmes for different items and so far all good. Some programmes do take longer than other types of dryers but it's also cheaper to run and so far nothing has shrunk in this dryer because of the controlled heat. Having the drawer at the top for collecting the water also makes it easy to empty although there is also an option to plumb in the dryer to a wastewater pipe. The dryer does remind you to empty the filter which seems to work efficiently as it has an insert so is like a double filter. There is also. handy long handled brush for cleaning the heat exchanger which the display also reminds you to do. It is a bit more expensive than a condenser but in my opinion well worth it.

Not really sure about this dryer yet. Only just taken delivery of it and not impressed that typical drying cycles are over 3 hours long. Our clothes will surely wear and fray? I realise that energy consumption is at a minimum but at the end of the day, what was wrong with a conventional vented dryer? Clothes dry in 45 minutes or maybe an extra 20 mins on low if needed. I'm on the fence at the moment.

The energy consumption and drying performance are great so far and less than expected. I've done three washes and my energy meter thinks I've only consumed 1.5kwH. The app is missing a few features - in particular, it could use the ability to set a start time in the future for those on smart time of use tariffs. Right now I have to lose the moisture sensor as I can only set an end tiem.

Very impressed so far. Super quiet compared to my previous condenser tumble dryer, and looks great too. The energy consumption as per the app appears to be around 1/3 of what the condenser would typically use - but I guess the energy bills will tell the real difference. Tonnes of fancy features, and plenty of different modes for drying which is pretty cool. The app is really useful too. It does take a while to dry (expect 2-3 hours per load - possibly less if you're lucky), but that's not a surprise as it states that everywhere on the internet and in the product description. Just don't under-load it or over-load it, and it will perform greatly. I think all in all, if you're looking for a smart tumble dryer, with the potential to save money long term on energy bills and contribute to a 'greener' home, then this is a great buy. It is a bigger upfront cost... but if you get this on offer, it's a no-brainer.

I love my new tumble dryer. My first time purchasing a Samsung product and it's a dream. Easy to empty the condenser drawer as its high up and i have a bad back. Checking my phone to see how long the program has remaining is handy. And the little jingle it plays when the cycle has finished just cheers me up. It is a sleek looking machine and the 9kg capacity is brilliant for my family of 4. The extended 5 year warranty is also a huge bonus and customer service has been brilliant to date.

I absolutely love this Samsung dryer! It’s super easy to use, and the 9kg capacity is great—I can dry a whole load of towels in one go. The heat pump technology is a bonus; it feels good knowing it’s more energy-efficient. It’s also really quiet, which is nice when my daughter is asleep. The Quick Dry feature has been a lifesaver a few times, and the design looks great in the laundry room. Overall, it’s made laundry day so much less of a chore. Definitely worth it!
