New to heatpump technology and I'm NEVER going back! Extremely energy effiecient, literally my smart home tells me the TV and/or the Dehumidifier used more power than the dryer (which I use regularly). If you're drying things like sheets, use common sense, its going to roll up into a ball, take your sheets out give them a shake put them back in, everything else will be perfectly dried without supervision. 300 loads perfectly dried in record time so far! User SmartThings to create a smart network that will keep you 'in the loop', it also keeps track of your usage and any maintenance that is required (Self Tub Dry/Clean The Heat Exchanger)

6 Months of hell! It started only 2 months after the first purchase, the dryer flooded my laundry (internal pump failure) I received a replacement unit it was a lower model as they didn’t have my original unit in stock and received no compensation even tho I asked for it… the now “replacement” unit has failed almost exactly 2 months again flooding my laundry. Technician came out again and said the same thing internal pump failure! I told Samsung I want a refund they said okay… IT TOOK 4 MONTHS TO COLLET!! AND REFUND THE MONEY!! I have had issues with other Samsung products too a TV there products look good and have wonderful features BUT THEY ARE JUNK! *AVOID* *AVOID* *AVOID* SAMSUNG!!!

Happy to have finally bought a new Dryer! Not only does it come with a 9 Star Rating, but I can use my Samsung Flip5 mobile phone to tell the dryer what I want dried. The SmartThings is easy to use. Dryer arrived this morning whilst I was at work and I put my work clothes in in the afternoon after I washed them, no ironing needed, used the app and it even SINGS when ready! Easy to learn Instructions, simple and smells like SOFresh and SOClean! Must have! Cant wait to afford the matching washing Machine to go with and throw away this Kogan brand washing machine. Omg and thier is NO NOISE!! SOOO AMAZING! I did not realise how noisey the old dryer was!

This thing is fantastic for my garage laundry - doesn't vent humid air out into an enclosed space, runs surprisingly quiet, notifications to my phone for a) when it expected the load to finish and b) for when it actually has finished. The 3 hour 'keep turning so it doesn't wrinkle' feature is great and means everything comes our lovely and warm too! Would highly recommend, delivery and installation were fantastic too, next day, with a time window that morning, and a 30-minute warning text too, they were quick to get in and ensured that both it (and my existing washing machine!) were levelled and appropriately spaced away from each other and the walls etc.

I received this Tumble Drier from Samsung for product testing. Machine very easy to install. Connected to my Samsung phone via the app very easily. Lots of drying recipes to pick the perfect one. Dried the towels perfectly. The water collector is easy to remove and empty, the fluff collector comes in two parts and is very simple to clean. A fluff brush that comes with the machine removes the lint from the collector superbly, it has a suction cup to attach to front of machine so you don't lose it. Compared to other tumble driers I have used it seems to be far more economical, my smart meter does not go into the red.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost. Its super quiet and really efficient. We can use it anytime of day and it doesnt impact our power. The app function is great for setting it up. I wish you could start and stop it via the app but its great bit of kit. It plays a tune when done. The filter is easy to clean plus a tool provided. Negatives if any: Most items are dried first time. Sometimes they clunk together and need a second spin but all dryers have this. I wish it had come with the shoe rack for drying washed trainers. In summary. For energy efficiency and near perfect drying ability. This wins hands down and i have recommended to many colleagues and friends alike

This Dryer is the best upgrade of a product we have bought in recent times. Our old 5kg condenser dryer was not big enough to cope with a full load of washing from our Samsung 8.5kg front load washing machine, which we also love. I have used a few programs and I am impressed with how the technology senses how much drying time is needed. It's so quiet and no lint floating around in the air - great filtration system. Any dog hair that might be left on clothes after washing, is completely gone after a cycle through this Dryer and everything is so soft. It has an awesome 9 star energy rating, so I hope to see the savings on the power bill when it comes. Just Brilliant.

Very disappointed, got my new machine 4 weeks ago and right from the beginning it didn't dry clothes even with small loads, never seemed to heat up. Something that should take half hr took 1 and a half hrs and still damp so had to take out and put on clothes airer. Reported to appliances on line told me to contact samsung and they have come out and there is a defect. Won't replace , although machine being new but are going to repair. HOPE I HAVEN'T BOUGHT A LEMON FOR THE PRICE. I have always purchased through appliances on line and never any issues. Not their fault and will continue to buy things through them

Perhaps not quite what I was expecting from this new technology... Works fine, but takes a bit longer, than a conventional dryer. The 'AI' function seems to be merely a marketing line. Best dry (mixed load) seems to be 'Cotton' - it's a bit more gentle, and not as hot. 'Tis a bit of a noisy machine, with it's regular thump; thump; thump, on rotation - apparently that's normal...ha! The lint filter is easy to clean; and don't forget to also clean the condensor, in the compartment next to it. Way too many programmes on the dial, but there again, am used to two settings: Duration; and temperature.

I am really happy with this dryer's performance. The clothes come out perfectly dry every time and I get an alert on my phone when the cycle is finished. This allows me to get the load out straight away and hung/folded to prevent wrinkles. If I know I won't be home when the cycle finishes, I can use a setting to prevent wrinkles. The 9 Star energy rating was a big selling point for me. I can use my dryer without having to worry about my next electricity bill. Overall a great machine. All the features (and then some) of the other brands, at a much better price. Happy to recommend this dryer to others.

Very fancy machine, considering the 20yo basic one this replaced. I haven’t bothered with the connectivity function. I like the post-dry anti wrinkle feature. Heat selection and general drying for clothes and towels is good. What’s truly disappointing, is that bed sheets turn into neat bundles of damp fabric. Despite using drier balls. The anti wrinkle feature is no good when the item isn’t dry in the first place and resembles a burrito. Pretty disappointing to have spent a lot of money on this when my 20yo dryer used to reverse tumble as part of the drying cycles. I’ve extensively researched and I’m quite certain there’s nothing else I can do, other than rearrange the load every 20mins. Ugh.

I are happy with the performance of this dryer. I like the convenience of not relying on out side drying. The machine is quiet and of course needs no ventilation. The number of variations for drying cycles is a little confusing in what seems a simple operation. That said the AI cycle calculates what the machine requires time wise and it is handy the machine recognises optimum times to allow best drying times for those who prefer to iron shirts. In time I suspect I will be more familiar in this regard. I like the internet functionality to operate and monitor time to completion remotely. That allows PV Solar systems to supply power during the day. There is a manual delay that can be also used to start the machine.

I bought this dryer directly from Samsung. The order and delivery process was not straightfoward and communicating with the sales and delivery team is extremely difficult. It took many weeks to finally get this delivered. I would suggest others buy from a reseller if they want this dryer. Otherwise, this is a great dryer. This is my second heat pump dryer from Samsung and this new line dries much faster than the previous models. My sheets still ball up and I have to intervene often to get them properly dried. I think this is a common promblem with heat pump dryers though.

The Samsung 8kg Heat Pump Smart Dryer (DV80T5420AW_SA) is seriously impressive! It's like having a laundry wizard at home. First off, this thing is gentle on clothes but tough on drying, thanks to its Heat Pump tech. Perfect for all kinds of laundry loads, and it's pretty smart too – I control it from my phone! Looks-wise, it's sleek and fits right in. Plus, it's an energy-saving champ, which is a win for my bills. The drying programs are spot-on with sensors making sure nothing gets overdried. Just a heads up, though: it might take a tad longer, but hey, good things take time, right? Overall, if you want your clothes to last and still be perfectly dry, the Samsung Smart Dryer is the real deal. Totally worth it for hassle-free laundry days!

Really enjoying my new heat pump dryer. It is replacing an ancient 4kg vented dryer that was on its last legs. It’s so fantastic to have a dryer that doesn’t fill the room with dust and condensation, you can put everything in and set to AI dry and it handles the rest for you. Really enjoy its smart sensor to keep drying until it senses the clothes are the correct level of dryness, and also enjoy it remembers the most frequently used setting so it’s placed as the first option to choose. Also love that the door can be changed to left swing, most dryers didn’t have the option but works best for my laundry layout. I haven’t done this yet but will add functionality once it’s done. I’m sure there is more functions I haven’t used yet but so far loving the new dryer!

So far, we love this tumble dryer. Its a HUGE step up from our washer dryer which wasn't always reliable at drying clothes, even before the drying element in it went. Have only used it twice so far, and not had any issues with it, so pretty happy! Also love these smart features and being able to connect up to my phone with smart things! To be honest, I do highly recommend this dryer! My only complaint would be that they are definitely on the more pricey side, so was only able to afford during a sale by AO.

Great product. Really happy to see the inbuilt water catcher so it doesn't need to be plumbed. Stacked this dryer on top of my Samsung washing machine and saves so much space and looks neat. Great that it connects to Smart Things so it will tell me on my phone when it's finished!

Had this dryer for a month now. Its quiet, very efficient and intelligent. It often starts a cycle with a given time but because it can sense when the load is dry the tome is much less than originally programmed. The WiFi capability is easy to set up and useful. If connected through smarting even ghe tv let's you know if ghd cycle has finished. Uses little Electric compared to vented machines. The ability to plumb in to a waste is brilliant and easy to do -- no emptying of the water reservoir required.

The tumble dryer does NOT fully dry our clothes! We have to change the dryness setting from 2 (Default) to 3 (Max) (4 hour run time), and then we have to run the cycle twice. The "Optimal Dry" setting automatically turns off the dryer when it detects the clothes are dry, but this is not sensitive enough, so it stops before the clothes are dry! The child lock feature is pointless, as the power button is not included in the child lock, so our toddler can turn off the tumble dryer mid-cycle, even with the child lock enabled! Very poor. Note that if you switch the door to open from the opposite site, it will not fit nicely into place and for the first couple of runs the dryer will blow lint out of the door seam. After a couple of runs the door will warp into place and seal the seam.

Very nice to use dryer. Quiet and very effective, low electricity usage (that's why we paid more upfront for a heat pump dryer). It reports using 10.3kWh since installed a month ago, for two people. It also works well in an internal laundry with minimal ventilation. Easy to set up drain hose to drain water automatically. Biggest annoyance is the lint filter is a bit finicky to empty, in a nested double clamshell shape, but it makes sense as it has to catch more of the lint than a vent dryer I guess.

Like the fact it has more settings and big plus is the towel setting! This one is much quieter and I really notice the difference in my towels and blankets. Drying times are shorter as well which means it is using less electricity so that's a big plus. It will be put to the test as i have a large family and it will be used everyday in winter but so far so good.

There's none of that fuss you'd usually have with with pipes and hoses etc, so indtallation is mega easy. You would think given the current climate, now us not the time to buy and tumble dryer, but it's super cheap to run. Far less expensive than turning your radiators on to try to desperately dry your clothes. As it's winter and I have 3 small children, I now couldn't live without it!

We received this tumble drier for product testing purposes. It is so easy to use. I love the that you can choose from many different programmes depending what you are drying. It seems to be very economical as our smart meter does not go into red when it is on. It looks good, very sleek and stylish. It wont connect to my I phone, but I think this is more the fact that I don't pick up our internet in utility room. It is very easy to clean the filters especially with the little brush.

We bought this dryer a few weeks ago with the intention of using the internal water tank to avoid having to adjust the laundry plumbing for the drainage. After a week of use the dryer has started spitting water on top of the tank instead of into it (there is no seal, just a pipe hanging above the hole in the tank) - this causes the dryer to complain the water tank is full even when it is completely empty and stops the dryer running. To get this looked at we have to risk the service callout fee (if it's working when they come we have to pay the fee). Instead we opted to come up with a bodge to connect it to the washing machine drain. For a new product I'd expect better, it's pretty clear this dryer isn't expected to be used with the internal water tank so if you're planning on that I'd be very wary!

I have recently purchased this dryer to match my washer. It so far is brilliant. The energy saving was a big reason for buying, aswell as the fact it can stack on top of my matching washer with the stacking kit. It take slightly longer to dry compared to my old vented dryer, but the quality of the drying is much better. Clothes left fluffy and in wrinkled thanks to the many features and general drying temperate. Highly recommend by itself but even better was a matching set.

I did not like to put the school jumpers or socks etc into the tumble dryer as sometimes they could shrink however our new Samsung heat pump tumble dryer has changed our lives, it is fantastic!! I can wash and dry sports clothes, school uniforms in a day we have so much extra space and time now that the Samsung heat pump tumble dryer is in our home. it is truly wonderful. The added bonus of it being so cost-effective is also a real eye-opener we used to run a dehumidifier all night but now a few hours of the heat pump tumble dryer which cost so much less than running a dehumidifier throughout the night to dry our clothes.

Context - single person who has never had a drier before, previously using radiators and clothes horses. Household has a furry pet living inside of it. I co nevted the drain to an waste outlet and the unit is stacked on the washer. With that background this machine is life changing. After a wash of clothes, a drying cycle takes maybe 1hr 30mins on average using the sensors ajusting the times. The lint trap shows how apart from drying the load, it actually makes everything cleaner (lint, fur, general debris all being collected). Drying bedding takes two hits, arpund 3 hours in total, usually because the sheets get wrapped up with each other limiting drying. My weekly load shows about 0.8kWh electricity consumption per week - so 30p at 2022 rates. I genuinely do mean life changing- cleaner, quicker, and very energy efficient.

As promised, this dryer does not pump out gross hot humid air into the laundry room. There is a tank that needs to be emptied. It doesn't alert you when it needs to be done, but it leaks all over the floor instead, so I just empty the tank after every load and then there's no issues. Takes longer than my old dryer but overall I'm pretty happy because there's no mould, and I'm assured it's more energy efficient (haven't had a power bill yet, so we'll see).

Haven't used a dryer for a few years as our new laundry didn't have any way to easily vent one without significant renovations. Heat pump is a game changer - minimal extra heat, no humidity and damp issues. The water container comfortably holds enough for a decent size load of damp stuff. A big load of sheets or a doona take probably 4 - 5 hours to dry, but as far as I can tell, lower heat and slower dry is by design. Disappointed that it can't be wall mounted. Wifi was a bit finnicky to connect but once connected it's been reliable talking to my Home Assistant server via Smarthings. Would be nice if it was local though - my phone shouldn't need to talk to a Samsung server half way around the world to check the status of my dryer downstairs. Overall we liked it enough that we went and bought the matching washing machine a week later.

Living in Melbourne it is hard to dry the clothes outside during winter time. I finally invested in getting a dryer and it has been the best decision yet. There are different settings depending on what you are drying. Towels come out so fluffy, clothes dried and warm. Been 6months and loving every use. I was worried about the electricity bill since we have been using it so frequently, and surprisingly it was only a slight difference. SO WORTH IT!

Great dryer... when it works! We had to get the dryer replaced within a few weeks of purchasing because it was making excessive banging noises when drying. A year later after hooking it up to the laundry plumbing (which is a whole other story, Samsung admits the parts they provide do not fit Australian pipes...), it started stopping and the message said to empty the internal tank. The internal tank was ALWAYS empty because the water was going down the laundry pipes! But alas the cycle continued to pause itself every time so I could empty the already empty tank. Service tech came out and replaced the entire inner workings of the machine. The issue persisted even after the service, to the point of the dryer just flooding our laundry with water. We were warned against buying this brand and now I see why! Not worth the troubles, keep looking.

This dryer doesn’t dry properly. I put in a full superking sheet set on one cycle, finishes but items still wet. I split up and only put the one sheet and one pillow case. It finishes and items still wet. It takes three cycles to get one sheet dry. So not sure how it got a high energy rating. Even a small pile of clothes, it will take two cycles for them to come up dry. The ‘intelligence’ sucks. Don’t be fooled in by the app, it’s useless or the connecting with washer. If load 1 finishes in the washer and you load #2, then go to put in load 1 in the dryer, it suggests the cycle for load 2. Small detail but a pain. I did so much research into buying this set, not sure how it got so many good reviews. I should have listened to the small few bad ones! Am going to see if I can return, even if I loose money, I hate these machines!

Rubber seal around the door as detached after only 3 months of use. Apparently not a manufacturing issue ( even though they know it's an issue and haven't done anything to correct it) $143 call out fee which includes first 15mins, how generous $33 fee per 15mins after that, plus parts! Single mum thinking I'd go with Samsung because the quality is usually good .... I was wrong! Now have NO washing machine. Bloody furious!

This dryer does a great job, It has featured loads of functionalities but it's very easy to use. AI function works seamlessly. I have been using this dryer for at least two days per week but I haven't had any surprises on my energy bill. I live in a small unit so where I don't have a separate vent for a dryer, So I kept the dryer on top of the washer but it doesn't move at all. I'm so glad that I purchased this product.

So far really happy with this dryer. I like the AI drying function. Previously had a Bosch dryer and the clothes remained damp and had to put on so many times to get the clothes dry. I thought it was just the nature of pump dryers until I started using this Samsung. Love opening my dryer door now - no more dread about damp clothes sitting in the dryer - and then there's the joy of pulling out fresh, fluffy towels.

We got this new last week and have run over 35 cycles and it still smells bad. The smell also transfers onto your washing. We get charged a $270 call out fee if Samsung repair team come out and determine the smell is normal for the machine. The internal water tank doesn’t have a lid so when it gets full and needs emptying then it spills everywhere as you empty it. sheets ball up the then don’t dry in the middle.

We've had our Samsung dryer a few weeks now and it's so far, so good. It dries well, is very quiet and the double filter is easy to clean. It's double the capacity of our old dryer, so you put a lot of clothes in. We're still getting our head around the programs, trying to work out which is best in certain circumstances. But, if in doubt, we just run it manually with the timer. Seems to be a very good dryer.

This is a much larger capacity dryer than my 24 year old one that it replaced! I love the feature that keeps tumbling once the cycle has finished to prevent creasing & that it notifies me on my phone once complete. I wish the app would make a sound though. The estimated time at the beginning of the cycle is often dramatically reduced once it realises that some of the clothes have been partly dried already.

Bought this machine just over two years ago. Within the first month the barrel seized (warranty fixed) but still inconvenient. Now two years on just out of warranty and the heat pump has died. My last $200 dryer lasted 10 years to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Love that it was energy efficient and quiet with no condensation. Would have loved this product maybe I just got a dodgy one.

I had been expecting a slower machine, reading the reviews but its really very good and worth the investment. The electricity bills are much lower, as we have a big family, so use the machine a lot.

At first it seemed as though the ‘welcome’ screen kept repeating its messages. I even rang the help line to ask how to stop it. I was advised to run it empty and also to leave it unplugged for 30 mins. They didn’t work but running a load of washing to dry did get rid of it. I later found someone who had the same issue with a smart Samsung washer. Should’ve checked that first! Only had it three days so still not sure of the value of Wi-Fi connectivity or why it can be used with an app. As soon as the door is opened I’m sent a notification (I’m opening the door!?). I’ve switched those off. Also, the machine can’t be switched on remotely if the door is opened, making the remote controlling option useless. The first use of the dryer on auto settings with cotton towels and some small clothing items resulted in perfectly dry materials, which weren’t hot to the touch, unlike our previous, basic dryer.

The energy consumption and drying performance are great so far and less than expected. I've done three washes and my energy meter thinks I've only consumed 1.5kwH. The app is missing a few features - in particular, it could use the ability to set a start time in the future for those on smart time of use tariffs. Right now I have to lose the moisture sensor as I can only set an end tiem.

Bought this heat pump tumble dryer despite being advised against heat pump dryers. Safe to say that if you buy a decent one, they work well or better than a normal dryer. Really impressed, nice design and features and the ai moisture sensor is great when you want to put just a small amount in, it adjusts the time down quickly so that you're only doing a cycle as long as is needed.

Very impressed so far. Super quiet compared to my previous condenser tumble dryer, and looks great too. The energy consumption as per the app appears to be around 1/3 of what the condenser would typically use - but I guess the energy bills will tell the real difference. Tonnes of fancy features, and plenty of different modes for drying which is pretty cool. The app is really useful too. It does take a while to dry (expect 2-3 hours per load - possibly less if you're lucky), but that's not a surprise as it states that everywhere on the internet and in the product description. Just don't under-load it or over-load it, and it will perform greatly. I think all in all, if you're looking for a smart tumble dryer, with the potential to save money long term on energy bills and contribute to a 'greener' home, then this is a great buy. It is a bigger upfront cost... but if you get this on offer, it's a no-brainer.

I bought it online recently as part of the Black Friday sale. The price was exceptionally good and delivery was free and excellent. I tried it the same day it arrived. The full load on AI cycle was done in a bit more than 1.5h and all clothes came perfectly dry and not too wrinkled. I'm very happy with the purchase and looking forward winter months when it will be very useful.

Its a good machine, but doesn't like to be too loaded. Annoyingly it doesn't seem to have any reverse-tumble mechanism to prevent large sheets from bundling up into a tight ball and just rolling in the drum. A quick flick in reverse for a turn would solve the issue. Have only used the Ai program. It seems to work the best. Reasonably efficient machine, and quiet.

The heat pump dryer is pricey, my vent dryer lasted me for 8 good years, I hope this heat pump dryer can last us long enough to make the money worth it.

I had to knock just one star from the review simply based on 1 factor, it only dries in one direction so when drying sheets you have to keep taking them out and shaking them then putting them back in or you end up with a huge knot of sheets that are still soaked in the middle and creased to high heaven, other than this i love it.

Great investment, not too loud and AI function is fantastic - great item for first time dryer owners as the AI function is able to determine how long the items inside take - also extremely energy. I had also purchased the matching samsung washer and its been fantastic; I'm using a sound/vibration mat to stack.

I got this Samsung dryer recently and very happy with my purchase. With a 9 star energy rating it has different drying settings and functions for different type of cloths. It has 4 dryer level settings but with the 3rd setting it will dry cloths, enough to straightway put in the wardrobe. Highly recommended!

I needed a replacement after my vented dryer died on me. I decided to get a heat pump this time and best decision ever. No more humidity, its quiet and my clothes come out wrinkle-free and soft. This has been a game changer for me. It is so cheap to run and looks very nice too. We have solar panels also so even better for the purse strings. Takes a little bit of getting used to with the programs but trial and error with anything new. Very clear program descriptions for each cycle, love it!!

We recently needed to purchase a new dryer, as our old one wasn't drying our items properly. After a lot of in-depth research, we decided to go with the Samsung 8kg Heat Pump Dryer, and it is amazing! Very energy efficient, and the drying time is so much shorter than other dryers. Highly recommend!

This dryer is so unbelievably quiet! I bought this dryer as I live in an apartment and I was sick of the condensation and having to leave the exhaust fan and windows open so this was a perfect purchase. Clothes do take a little bit longer but they are completely dry. Really happy with my purchase.

The heat pump dryer was faulty (it produced no heat). So, I returned the dryer. I bought a Samsung Qdrive washing machine three years ago which I have been happy with. So, I decided to buy a Samsung heat pump dryer. But I was not lucky this time. No heat. Otherwise, it is probably a good machine.

This dryer is awesome. Granted, I haven't received a power bill as yet to see the effect it has but, it's quite, easy to use, our clothes etc font have that old dryer burnt clothes smell, the kids can use it with ease, no condensation build up in the laundry and I love the anti wrinkle option.

The overall performance of the dryer, energy efficiency and useful info/access from the app makes it a good buy. My biggest complaint about this dryer is the farce AI capabilities. I tested it with just one cloth and a full load, it always runs for a fixed 99mins even after sensing the load.

I bought this model in 2022 when it was first released. It works perfectly with out any issue. So far no complaints, no problems. Works perfectly with out any noise. no need to install water outlet as it has water collection tray, which is nice if you have no drain near by. love to have it.

This dryer has been a godsend here throughout the last six months of flooding rain. It performs really well and is very energy efficient. It dries better than expected for a heat pump dryer, the only times it doesn't is when the wet laundry is not loosely added from the washing machine.

This is my first time owning a dryer. So far I have found it to be very easy to use. The AI features make it easy to decide which setting is the most appropriate. Laundry came out dry without havind to add another drying round I am yet to pair both dryer and the washing machine.

I absolutely love it, clothes come out lovely and soft and not as wrinkled as they use to in my condensed tumble dryer, it says 3 hours to dry but only takes an hour & a half to dry a full load of mixed cotton & synthetic material & it plays a tune to let you know its finished.

We've been using this Heat Pump Smart Dryer on almost a daily basis for past 7 months. The quality of drying is pretty impressive, unlike other dryers it doesn't deteriorate fabric, hardly any increase in the monthly electricity bill and easy to clean lint trap.

Does a really great job of drying and doesn't fog up the laundry. Emptying the water reservoir is fascinating at first, so being able to plumb it to the basin is perfect. IoT notifications to my phone and TV is neat. Very happy with the small energy usage!

I spent a LOT of timing finding a quality matched washer and drier. The drier is efficient and has kept up with lots of use over the 6 months I've had it so far. Quite a cool drying temp so less panic that the MRS will kill me for shrinking something haha.

I researched several heat pump dryers. This one does the job well. It’s quiet, the clothes come out dry, and it’s easy to use. The is zero condensation after using, and I would not go back to a vented dryer after using this. The extra cost is worth it.

Does a great job of drying without generating moisture in the apartment. Reasonably quick with a wide range of programs. Due to the condenser it is significantly louder than a vented dryer, and the sound is quite unpleasant in a small apartment.

Good dryer does its job perfectly. Heatpump technology is good as there is no moisture in the laundry room and the dryer is energy efficient. Smart Things app control need a bit more features to be useful but thats an additional feature.

Do not buy this dryer. Less than 2 years and some sort of sticky thingy is leaking from the back of it. It went all over the floor, on my other appliance underneath the tumble dryer and in the wall too. I have never seen this before.

Only just got it after our Candy condensing dryer finally packed in after 3 years, although it never really was much good in the first place. I never realised how much it guzzled the electricity at 2300 watts! This Samsung heat pump dryer is really impressive. It's rated at 700-800 watts. My smart meter energy display was showing just over 700 watts while it was being used to dry towels. It said it would take 3 1/2 hours to dry them, but it only took about 1 1/2 hours - it actually revised the time and ended the cycle by itself! A bit more expensive outlay, but it will pay for itself in no time. Even if my old dryer hadn't packed in, it would still be worth investing in one of these for the energy saving over time. This has the highest rating at A+++ and it makes a difference. Oh, and it does an excellent job drying the clothes, much better than the Candy. I also noticed that there is no condensation on the windows, unlike the old dryer. So yes, a very big thumbs up for this. I never thought we could dry clothes and see the energy display stay in the green!
