The sound quality is a major improvement over the down-firing speakers in the TV. There is plenty of Bass range. I hear sounds that I never heard before such as the 'whooshing' sound during screen transitions. Since my TV is also a Samsung, the compatibility is perfect. Control of basic soundbar functions (on/off, volume adjust) is managed through the TV and my Comcast Xfinity remote controls. The included wall mounting hardware was perfect for my needs and was easy to install thanks to the mounting hole alignment template provided (be careful not to throw it away as it is tightly rolled into a capsule sized roll of paper). Highly recommended.

https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/home-theater/sound-bars/hw-n400--tv-mate--soundbar-hw-n400-za/ this link is very misleading because there are no subwoofers compatible with the product hw-n400. even after purchasing the rear speaker system swa-8600 the sound still needed more bass, but samsung customer service confirmed there is no subwoofer that will connect to either the soundbar or rear speaker system. sound is ok, but i am disappointed it cannot be enhanced by adding a subwoofer. i am very surprised samsung would produce and sell a sound system with no subwoofer capability for customers who desire the added bass tones.

I got a Samsung smart tv for Christmas a couple years ago and bought this soundbar to go with it. At first I had it connected to the tv with the HDMI cord and a friend with some AV experience suggested I find the optical cord that came with it instead. OMG. What a huge difference! The sound is so much clearer (not that it was bad before) and it's like nothing I've ever owned before. I use the soundbar for tv sound and I also use it to bluetooth my music when I'm in the house cleaning or just in a mood for some good loud tunes. I'm very happy two years later with my purchase and I've not had one problem or complaint about this product. Great job Samsung!

Took 2 years to finally buy a soundbar. Glad I bought this one. Sound is superb considering its size. Bass blows the tinny tv speakers away. Though it's not separate subwoofer bass, which suits me as I live in flats. The mid range is gorgeous very natural and treble good, though needs to be at least +2. Bass- treble adjust to +/-6 which is great. Lots of connections and what I truely like is the decent display. So you know exactly what volume level etc. Very good. Only slight criticism is it's just slightly out of sync with my sony tv. Using optical, it could correct fully using HDMI? Though have not tried this. But the sound is so good it doesn't phase me much.. Brilliant piece of kit.

easy installation, and worked good for the first 6 months, then started losing connection when wired with the optical cable. had to pair it with the samsung tv several times.. did this for a couple of months, so decided to try the hdmi connection which worked great for about 10 days, then sound stopped working and i was getting a "not available" when trying to run setup on the tv.. after multiple times of trying to get it to work again, just decided to trash it and get another brand.. there was a code upgrade that was suppose to fix the intermittent dropping off of the sound bar, but the usb port seemed to be defective as i couldn't get the usb cable plugged in to it.. so not too impressed with this..

Ik heb de samsung soundbar enkele weken mogen testen via de insiders en ben helemaal verkocht! Niet alleen is de prijs een meevaller, het is gewoon een prachtige ervaring om het cinema geluid te mogen ervaren bij ons thuis.De bas tonen zijn subliem en het design is ook super.Past perfect bij onze Samsung tv. De installatie is supermakkelijk en met 1 knop zet je de tv en de soundbar tegelijk aan,geen geknoei meer met verschillende bakjes.Kortom zoek je een soundbar die prijs kwaliteit goed is dan moet je voor deze gaan,ben er echt heel blij mee!

Cette barre son est idéale pour moi. Son format est nickel pour mon salon, la barre est juste comme il faut : pas trop longue et assez large. Elle est presque invisible dans mon salon. De plus elle est légère...oui parfois je la change de pièce pour écouter de la musique. Facile à manipuler et à régler, avec ou sans télécommande, elle est simple d utilisation. Le son est bon que ce soit sur la télé ou avec un smartphone. Franchement agréablement surprise.

Als je opzoek bent naar een soundbar/stereo en je wilt je niet blauw betalen is deze soundbar HW-N400 wel aan te raden. Als je echter op zoek bent naar een superdeluxe soundbar en kwaliteit dan moet je budget een stuk hoger liggen. Waarom is de HW-N400 wel een goeie soundbar is in z'n categorie. Qua looks is zeker wel stijlvol. Hij speelt vlot zonder vertraging het geluid af van de tv. Met Bluetooth kun je ook gemakkelijk door spoelen naar het volgend nummer met Spotify met de afstandsbediening. Op gebied van geluidskwaliteit is dit zeker best wel ok, maar met hoge tonen heeft hij toch soms wat problemen. Ook opletten als je maximumgeluid aanstaat van TV/IPAD/Smartphone kan hij ook wat problemen geven. Het is kwestie van gemiddeld niveau te kiezen en de muziek wat extra te boosten met de soundbar. Hij doet wat hij moet doet.

J'ai acheté cette barre de son suite à l'achat d'une nouvelle TV, le son est généralement très bon quand je visionne la télé ou que je joue aux jeux vidéo, cependant je constate de gros soucis lors de certains films en Blu-Ray (voix trop faibles et son général trop fort) utilisant le format audio DTS-HD, par contre nickel pour le Dolby Digital et l'option DRC. Conclusion : barre de bonne qualité mais à revoir si l'on visionne beaucoup de Blu-Ray.

The sound quality is excellent but I'm stuck to 2 remotes my Sony TV and Samsung sound bar. 1. It is not Google Home compatible - i.e. it cant get on the home wifi network. 2. I cant control it with my iphone - it requires android device for blutooth control 3. I connected with with Optical cable and there is a sound sync issue that does not go away even after I used the sync settings

this thing has been bad since day one i kept hoping that i could find a way to hear the upper tones but it's so bassy and i can't find a way to hear dialogue better. bass has toggle adjustment and i can't figure out how to adjust the treble at all even though you can pull it up in a menu, i don't know which button makes it go up and down i haven't found anything that works yet.

I was expecting a unit that would have more Bass than my 6400 Samsung TV. Once I opened the carton and read the instruction set-up manual that talked about having to purchase a Bass unit to have true Bass, I knew it wasn't the unit as described. I will be returning the unit because it lacks Bass and there isn't any mention of Bass speakers. I'm very unhappy with this product.

Have a 2017 Samsung TV using optical out to the sound bar. Every third of forth time the TV plus Cable box is started up the TV MATE "loses connection" with the TV. Only TV speakers fire even though the TV MATE display says DIN which shows that the input source is correct. Very frustrated as the whole idea was to have like brands to create a seamless integration. Not happy.

Het geluid is echt vol, warm en heel zuiver. Aansluiting gaat ook super makkelijk met kabel of via bluetooth. Het is mooi en strak van design , niet te groot, zodat het geen echt over aanwezig ding wordt in uw interieur ! De bluetooth functie is zalig om je playlist van je smartphone mee af te spelen, de kindjes dansen dagelijks door de woonkamer, geen stereo meer nodig !

So I have my tvio going HDMI in to the sound bar and then HDMI out to my TV. when I hit power on the TV it turns the sound bar on and I can cahnge sound with my tivo remote but i need the input to be HDMI and it sets it to TV ARC and not HDMI so I still have to use the sound bar remote everytime. why doesnt it turn back on to the last input when I use my tvo remote.

nouvelle télé, netflix ... depuis que nous avons le soundbar l'expérience télé est exceptionnelle et plus besoin d'aller au ciné. L'installation a été hyper facile et on profite pleinement d'un son de qualité. La cerise sur le gâteau c'est que je peux connecter mon iPhone et écouter de la musique dans le salon ou carrément sur la terrasse!

Truly disappointed with my new purchased SWA 8500s wireless speaker kit. Connected to my HW-N400 soundbar, connecting to my 65inch 4k curved tv. The rear speakers have almost NO sound. I have adjusted the rear speaker level to 6. And you can barely tell it's even on. If there are no fixes for this I will be looking for my money back

We hebben de Samsung Soundbar HW-N400 enkele weken in ons bezit. - Installatie: in een handomdraai, eenvoudig te verbinden met mobiele apparaten en televisie. - werking: ideaal te combineren met spotify, erg vlot te verbinden via bluetooth. - duidelijke weergave van verbindingstype op het schermpje. - design: strak, modern en mooi. Past in elk interieur en valt niet op voor onze zwarte tv. - geluidskwaliteit: goed, duidelijke verbetering tov onze standaard tv. Het geeft een diep, helder geluid, details komen duidelijk naar voor en muziek klink opvallend beter. - afstandsbediening: klein, maar ergonomisch design. Neemt enkel de bediening van het geluid over, je kan er niet mee zappen, waardoor je je gewone afstandsbediening ook steeds bij de hand moet hebben. - Prijs: goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding, maar het is een luxeproduct. - Jammer dat er geen HDMI-kabel is bijgeleverd. We houden hem! Echt wel een meerwaarde als je regelmatig series/films kijkt.

Après 3 jours de test voici mon avis: la barre est livrée avec son câble d’alimentation et un câble optique, un câble HDMI aurait été un plus (mais pas indispensable) Elle a une forme simple mais élégante en aluminium brossé. Une taille compacte. Par contre il a quelques millimètres en trop en hauteur pour passer entre pied et le bas de la tv Information importante pour ma part, il a fallu éteindre et allumé la TV une fois la barre de son connectée en HDMI pour que celle-ci fonctionne correctement. Niveau Sonore : En mode TV : Quand je passe du son TV au son barre, ce dernier est bien plus faible, je dois donc augmenter le son. On entend bien une différence de type de son mais rien d’exceptionnel, le son est assez correct En mode jeu, le son prend une autre dimension et rends et rends celui-ci immersif, pareil avec un DVD ou même netflix. Je pense les les enceintes arrières sont indispensables pour avoir un son de très bonne facture mais pour ceux qui ne veulent pas ou ne peuvent pas avoir de home Cinéma, c’est une arme ultime.

Very happy with our purchase. We were looking for something simple that looked good and went along with our Samsung 43 inch TV. Mounting to the wall was easy enough. I used wall anchors because the studs were not in the correct location.

I call this a great sound bar for senior citizens. It enhances dialogue on all programs. Some actors are prone to mumble and the TV Mate sound bar solves that. It seamlessly hooks up to our Samsung TV and is easy to install.

Je trouve la qualité de son inférieure à celle de mon téléviseur Samsung. Possibilités de réglage très limitées. Pas convaincu du tout. Démarrage automatique à l'allumage téléviseur ne fonctionne qu'une fois sur deux.

Ik kan het bijna niet geloven hoe lang wij hebben zitten aanmodderen met ons vorige geluidssysteem. We hadden al veel langer moeten overschakelen op de Samsung Soundbar. Onze woonkamer is niet echt groot. Onze televisie staat dan ook op een 3-tal meter van onze sofa. Een uitgebreid surround sound systeem is voor ons overbodig. We zitten te daveren in onze zetel. Maar het geluid van enkel de televisie is dan toch ook niet precies wat we zoeken. De Samsung HW-N400 bleek voor ons de perfecte match. Hij past in ons interieur. Vloekt niet met het behang. En het geluid is gewoon subliem. Hij kan stil als de kleine in zijn bedje licht. Hij kan luid wanneer we een stevige actiefilm willen zien. En is compatibel met elk toestel dat wij willen aansluiten. Op dit moment zijn onze digicorder, spelconsole en streaming device aangesloten op de televisie. De televisie is met de optical kabel aangesloten op de soundbar. En sinds we het toestel hebben aangesloten hebben we er niet meer naar om moeten kijken. De soundbar schakelt automatisch in wanneer we de televisie aanzetten. Dus de uitgebreide handleiding voor onze babysit behoort nu ook voorgoed tot het verleden. Nee, ik geef mijn soundbar niet meer af. En die andere geluidssystemen mogen ze houden. Ik ben verkocht!

La restitution du son est un élément majeur de la musique et des films. Un ensemble home cinéma est vite onéreux et encombrant. Avec mes contraintes de taille d’étagère, il me fallait donc une barre son compacte. Je l’ai trouvée avec la HW-N400. Mais ce n’est pas tout, au-delà des ses dimensions et de son design qui en font un élément discret et distingué (voire même décoratif), le son est superbement restitué avec une puissance étonnante. Elle dispose de 13 niveaux de basses et de treble, d’un réglage standard et d’un surround très efficace. La qualité est au rendez-vous sur tous types de musiques, que l’on soit amateur de classique ou métalleux. Idem pour accompagner vos films préférés (je l’utilise en complément de mon projecteur et ça rend vraiment bien). Ce qui me séduit le plus, c’est sa connectivité. Je suis multi-sources et pouvoir connecter tous mes instruments via le bluetooth, l’HDMI, la fibre optique, l’USB ou la prise jack, c’est top et simplissime ! Je peux même ressortir mon vieux walkman :o) Les petits plus : la télécommande petite et simple, les commandes sur le côté de la barre, l’écran, le câble optique fourni, les équerres de fixation murale. Les petits moins : pas de câble HDMI fourni, manque de réglages sur le son, mais franchement, ça ne manque pas tant que ça. Je Conseille !!

We hebben deze een maand getest, en tijdje getwijfeld: soundbar houden of niet? Uiteindelijk niet. Hierbij de pro's en contra's. Pluspunten: - mooi design - compact - installatie relatief eenvoudig --> Enkel niet meteen duidelijk of we moesten verbinden via optische kabel, HDMI-kabel of draadloos(bluetooth) dus handleiding beginnen lezen. De optische kabel deed het prima! Plug&Play zou ik dus zeggen :-) - verbinden met Bluetooth vlot gelukt, deed het goed. Helder, mooi geluid. - makkelijke overgang tussen tv, gameconsole, bluetooth Minpunten: - geluid klonk voor vooral 'luider' en wat beter verspreid in de woonkamer, maar niet echt heel veel beter of dieper - soundbar was net te hoog om onder onze tv te passen. Hij moest er dus achter (maar dan was geluidseffect wat afgeblokt) of voor de tv. Dat brak een beetje het tv-beeld en de strakke Samsung vormgeving. - soundbar was niet curved, maar onze SamsungTV is wel curved. Het stond er wat stuntelig alsof het niet bij de SamsungTV paste. - geluidseffect te beperkt. was weliswaar beter dan standaard tv geluid, maar veel verschil merkten we tijdens films, series, sport, gamen toch niet. Als we de soundbar afzette, hoorden we pas het verschil. De bas was voor mij niet overtuigend genoeg. Aangezien we nog steeds een soundbar zochten, is ons oog daarna op een model gevallen dat toevallig in promo was: Samsung HW-M4500 - Curved soundbar met draadloze subwoofer. En we moeten toegeven dat het geluidsverschil hier wel echt merkbaar is, waarschijnlijk door die individuele subwoofer.

Ma famille et moi avons été séduits par la qualité sonore de la barre de son HW-N400. Ce fût une agréable surprise dès les premières secondes de lecture audio. En effet, pour ma part, la connexion avec mon smartphone via Bluetooth est ce que j’utilise le plus. C’est rapide, et cela a fonctionné tant avec mon téléphone qu’avec mon ordinateur. Cela n’a pas été le cas pour le téléphone d’un membre de famille, un peu déçu, mais au plus grand plaisir de mes oreilles ! ;-) Niveau contenant, packaging, contenu : La boîte est classe, la barre très bien protégée, les notices claires, les accessoires parfaitement disposés et emballés (télécommande avec 2 piles fournies, prise secteur pour la barre, petites fixations murales, câble optique). Déçue de ne pas y avoir trouvé de câble HDMI (notre TV principale ne propose pas le bluetooth et ni de connexion via câble optique). C’est le petit hic. Côté design, la barre de son est très élégante de par sa forme et sa couleur. Elle est légère, on peut la placer partout. Cela ajoute une touche de sobriété. Enfin, le test une autre TV. La connexion s’est faite via câble optique. La configuration s’est faite rapidement après être entrée dans les réglages. Le son est juste nickel. On a qu’une seule envie, c’est d’augmenter le son au maximum (au détriment des voisins !) Lors des émissions TV, on se croit sur le plateau, et lors de films ou séries, on s’imagine au cinéma. Je suis vraiment satisfaite de ce produit mais je pense que pour une expérience optimale, il faut vraiment la TV bluetooth qui va avec. Tout irait plus rapidement. Mais cela ne m’a pas empêché d’en profiter. Je recommande vivement!

Een soundbar die doet wat ze moet doen: mooi, hoog kwalitatief geluid produceren waardoor je een beetje het cinema-effect bij je thuis kan nabootsen. De soundbar zelf is niet te groot, zwaar genoeg waardoor ze ook stevig blijft liggen met kinderhandjes in de buurt en mooi vormgegeven. Enig minpuntje is dat je, wanneer je een kabel of USB wil aansluiten, je de bar wel even uit de opstelling moet halen, want de aansluitingen zijn onderaan weggewerkt (uiteraard oogt het geheel hierdoor visueel erg mooi). De soundbar is bij mij aangesloten via de optische kabel (meegeleverd) aan een Samsung TV. Groot voordeel is dat je hierbij alles met 1 afstandsbediening kan regelen (volume, geluidsinstellingen, ...). Verder schakelt de soundbar samen met de TV in met 1 druk op de knop, uitschakelen moet je helaas wel nog apart doen. Voor de rest werkt het zeer intuïtief; de nodige knoppen zitten zowel op de bar als de afstandsbediening, en spreken voor zich. De bron van het geluid (TV, USB, Bluetooth, ...) is zichtbaar op een centraal schermpje, dat dooft nadat je dit ingesteld hebt (wat weer het design ten goede komt). Ook een belangrijk voordeel, is de aanwezigheid van Bluetooth. Ik gebruikt het niet om te koppelen met de TV, maar wel voor het streamen van muziek via mijn smartphone. Heel gemakkelijk, bluetooth op beide toestellen inschakelen, op de afstandsbediening op 'pair' duwen, en je muziek knalt door de boxen. Op het geluid zelf heb ik niets op aan te merken. De bar creëert zeker een surround-effect, als het de eerste keer is dat je een bar in huis haalt merk je een enorm verschil. Hoge tonen klinken niet schel, en de bas is zeker niet te overheersend, waardoor het geluid perfectie evenaart. Kortom, zeker een aanrader wil je een (eerste) soundbar aanschaffen!
