How to use my dryer with SmartThings?
You can connect your Samsung dryer to the SmartThings app and manage it with a simple touch. The SmartThings app will help you find the most efficient way to do your laundry, freeing up more time for you.
Please note:
- Make sure your dryer and smartphone are connected to a Wi-Fi network before starting, as all functions are only available on a Wi-Fi connection.
- Remember to sync your Samsung account and SmartThings app with your dryer.
- Ensure your devices’ software and related apps are updated to the latest version.
- Mobile screenshots may vary depending on the device model you have.

How to set the basic dryer cycle
1. Tap the circle or text (i.e, Cotton) on the main screen
2. Select the desired Cycle List for your laundry > Tap OK
3. Set the Dry Level > Tap OK
4. Set the desired Dry Time > Tap OK
Please note: Some of the option names, such as Cycles and Dry Level, may differ from the dryer models that you have.
How to use Laundry Recipe
Laundry Recipe will recommend the drying cycle based on your setting time.
1. Tap LAUNDRY RECIPE
2. Select your laundry type > Tap NEXT
3. Select the Dry level and set your preference for Wrinkle prevent > Tap GET RECIPE
4. Laundry recipe will recommend the best dry cycle for your laundry. If you wish to proceed, tap Start
How to use Laundry Planner
Laundry Planner will recommend the drying cycle based on your setting time.
1. Tap LAUNDRY PLANNER
2. Tap End Time to set the dry time
3. Set the desired dry time > Tap OK
4. You can use a recommended dry cycle based on time. Tap the check box (✓) > Select NEXT to start
Please note: Selected options cannot be changed while laundry is in the process of being cleaned. (Changes will be reflected in the next laundry session.)
