[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] so i picked up one of the new samsung t7 shield drives to use when out in the field shooting photos. i love this drive as it gives me the ability to transfer files off my camera through my laptop to it quickly. the amount of speed this thing has is incredible. it didn’t quite hit the speeds that they mentioned but was able to transfer much faster than others i have tried. with the ip65 rating, i don’t have to worry about the weather getting bad or overheating because of its thermal guard. i got consistent 400-450mb/s when transferring files and is fast enough to edit off of. if you’re looking for a fast drive that you can actually work off of then this is the one for you!

The touch features are extraordinarily getting better and better with each device they put on the market. The case with the carabiner it's so helpful. It's really durable. Handy and protective. First off, I wanted to like this case. It came free with my Galaxy Bud 3 Pro purchase and seemed like it would be a good fit. However, now that I've had some time with it, this case is a complete disaster. First, as many have noted, the pairing button is covered up, so if your phone or smart TV decides it no longer recognizes your buds, you have to forget the device and repair, which requires access to the pairing button and to do that you must remove the buds case from the clip case and that's not an easy task. Also, after a short amount of time in the clip case, you will start noticing wear on the Galaxy Bud 3 Pro case! This is NOT okay. The whole point of having an added protective case is to protect your valuables. You'll see in the photo that after 3 months, the Bud 3 Pro case is now wearing. This is VERY disappointing, and had I known this, I would have never used this clip case. Mind you, I do not treat my electronics rough. They only sit on my work desk. Therefore, the wearing occurs only by opening the lid and using the buds, then returning them to the case. Bottom line, don't use this case for the above reasons and I hope Samsung works to resolve this design flaw.

I can transfer files to it in a flash from my computer and it hardly takes up any space in my bag. The T7 Shield is the perfect addition to my workflow. Such an incredile SSD drive. I recently used it to backup the photos I took on vacation, because the hotel wi-fi was too slow to upload my photos to my backup cloud service. The transfer speeds are lightning fast, so is accessing my files. This SSD is a must add and great improvement over anything I have used in the past. Looks great and seems protective only issue I find is it doesn't really open on its own after pushing in the button to unlock the case.Maybw that's so if you accidentally push it down it won't open but I would have preferred a more automatic open action.

Fits perfectly and protects my ear buds. Wireless Charging is not an issue. I was even able to decorate the case a bit :) I took one star off because it was a bit snug and it took me a couple of tries to get the buds into the case.

The case has holes on the bottom for the charging port and pairing button. This reduces the cases ability to protect the earbuds. Also, the carabiner is attached by a LARGE ring, so even if you don't want the carabiner attached, there's still a giant prong that sticks out. On the Buds 2 Pro case, the carabiner ring was easily snapped off which made the case more pocket sized, and the case was completely sealed when shut (with a silicon gasket). Overall, this case is a terrible design.

Absolutely love this device. This portable HD is well built. When you take it out of the package you find all the cables that you need to have to use it immediately. I first used it to transfer files from my desktop computer in one office to another office. When I plugged the drive in Windows 10 Pro saw the drive and allowed use with no intervention needed. The transfer of 175GB of software from the desktop to the HD took less than 5 minutes. When I plugged it into the other computer the transfer from the HD to the desktop took about the same amount of time. The next test was transferring photos from the desktop to the HD. 10GB of photos took no time at all. I then switched cables and was able to access those photos from my Galaxy Note 20 with ease. This drive is a robust device in a small package that packs a big punch. #SamsungMemoryInsiders

The Samsung T7 Shield 1 Tbyte solid state drive has an elegant light design, my favorite choice,a sharp blue rubber coating, but also available in two other colors and can easily fit into a pocket making it highly mobile. I connected this both with Mac and Windows operating systems via USB connection and using it for our daily backups. The drive supports direct connect USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds and also works with USB 2. The drive comes with two cables, TypeA/TypeC mostly used on my older equipment and newer laptop typeC/TypeC. It seems to generate limited heat during an extended time of use. I love this drive and a bonus is that from the specification it was tested with a 3 meter drop and have resilience to water and dust contamination contributing to the high mobility of the device.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my SSD T7 in May and was excited to use it. But overall is kind of disappointed with this hard drive. It is just another SSD thats packed in a dust and water resistant case. The rugged build of the SSD is great and I did do a drop test from 5 ft and it still retained the data and performed as a regular hard-drive. Disappointed that after having used the Touch SSD from Samsung going back to the password based encryption and protection of the HDD data is so outdated. The encryption tool is not compatible with MAC OS Monterey. Even after updating the tool, I was not able to connect HDD. For file transfer from phone, one need to reformat at FAT32 using a Windows machine. The utility software that hard-drive comes with does not include tool to do so. Overall a very average product and not worth the price as one can easily find higher capacity external hard-drive at this price.

I will like to make a correction to my previous rating. After roughly 4 months of using this clip case with carrabiner I am even more disappointed. My first review was as follows. "Very disappointed with the case. Really poor quality made. I would expect something of better quality from Samsung (assumed it is made by samsung) no where on the case it says Samsung. I have a Duo samsung charger and it is intermittent as to when it will charge the buds with case on, this is probably related to tbe thickness of the case but if this is made by Samsung they should put their name on it." So now after using this case for roughly 4 months I realized after dropping the case that the lid was broken so I decided to take my case to ensure that the head weren't damaged. By doing that I noticed all those scratches on the case cause by plastic on plastic. VERY Disappointing that a case would do that. I recommend uaing a sillicone case instead.

I was able to download a 4g file in under 5 seconds. For those unfamiliar with doing things like that, that is AMAZING! Used it on location to back up the files from the days shooting. WOW! I went out on a limb and let my grandkids toss it around. Not an issue even after that. Samsung did an amazing job on this product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I picked up one of the new Samsung T7 Shield drives to use when out in the field shooting photos. I love this drive as it gives me the ability to transfer files off my camera through my laptop to it and even to my phone if someone wants me to text them something or a need to post to IG quickly. The amount of speed this thing has is incredible. I was blown away with how fast it was on the USB C. It didn’t quite hit the speeds that they mentioned but was able to transfer much faster than others I have tried I the past. I love that it has the IP65 rating so I don’t have to worry about having issues with it when the weather gets bad nor do I have to worry about it overheating and having issues because of its thermal guard. I was able to get consistent 400-450MB/s when transferring files. This is important because my camera is 62megapixel and has huge file sizes. This thing is fast enough that I can edit off of it without having any issues. If you’re looking for a fast drive that you can actually work off of then this is the one for you!

As the cameras get more advanced on mobile phones the files size for photos and videos just continue to increase. The first thing you notice, and I love about the drive is the size and the protective casing. It is small enough to carry in your pocket without much disruption. The design is modern and sleek and light! Now on to function. The security on the drive is good as it is password protected in case you were to lose the device. Transferring files is a breeze and fast. The size of the drive gives you enough space to really keep your files. Whether that be for backing up data or in my case keeping and archiving videos and pictures. The speed of the drive gives a very easy transfer. Using the device and app across multiple devices is very easy. The portable drive was a bit finicky and required playing around with it on the phone but worked very easy on my windows laptop. I am pleased with the drive and the functionality, and it is serving the purpose I purchased it for. I look forward to continuing used of it and cataloging my memories better.

This wasn't an issue in the past when I was able to just swap out Micro SD cards when changing phones. Now the newest devices don't have expandable storage and that is why I was really excited to check out this new Samsung External SSD. Now I'm able to transfer my high resolution images from my device straight to the drive to backup and clear out space. I'm also able to use the USB-C cable to transfer to my PC if I'm wanting to edit them further. I do like to back them up to my google photos, but storage is no longer free and this is a great alternative IMO. I wanted something to hold onto and put in a safe to know my photos or documents are ok and backed up offline. It wasn't difficult to use and I really love this thing. I plug it into my PC or laptop and it gets instantly recognized. The form factor is spot on and not obstructively bulky. The case doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. The transfer speeds feel extremely fast with USB-C and standard USB cables included in the box. I'm very happy with this hard drive and highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a great portable SSD drive!

The design is perfect able to grip it without with the silicone body. I have no problems connecting to any of my phones or laptop to be able to add more files to clear space on other devices. First Use: I wanted this primarily for my phone as even with my sd card I was running out of space for photos and videos. Since my phone is my life, I transfer everything from movies, pictures and audio in and out (especially with the limited amount of space on a typical mobile phone. While I will not hit max speeds from my phone, this drive was transferring at more than double of any other drive I have previously used. Transferring multiple gigabytes in seconds. It really makes the transfer process easier. In the picture attached you can see that I was able to transfer 28GB in about 1.5 minutes. Another great feature is the rubberized case surrounding the drive. It is really easy to grip - it won't slip put of your hands, but even if it does, it seems to be so well protected on all sides.

Im also a huge fan of the the carabiner, ive got my buds hooked right to my house keys so I always have them. And a second generation galaxy smarttag so I cant lose them. One suggestion I would have is maybe something a little heavier duty for those of us in the trades

Cracked on the keychain portion. Front clip should be metal flakes easily and looks ugly. Bottom is thin plastic should be more durable for this price. There are much more durable brands than Original Part. Getting a higher quality case that I had with the 2s and previous(which I could say the name) and it's the same price. Luckily I got this for free hence the 2 stars

Très bonne protection pour les buds 3 pro,assez esthétique et qualitatif, le seul gros défaut est qu'il n'y a pas de trou prévu pour le bouton pour appairer les buds avec un nouvel équipement Bluetooth, il faut soit enlever le boîtier à chaque fois que l'on désire faire cette manipulation ou alors percer un trou pour permettre l'accès au bouton d'appareillage.

This original case came with my purchase of the Buds 3 Pro. Sad to say, zero drop tolerance. Dropped from coffee table to floor and one of the hinge of the transparent cover broke. The bottom does not have access to Bluetooth button. Poor design and Poor durability. Dont buy if it is not for free. Now i have fork out money to buy compatible ones.

I often find myself wanting files somewhere other than where they are. Yes, I upload to the cloud. Uploading them works but takes time. I connected this to my laptop and copied folders almost instantly. Copying those folders to my iPad was also almost instant. This saves me so much time. This is so perfect for backups. It connects to so many devices. I am clumsy at times and won’t have to worry about this slipping out of my hand. With dust and water resistance, 9.8 ft drop resistance; I think I won’t be able to damage it without trying.

Comes with a USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables. The device has one USB-C port, and a status light. The Blue is a nice deep color. In the pictures attach are speed from connecting to a USB3-C Gen2, USB3-C Gen 1, USB3-A, and USB 2 ports. On a USB3 Gen 2, 2.4GB took ~5 seconds, about 600MB per second. USB3 Gen 1 took ~10 seconds for the same file. Tried it with multiple files and it never got hot. Samsung Magician recognized the device and provided the speeds with various connections. It also comes with Samsung Portable SSD Software which allows you to password protect the drive. No password, no access, so your protected on the go with AES 256-bit hardware encryption. Small, fast, and reliable. 1TB is a good size for carrying a lot of files, or music, whatever you need. Samsung SSD's have are usually reliable and with no moving parts, I'd expect this to last a while, even with drops and getting water on it as it's IP65 rated.

My clip case broke within two says of me using it. It is difficult to remove the earbuds from the clip case. I ended up breaking the top on the clip case to remove the entire charge case / ear buds. I was very disappointed.

Non seulement vous m'avez reporté ma livraison prévue avant mes vacances, mais vous avez tenté de me livrer sans me demandez au même endroit et je n'ai même pas eu droit de choisir la date et l'emplacement. Etant en vacance a l'étranger, je ne pouvez changez ma date de livraison etant donner que c'était un point relais. Je vous ai contacté et a part me dire que ce n'est pas possible, que la commande ira à l'entrepot et la commande sera annulée. Idem pour mes écouteurs buds pro 3. J'ai perdu ma promo de 100 euro dans cette histoire car une fois utilisé on ne peut plus la réactivité. Bref en gros je super dessus par votre prestation.

The fact that the pairing button is covered up for a case that is so hard to take off once put on is ridiculous. Once I realized this I couldn't stop shaking my head and was thinking how this even passed as an official samsung product for their earbuds... I suppose they've already realized this and this is why they're giving it away for free with these purchases. I'm faithful samsung customer and I always am leaning on buying the brand over others but it's moments like this that make stop and think sometimes. In short; this case is very counterintuitive.

I like that it will protect the buds and if you drop the case it wont open and the buds wont come out but that's where the good ends. The plastic feels like it'll snap or crack after the first solid impact. It was impossible to put on so much so that it scratched up the top part which is supposed to be clear and show off the buds. Its even more impossible to remove to the point that it feels like you'll break the buds case if you even attempt to remove it. It also messes with the wireless charging, I had to set it just right to charge and when I went to remove it later it was super hot and still charging. Overall clearly poor execution on this product.

Read and write speeds of up to 1050/1000 MB/s let me save and transfer files often in just a few moments. The rubber exterior which contains a thermal guard, keeps it super cool as well. I have no worries of the SSD overheating. The exterior was made for durability, so I can take this SSD anywhere, like off-roading and hiking. I have been able to connect the SSD to multiple devices as it is compatible with so many types of devices.

I moved some large files including hundreds of pictures in just seconds! In the end that is what the T7 does. It makes large amounts of data available fast. I love the multiple USB connection options. Fast is always good. I like that it is smaller than the memory device I was using, and the blue looks great. No lags, just fast access!!!

That's when I came across the Samsung T7 Shield SSD. It has been a life saver and it's very quick at transferring data, especially for my needs. It's water and dust resistant, with an IP65 rating. The outer rubber shell also protects against drops. This gives me some added comfort, knowing I will be outside in the elements. I'm beyond pleased with this purchase.

My only issue was that the Android app failed to recognize the device, so I cannot comment on any functionality there. In both windows and android, the device showed up and was available as expected via explorer and my files. I tested with Windows 11 laptop and Samsung Z-Flip3 5g phone. I received this device at a discount for an honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Samsung T7 shield 1 TB SSD for storing my wedding photos and some of the photos and videos from my trekking in the Himalayas of Nepal. So the one I got hasn’t had any connectivity issues or any heating issues. I have not dropped it once so I don’t really know and can’t speak on the resistance, but I would hope that it stays intact. The red and white speed is as labeled. It is quite fast and it is more than enough for my case.

Like how it comes with usb C to C and USB c to a connection wires to make things easier depending on what you have. Once you put it on, you can't get it back off. AND you can't get to the pairing button. I want to pair the buds3 with my laptop, and also my tablet, but now I can't. Seriously?! And I can't get the case back off because the lid has a little spot of adhesive in addition to being a tight fit. The pairing button is beside the charger port, as you can see by the picture, it is completely covered up.

As others here have said, wireless charging does not work. There are users that report it working with some other wireless charging accessories, but in my case, this does not work with the official Wireless Charger Trio. This case also removes access to the pairing button. Since there are some that have been having a hard time removing this case, I have attached a video showing how to do so.

I got this portable ssd a little more than 3 months ago, because I had lost some pictures that held a lot of sentimental value to me and I didn't want that to happen again.
