Galaxy Watch - Take a Screenshot (SM-R800 & SM-R810)

You just received an important message on your watch and you want to save it, just in case. But your phone isn't nearby. No worries, you can take screenshots on your watch, and they will be saved in Gallery. And you can transfer screenshots from your watch to your phone later!

Available screens and settings may vary by provider, phone, or watch.

You can capture a screenshot by simultaneously pressing the Home key and swiping from the left side of the screen to the right side.

Certain apps and features do not allow screenshots.

Send Screenshots to Your PhoneClick to Expand

Yay! You successfully took a screenshot. But how do you send it to your phone? From the watch's Home screen, press the Home key, and then touch Gallery. Touch and hold the desired screenshot. To include additional screenshots in the transfer, rotate the bezel and touch the screenshots you want to include. When you are done, touch More Options, and then touch Send to phone. The screenshot will be be transferred to your mobile device and saved to the Watch or Gear folder in Gallery.

To select all screenshots, touch the number and then touch "Select all". To deselect all screenshots, touch the number and then touch "Deselect all".

Once you've transferred your screenshots, you can view them on your phone anytime. Now that important message is set in stone. On your watch's Home screen, press the Home key, touch Gallery, and then touch the desired screenshot.

On your phone, navigate to Gallery, touch the Watch or Gear album, and then touch the desired screenshot to view it.

To view a watch screenshot on your phone, the screenshot must be sent to the phone first.

Taking screenshots on your watch is so convenient, that you've taken a little too many. If you need to delete some, just follow the steps below. From your watch's Home screen, press the Home key and then touch Gallery. Touch and hold the desired screenshot. To include additional screenshots in the transfer, rotate the bezel and touch the screenshots you want to include. When you are done, touch DELETE, and then touch Done to confirm.
