[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So the problem lies with the wireless module. I havevthe soundbar M650, the matching subwoofer, and these rear speakers and Samsung has utterly failed. For whatever reason the subwoofer fails to respond , it is paired successfully. The rear speakers are also paired via wireless module, but the sound quality is choppy. The sound is unreliable, and I might come out better if i switch manufactuers. I want Samsung to be the best, but with tech like the consumer tech I own from Samsung, its just not realistic.... Samsung dropped the ball once again.

Had to restart everything to get rear speakers to work. Samsung tv and sound bar/bass/rear speakers. Once this was figured out all was fine. They are rear speakers, as such, if dialogue is from front then that is where the sound comes from. They do add atmosphere and rear sound effect if that is the film's 5.1 sound system. You do not get 5.1surround sound from non 5.1 source. Better systems are available but for what cost? JBL 9.1 in living room sounds better but would not be at lower volume in bedroom at night.

i bought these specifically to turn my listening experience from 5.1.2 on my q80r to a 7.1.2. when i am watching a 5.1 movie, the play just fine. but when i am watching a dolby atmos movie, they do not play at all.

here's my setup: 65" q80a tv hw-q70t soundbar swa-9000s rear speakers setup was very easy but i had to review the tv & sound bar's instruction manuals to find how to increase the rear speaker volume. while instructions do mention connecting the wireless dongle to the soundbar, i too noticed that the hw-q70t does not have a usb-c port. so i was initially unsure how to connect it. in addition, the soundbar instructions indicate that this usb port is for upgrades; never did it mention it for use for the rear surround speakers. a quick search on the internet noted that for the hw-q70t soundbar, you do not need to use the wireless dongle that came with the rear surround speakers. so for those users that gave these a 1-star rating, saying they're incompatible, that's wrong.

I've had this since December 2019. I just plugged it in to use it in my new house and heard a loud crack and saw a flash of light inside the unit. I've never seen a piece of audio equipment do this ever before.

i did hesitate to buy it initially.. but decided to give it a try, as it was very attractive in terms of price and it was worth it. i paired it with my hw-800t soundbar and it was seamless, followed the instructuon ans in few steps it was connected wirelessly (took 2 min iverall). connection is pretty stable with one remote from tv all switches on and off. no issues so far. its not too loud as people complaint, but it serves its purpose of rear surround effects. both soundbar, woofer and rear speakers work smooth.

purchased the combination hw-q70t/za and the swa-9000s/za. they're supposed to work together. the 9000 comes with a wireless dongle that has a usb-c connector. there's no usb-c port on the q70t.

these aren't primary speakers, they're rears, for ambient sounds and not always on (eg during regular dialogue). i set mine to 6 via my soundbar, and my wife freaked out when some gunshots rang out in a scene. they get plenty loud depending on the context. had to turn them down to 2 or 3. i also extended one of the speaker's wires by 20ft via 16 gauge wire, which turned out to be too thick, but seems to work well. a few things i would change/fix: - the keyhole for mounting to stands is smaller than standard speaker screws. research showed that you can use an m4 bolt or 8x32 screw. - longer speaker wire option (even aftermarket purchase) - a more standard connection of the wire to the speaker rather than the proprietary plug.

For me the build is good quality, sound is great to produce surround sound. Easy to connect, just its not fully wireless as mentioned..just the module is wireless but speaker is not. But is ok, because there no loss connection. The rear speaker volume can be adjust by the soundbar, and for my recommendation just put +3 or +4 for volume, because +5 or +6 maybe to overpower the sound from the bar. And for your info it is suitable with my HW-Q70R soundbar hence as describe its just for Q80R, Q70T and etc. So now my soundbar get 5.1.2channel.

good sound for the price. i have some issues the first time to pair with my soundbar q80r but affter of pair everything works good you notice the different if you use only the soundbar the sound effects is 70% but after you add the swa-900s sounds effects go to 100%

the sound is nice... when they work. i made the mistake of getting the samsung hw-ms650, which has its own share of issues the i got these speakers... they connect... sometimes. they disconnect often. the are very difficult to get reconnected. and, they pick up random feedback that is very loud and obnoxious. i get tired of spending time being walked theough teoubleshooting to try to remedy them. i literally decided spending money on an all new bose system was worth it allievate the headache these are

i have had these rear speakers for a little over 2yrs. they are not loud but do enhance the surround sound. to be honest i am disappointed in this product because they continuously lose signal. i had to reposition the tower in multiple locations throughout my living room. to this day in a 15×20 room it still won't stay entirely connected during a movie.

Equipment used: 82" Q7, HW-MS750 soundbar, SWA-700 subwoofer, SWA-9000S rear speakers.The dongle that came with these speakers do not connect my SWA-W700 subwoofer. I removed the dongle that came with these speakers and connected the dongle that came with the subwoofer and it does not connect the surround speakers, please help!

astrojoe: You will need to link both the SWA-700 subwoofer and SWA-9000S rear speakers at the same time. It will not work properly if you are linking them one at a time. 1. Turn off the Soundbar 2. Press and hold the ID SET button on the back of the wireless module for the surround speakers until the indicator blinks blue. 3. Press and hold the ID SET button on the bottom of the SWA-700 subwoofer until the indicator on the front blinks blue 4. Press and hold the Volume button in the center position (volume MUTE) for 6 seconds until you see “ID SET” appear on the display. 5. I bought this today. Took me about 20 minutes to set it up and pair it with N-850 ( You don't need the dongle to pair it with N-850). It is not very loud but that is the purpose of surround speakers, it is to add atmosphere not to distract you. Very happy customer

have to say I am very disapointed with this. The soundbar itself os excellent but the rear speaker kit is not on the same level anddoesnt really enhance the soundbar's sound in anyway at all. ive turned the volume for the rears up to the max 5 but the sound is barley audible. the reciever unit needsto have amplication built in to help drive the rear speakers but doesn't so having these rear speakers makes no difference at all.

Dessa skall enligt Samsungs sida och Samsungs support inte vara kompatibla med Soundbar HW-N660. Till den skall istället swa-8500s fungera. -,Problemet är att 8500 inte längre säljs. SWA-9000s fungerar dock utmärkt ihop med N660! Sammankopplade direkt och låter hur bra som helst, volym går att ställa separat på bakhögtalarna via soundbaren och allt låter mycket bra ihop! Mycket nöjd med högtalarna, och mycket missnöjd med Samsungs information och support som inte verkar ha en susning om tekniken de säljer.

I recently upgraded my sound bar to a Samsung HW-N650 which is excellent in itself but found out about these speakers and decided surround sound would be even better. Set up was simple. No need for the included Bluetooth dongle, these pair direct with my sound bar. Positioning the receiver box was easy (for me), just out it to the side of my sofa by the wireless subwoofer behind the sofa. The long wires for the speakers are out of sight behind the speakers, which sit on a shelf behind the sofa. Sound wise, there's very good. Once I had adjusted the volume of the rear speakers I had a perfect balance of surround sound. I watched Tomb Regards on Netflix and the sound was incredible. Immersive sounds that you just don't hear from normal speakers. You really feel like you're in the action. Overall, I'm really impressed with these.

Sound bar is very nice, great sound and good looking. Bought the rear speakers in the US and it looks like they are 110v. Is it possible they are dual voltage but have not been labeled as such or have I made a stupid mistake?

I have just brought these and its taken me less than an hour to fix all together and combine with my soundbar. Thanks to you tube videos lol People say they are very soft in volume when reading reviews. However the man from You tube shows you how to turn up the volume on your rear speakers. It is possible and l can't wait to watch a good movie . Be prepared for them to be tiny but they sound great and not so huge as to get in the way.

I’m using these speakers in a medium sized open space and these speakers were the perfect addition to get that physical surround needed for my gaming sessions and for an all out movie experience. The soundbar alone does an outstanding job of giving a wide sound and providing a near surround level of ambiance but I wasn’t able to precisely detect when rear effects were occurring. The surround speakers completely solved this issue. Surprisingly they can get pretty loud, especially in surround mode. However, smart mode tends to balance out the speakers by giving more life to the soundbar OR choosing surround mode but lowering the back speaker levels just a bit, gives it a beautiful balance during game and move sessions. With music, I keep the level at 0 so it’s truly a surround engulfing music experience! Although they are full range speakers, they do a great job matching the clarity of the soundbar, providing crisp and wide details in the audio sources. It would’ve been fantastic if the same deep bass distortion cancelling technology and wide tweeter dispersment was in the rear speakers but nonetheless, I’m still completely satisfied!

This product when hooked up to a soundbar does not have enough features to control the volume. Bass doesn't have any you can only go up to a volume level of 6 which isn't high enough if you are not sitting directly next to them. If you could control the volume better they wouldn't be bad speakers. I have had some issues with them making popping noise and they were a little difficult to connect to the soundbar.

Dutch77: Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-9000S Wireless Speaker Kit. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system. Please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume. However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference: 1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. 2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. 3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. 4. Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control.
