Compré este horno hace dos semanas y la verdad es que no deja de sorprenderme. El motivo principal que me hizo decantarme por este modelo es su puerta flexible y sus dos compartimentos independientes. Que quiero una pizza?, pues sólo utilizó la parte de arriba (ahorrando tiempo y energía), un pescado y postre? se pueden hacer a la vez sin problema utilizando diferentes configuraciones. Sorprende también que puedas manejarlo con el móvil, viendo en todo momento la temperatura exacta, ahí es donde te das cuenta de la velocidad a la que baja cada vez que lo abres :) Se nota también que es un horno de gama alta en la calidad de los mandos, nada de plástico ni holgura, funcionan a la perfección.

No he hecho compra peor en mi vida. Nunca más Samsung. Estando aún en garantía ya nos los tuvieron que cambiar porque se encendía solo (incluso cuando no estábamos en casa), el ventilador empezó a hacer un ruido terrible -parecía un avión de turbina en la cocina- y el esmalte del “piso” se descascaraba. Nos dieron otro igual, pero la garantía no volvió a iniciarse. Pensamos que había sido un fallo y el nuevo no tendría problemas. Pero no. Otra vez todo lo mismo (todo: encendido, ruido, descascarado), y ahora añadimos además que durante la cocción la temperatura baja sola a 190º. Ya he arruinado varios platos. Directo a la basura. No tiene sentido intentar arreglarlo, porque siendo el segundo ya se que no es un problema aislado. Una porquería de producto. No volveré a comprar nada de esta marca.

El horno me encanta¡¡ empezando porque si quiero lo puedo controlar con el movil, pero no es necesario, depende de cada uno. Ahorro un monton de electricidad, el 98% de lo que cocino no hace falta usar el horno entero, con la parte de arriba en basta. Además he probado cocinar en las 2 partes del horno a la vez con productos diferentes, arriba una lubina al horno y abajo unas magdalenas con tiempos diferentes y temperaturas diferentes, no se mezclaron olores y fue todo genial.

Compré este horno en diciembre 2020 , en diciembre 2021 dejó de calentar la parte de abajo. Ahora ha vuelto a estropearse. Hay dos años de garantía, he perdido la factura de compra y me dicen que sin la factura no entra la garantía cuando Samsung tiene todos mis datos y fecha de compra porque la primera vez que se estropeó si les pude facilitar la factura al servicio técnico. No es normal que un horno tan caro se estropee dos veces en 1 año y medio y que teniendo mis datos me digan que sin la factura no se hacen cargo. Muy decepcionada.

Tengo este horno desde la semana pasada y no puedo estar más contenta. Tiene dos puertas, osea dos compartimentos donde puedes poner productos diferentes, a distintas temperaturas...un lujo para cocinar de una vez distintos platos! Y lo mejor de todo es que ni se mezclan olores ni nada. En conclusión muy contenta con este electrodoméstico de Samsung

I have had this oven a few months now and still getting used to it. The top panel with the temperature, timer, light bulb, child lock, OK and return button does not illuminate requiring a torch to see them. I have also noted that using the top oven alone (for chips, I'm afraid) the middle section are undercooked, requiring a boost from the grill. I suspect that when the top oven is on only the outer ring at the top heats up. (fault?) Otherwise showing it off to my friends. My wife also thought that one shelf supplied with the oven was inadequate considering the price Samsung charges for 'extras'. B. Hardie

Calienta parejo, la limpieza a vapor de la que casi nadie habla es magnífica, el accesorio para asar pollo es una pasada, pero cuando intentas hacerlo funcionar con alexa al intentar elegir la temperatura no hace caso, y el fallo más grande que le encuentro es que no te indica en el horno cuando está calentando a que temperatura está, no entiendo como un horno de está gama no lo tiene cuando a nivel hardware le sobran los medios para efectuarlo. Espero que con alguna actualización esto mejore

Globalement satisfaite, la version connectée est vraiment un plus si on utilise les modes automatiques, car pas besoin de chercher dans le livret, c'est intiuitif avec l'application smartthings les seuls bemol que je note pour l'instant après 1 mois d'utilisation sont - l'impossibilité d'utiliser les 2 cavités en simultanée en cuisson classique (sans chaleur tournante) - le préchauffage : c'est un peu nébuleux, je ne sais pas comment l'inclure dans une cuisson avec un départ différé. I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. This is a really well designed oven that has clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Everything we have cooked with it so far has turned out really well, and a lot of the special features are actually useful, and make a difference to daily cooking. The most obvious feature is the dual cooking capability - slot in the divider and you can now cook at two different temperatures in one single oven - great for anyone with a normal sized kitchen, that doesn't have space for a range cooker! There are so many times when cooking meals in the oven that you need two different temperatures, and normally have to make compromises, usually resulting in underdone or overcooked food. This solves this problem, and works really well. You can even set separate timers on each half of the oven. Another major feature of this oven is the smart capabilities. The most useful of which I'd say is the notifications. Often in the past I would turn the oven on to start preheating and walk off to do something else, and forget about it for 20 minutes, wasting time and energy. As soon as this oven is ready, it makes a noise and pings any connected devices with a notification. Obviously when timers you have set run out, these pop up on your phone/tablet/whatever else you've connected as well, to let you know your food is ready. The Smartthings app is full of recipes and instructions to use the different features of the oven also. You can turn the oven on and off with the app, but the utility of this is slightly limited for safety reasons - you have to press a button on the oven to enable controlling it remotely, which is fine, except it switches off automatically every time the oven finishes cooking. This means you have to press it again if you are going to want to turn the oven on remotely (eg. to preheat it) next time you use it. This doesn't need to be enabled for other features however, like monitoring the temperatures, notifications, or seeming how much time is left. There are a number of other features which stand out as well, like the telescopic rail near the bottom to get things in and out more easily, and cleaning cycles to save on oven cleaner and elbow grease! One feature I really like is the rotisserie spit - there is a little hole at the back of the oven that this fits into, with a frame to hold it in place. This is a nice touch, and works really well. As you might expect, there are a couple of niggles, but mainly things I expect (hope) Samsung can iron out with updates. I'd really like the finished cooking notifications to be more persistent, like an alarm where it keeps making a noise until you turn it off, so they're harder to miss. The sounds on the oven are a little quiet as well, making this more important. I would also like to be able to use my smart speakers to control the oven, although I am having difficulty connecting them at the moment. This could be caused by a number of external factors, I just can't tell at the moment. Overall, I have been really pleased with the oven, and look forward to cooking many more meals with it!

La proposition d’avoir un four à double étage m’a attiré. Je ne regrette absolument pas mon choix. C’est très pratique de pouvoir faire cuire des aliments séparément avec des températures différentes. Le rail télescopique est très pratique dommage cependant qu’il y en ait que dans la partie basse. La possibilité de retirer la plaque de séparation permet d’avoir un four de grande capacité. Très pratique. Le démontage des accessoires permet un bon nettoyage. Les revêtements sont très facile d’entretien. Parfait.

Nous avons acheté ce four fin août. Satisfait globalement pour le moment sur l'aspect cuisson. J'ai déjà rencontré un souci de connexion du four au compte samsung. Mais que dire du nettoyage. La pyrolyse n'est pas complètement efficace même après 2h30. Il faut retirer les supports latéraux à nettoyer manuellement. Et surtout que dire du nettoyage de l'intérieur des vitres de la porte froide. Il faut selon Samsung nettoyer à l'aide d'un baton et d'un chiffon. C'est inefficace que difficile à réaliser. Si la porte peut s'extraire facilement cela n'apporte aucune faciliter pour nettoyer les vitres intérieures sur lesquelles peut couler de la sauce ou pate. He oui c'est ouvert. Il n'est pas possible de retirer les vitres pour les nettoyer. Je pense que Samsung se moque bien de ses clients pour un four de haute gamme.

DANGER - The oven is randomly coming on and starting heating even with all switches set to off. I have tried turning off wi-fi (just to make sure it's not a random SmartThings signal) but the oven is still randomly switching itself on. I have had to resort to switching off the power at the cooker wall switch just to make sure that it's not a fire hazard! Very disappointing after just over 3 years of use :(

Desgraciadamente mi horno tiene los mismos fallos recurrentes que se describen en internet: el horno se enciende solo incluso sin wifi ni ninguna conexión y el dial de selección de modos falla continuamente. Tengo que tenerlo desconectado por seguridad. Se cambio el dial una vez en garantía y ahora ha vuelto a fallar. Durante la cocción cambia solo de modo...un desastre absoluto.

Only been fitted for two weeks. Seems to be good so far and the dual cook works well. Very disappointed that there is no grill insert (to be used with one of the trays supplied) delivered with the oven, seeing as this would only cost a few pounds. Am using the grill insert from my from my old oven at the moment, but a better solution is needed.

J'adore cuisiner au four, du poulet rôti à la broche en passant par le gratin et les desserts.Ce four est parfait pour toutes ces fonctionnalités. Tournebroche (en alu très léger) en panne au bout de 10 minutes. Poulet cramé et surtout le four n'est pas étanche, fumée qui s’échappe du four lors de la cuisson à forte température ou quand le poulet brule. Je n'ai jamais vu ce problème de fuite sur aucun autre four. Je regrette mon achat.

Nous avons acheté ce four il y a 4 mois séduit par le dual cook qui s'avère effectivement une très bonne idée. Par contre quelle deception pour le nettoyage pyrolyse qui n'est pas efficace. Il faut encore 2 heure de nettoyager manuel pour retrouver son four, on v ahésiter à s'en servir !!

oven looks great - very stylish, and the flex door is what drew me to this oven - quirky! couple of gripes... one is that it only comes with 1 wire shelf, I ended up buying an additional one separately, so i could use wire shelves in both ovens at the same time. the shelf design itself is odd with a deep notch a few cms from the front of the shelf, which the shelf "drops" into when pulling it out, so you have to lift it up and over this first notch, but then its easy to miss the much smaller indent of the back "stop" notch as you are lifting the shelf slightly already, and shelf will pull completely out - an odd design! telescopic rail in bottom is great, and overcomes this issue, but there is only one telescopic rail in the bottom half, really would be useful to have one in the top section too, as that compartment is the one that is the most used. Also had to buy a rack to enable use of one of the supplied baking trays as a grill, as there was no grill pan supplied, which seems odd too. to get all the required kit, there was lots of additional costs on top of an already expensive oven.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. Firstly the oven looks great! the light up, touch display and flush knobs look very modern and it is a lovely focal point in our kitchen. The oven has some great features such as WiFi connectivity and quick pre-heat which are welcome additions to our busy family life! Our favourite part has to be the rotisserie! we don't need to buy them from the supermarket anymore. they taste just as good and everyone wants to come to us for Sunday lunch now! The Pyrolitic liners are a dream and make the clean up effortless. We do have a couple of moans, firstly you don't receive a grill pan which is something we got with the older model previously and would expect with a high end oven like this. Secondly the top of the bottom door is not sealed glass so on making bacon we did encounter some fat running down in between the panes and it wasn't easy to remove! Thirdly the Alarms are very quiet and are easily missed in our 3 storey home, our old Samsung oven had a continuous alarm until you turned it off and so we are still missing these notifications.

This is perfect for families who cook different food for family members regularly as the divider means you can change the size of oven from a large 75 litre capacity oven to two smaller ovens that work independently. It also means at weekends when the children want to bake they can without compromising the roast that is cooking below. Timers can be set separately so no forgetting how long the cookies have been in for. For busy families like ours being able to set the timer on the oven remotely is simply pure genius. Perfect Jacket potatoes now await after football training rather than an hour later plus if it overruns I can turn the oven off and back on again. The notification on your phone telling you when ready means you can leave dinner cooking and do other tasks. The app also inspires you to try other recipes. The rotisserie is amazing. I cooked a joint of beef and was amazed at how tender the meat was. This is a great extra that has so many uses. Overall this oven surpasses others not only in looks but with its use of technology.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes and have so far gone to town to try and trip it up but..... I have failed. First thing I cooked in it was unfortunately chicken nuggets and potato wedges, and while mundane the results were actually quite surprising. Using the top oven the nuggets came out crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle the wedges were the same. Better than if they were deep fried in fresh oil. Next meal was anniversary dinner where I thought I'd flex it a bit and using just the top oven did chicken en croute and dauphinouse. One fresh, one frozen. They should have been done at 180 and 200c respectively but I did them both at 180c. The chicken came out perfect and did the dauphinouse. Over the weekend we made brownies and bread using the bottom heat convection as a big oven, results were perfect again. The controls are super easy to use but in all honesty haven't used them that much because all the cooking has been done from the app. The connectivity makes it so much easier to use as I can set it to preheat while training and then put dinner straight in. Having spent too long working as a chef it's great to come home to an oven that's the equivalent of a high end commercial one in its results and ease of use.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. The big idea here is that you get two two small ovens and one large one, all in the space of a standard oven. Smart idea and in practice it is terrific. You can use the top and bottom ovens with different temperatures and timers - no more splitting the different between two temperatures and getting one item burned and the other undercooked! A few random observations: - it heats up unbelievably quickly; this is a huge benefit - when you open the door you don't get a blast of hot air that threatens to remove your eyebrows; I have no idea how they have made this the case - the touch controls are all very intuitive after a few minutes There are a couple of negatives: - the alarm at the end of the timer is too subtle; it is a melody rather than an insistent beeping - at the end of the timer the oven turns off - there is no wire rack provided with the oven tray The oven has a companion smartphone app which can control it. The best feature of the app is saving a cooking temperature and time - essentially a shortcut - so that you can select 'roast potatoes' and the oven will set the temperature and timer. Unfortunately there are plenty wrong with the app, such as constantly asking you to confirm your Samsung account. It also has a timer in the app, but when the timer reaches zero it doesn't alert you UNLESS you are in the app at the time. Kinda stupid. The app is bad enough that I'll be deleting it. Improvements - nothing is perfect and here is what I would suggest that Samsung add to the next edition: - have an option for an always-on display - have an option for different end-of-timer sounds - add a wire rack - rewrite the app But none of these are major. The key question: is it a good oven? Yes, its a great oven. Very fast, very flexible

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. I was sceptical about a "smart" oven at first but after just a week or so using the oven, I am now convinced. The oven itself is sleek with easy-to-use familiar controls, a neat "Dual-Cook" option for cooking 2 different items at different temperatures at the same time. This is also easy to use with a removable insert that separates the 2 sections of the oven. My only gripe is that, there is nowhere within the oven itself to store this when it's not needed (not a huge problem, just one extra thing to find a home for). When you do use it, the "smart" oven detects the prescence of the insert and automatically gives you access to 2 different temperature settings via the front control screen. That screen is clear and sharp and is also a touch screen for some of the extra controls. The oven also has a brilliant "fast preheat" option which really does save time compared to a normal oven when waiting for it to come up to temperature. We found it could preheat to 200 degrees C in just a couple of minutes! The other great feature is the Smarthings functionality. Using the Samsung Smarthings app you can connect the oven to your wifi (quick and easy to do with no hunting around for router passwords), and the monitor and control the oven remotely. You can preheat the oven when you're on your way home, or just really engrossed in something on the TV, as long as it is enabled on the oven. The oven is also "smart" on other ways. I love the simple addition of a light button on the front, so you can turn on the oven light to see how things are cooking without the need to leave it on all the time or open the door. There is also a built in oven tray attached to an easy-glide rolling pull out shelf - making it even easir to get things in and out of the oven. Samsung have really thought about some of the things that make cooking easier with this oven. It's smart in many ways and not all of them are about the technology.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. I am incredibly pleased with the look of this oven in my kitchen, physical appearance of the oven is beautiful. The oven gives you more choices and flexibility in cooking than the regular one. It looks fantastic, sleek and stylish design. This oven heats up very fast and guide lighting control helps regulate temperature, cooking functions and time settings. It does all the thinking for me with its automatic programs and settings. The number of features available mean I can experiment with different type of cooking. The main feature of this oven that it has a special divider partition shelf which turns one oven into two. You can select various programs, cooking temperature separately for each part of it ( top and bottom). In this way you can cook completely different dishes in this oven. There is absolutely no transfer of smells or flavours in this Samsung oven. The ability to be more economical, more flexible with cooking, do this oven perfect for someone, who likes home cooking and baking like me. The controls are simple enough, baking and roasting with cook assist The cleaning here is automatic ( pyrolytic – self cleaning function) and all the dirt and grime in the oven burns out ( this reaches 490- 500 degrees Celsius) and you just need to remove it with wipes, so it saves your time in cleaning. Also I love the fact, that I can use my phone to operate and control my oven ( this means you can download SmartThings app on your smartphone and take advantage of remote monitoring controlling your oven from wherever you are) it’s great for when you are out or about. Or when you are a little lazy and sitting on the sofa and want to pre-heat the oven. This app also has very helpful hints and tips for temperature as well as some recipes of meal inspiration. The idea is great for someone who really loves cooking and baking. In overall, I can say this oven modernized my kitchen, I enjoy the new features. So far I'm really pleased with this oven, so I hope will continue pleased by its performance and quality.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. This is an excellent oven, full of really helpful features and with few negative points. Firstly, it is really very intuitive and easy to use; the left dial sets the mode and the right, the temperature. The display gives information, at a glance, about the current settings. As I have used it more over the past week I have found myself setting it up using my phone via the Samsung SmartThings app. This was easy to set up, my phone found the oven almost immediately, and allows you to set and monitor the oven whilst doing other things. For instance, it gives notifications when the oven has reached the correct temperature and when the timer has finished. The only downside with this, a safety feature I presume, is that this needs to be activated by pressing a button on the front of the oven and this 'times out' after a period meaning that you cannot set your oven to preheat whilst on the train home! The accessories included with the oven: two universal trays, a wire rack and a rotating spit for roasting are sufficient for most things but a grill pan or wire insert for one of the trays would have been a welcome addition, perhaps instead of the spit which I cannot see myself using very often. The oven itself preheats quickly and there is a 'fast preheat' function which gets to temperature within minutes, albeit at increased energy consumption. The temperature seems consistent throughout and my food has turned out well. There are options as to how the oven should be heated (forced air only, forced air + bottom/top element, eco mode) and thus far I have found including the bottom element to be useful in baking bread and the top element when roasting chicken breasts to give more direct heat in addition to the convection. The only issue I have had so far has been, in positioning my bread directly in front of the fan, the rear of the loaf was more well-done than the front. These things happen in getting to know a new oven and next time I will either shift it or try without the convection heating. Possibly the star feature of this oven, the 'dual cook' option, whereby you can effectively split the oven in two and have different temperatures in the bottom and top halves, is better than I initially thought it might be. The oven maintains the two temperatures well, with the addition of a dividing insert in the centre, and the split door allows access to the top half only; I can see this being useful when baking cakes etc which are sensitive to opening the door, although I can see this being most helpful in cooking Sunday roasts. All-in-all, despite a few relatively minor flaws, this is proving an excellent oven and one which I shall be happy to use for many years

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. This oven can do almost anything, except play DVD's. Going from an oven that had an off and on switch and a temperature control dial, this oven is the bee knees. It is so feature packed. I think the only issue that caused me a problem was the fact the the shape of the oven. Our old oven had a recess at the top back so this like a gas pipe from the stove above wouldn't interfere with it, this however is very square and left no room to accommodate the the gas pipe meaning we I had to hack up the the kitchen a little to get it installed but that was a small price to pay for what the oven does and how it will benefit us in the future. My house is mostly smart and never really thought about a smart oven. But now my opinion has definitely changed on that. Having the ability to turn the oven on and get it ready to cook without going in to the kitchen is a game changer. The preheat time of the oven is immensely fast, in the past I would think of something to eat that would require the oven but then decided against it because of how long the oven would take to get to temp even when the old oven was new. One of the first features i tried was the rotisserie. After buy many of these in the past from the supermarket, I can honestly say, making your own is much much nicer and doesn't take long at all. Other than user error of not securing the chicken very well in the spit, it cooked beautifully. The Dual Cook function is genius, being able to cook 2 different things at different temperatures in something that is a single oven size is the future. The app for the oven is very useful for even the novice cooks out there (like myself). It has recipes that guide you through each step of preparation and when you get to the end has the ability to send the cooking time and temp setting ready to just put it in and cook. As it is early days for the app, it does need some tweaking, things like how many people the recipe serves and what size bakeware you need to use. Not tried working the grill out yet as our old oven had a specific setting and a specific grill pan that you used. This came with 2 wire racks, 2 baking trays, a rotisserie frame (that spins) and the Dual Cook divider. Would have like to have seen a grill pan come with it but not a major issue, just means we have to adapt. I have tried the self clean pyrolytic function once but the oven wasn't that dirty to start. Be prepared as it generates a strong smell and a bit of smoke so I would say have a door or large window open ready. It seemed to burn off any excess grease and grime but time will tell as it gets used more. The Telescopic rail is a really nice touch for those larger item that you may be cooking especially as Christmas nears (i know it's only November) and some people will be cooking large turkeys. The physical controls on the oven are very intuitive and guide you through the steps, I do think it would be useful to have the quick cook functions listed on the display as a scrolling mess rather than a letter and a number like A4 for frozen pizza. Overall I don't think people will be disappointed with this if they had it.

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. We have used it to cook a lot of dishes in the last week. The oven heats up from cold in less than 5 minutes and the food has consistently cooked well. The touch panel controls are really easy to use too, and they are logically and clearly laid out. The main thing we have noticed is that our food has been far less dried out than in our old oven. The main reason for this is the 'Dual Cook Flex' feature. This allows so much flexibility as we could use the oven as one large oven, or convert it into two smaller ovens by simply sliding the Dual Cook Flex shelve into the middle. The benefits of the Dual Cook feature over a regular single oven are: 1) Cooking using a different temperature in each section at the same time (avoiding a temperature somewhere in between what two dishes actually need, which often causes food to dry out, or even burn!). 2) Grill in the top, whilst baking in the bottom section. 3) For smaller meals you can cook using the top section on it's own (saving energy by only heating the smaller top section instead of the whole oven). 4) The hinged mid-opening door allows you to open the top section without interrupting food cooking in the bottom section WiFi connectivity has also been great to have. The oven can be controlled via the SmartThings app on a smartphone via WiFi. You can remotely start/stop the oven from the app, but I didn't see much use for that as you still need to put food in/take food out at both of those times. For me, the smart features REALLY excelled on smartphone notifications. We have a three storey house and when we are upstairs we have often missed the buzzer when cooking is done. This ovens in-app notifications feature gave us reliable and clear messages on both of our smartphones (and also on my smartwatch) so we never missed the end of cooking! It was great being able to monitor the oven from upstairs in the app as we could check on the temperatures and see the remaining cooking time - that has been very useful! The app also shows you a wide range of dishes which you can send direct to the oven. It then heats up to the correct temperature while you prepare the dish from the instructions. You then put the dish in when the oven alerts you to and remove it when it says it has finished. We used this option to make two dishes we haven't made before, a potato gratin and a homemade pizza (with home proved dough) They both came out perfectly! The telescopic tray (a tray that slides in and out) was another nice feature. I would struggle without this in the future, it made access to larger/heavier dishes so MUCH easier! We haven't used the oven enough to be able to test the cleaning features yet (a lighter steam clean, or the more serious pyrolytic clean that burns the dirt off for an easy clean up). I expect both of these will make keeping it clean really easy. Negatives are few and far between... but we did find a few. The oven is fantastic, but it does have a few small issues. - There is no grill pan insert provided. We used the supplied wire rack to make cheese on toast instead, but that made a lot of mess. (I have now bought a well priced compatible grill pan insert locally, but this is something that should come with an oven at this price point!) - The oven-based cooking notifications (alerting to the end of cooking) are way too quiet. The playful tune rarely caught our attention if we were out of the kitchen. The phone app notifications more than made up for this though, as we never missed those (except for the separate hourglass timer notifications which don't come through to the app!? - PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE SAMSUNG!!) - The folding door has a gap between the glass at the midway point. While we haven't done it yet, I feel that it's only a matter of time before we fold down the top half of the door and spill something inside the gap! The manual says to get a stick with a wet cloth to clean down there, but I can't help feeling that a cover or protective approach would have been a much better approach) Despite a few minor niggles, the oven really is fantastic. It is easy to work, it cooks well and it looks great. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if I was in the market for a replacement oven!

I received this oven from Samsung for product testing purposes. It replaces a reasonably expensive John Lewis single oven which we've used for years in combination with a smaller built-in fan oven/microwave. We were attracted to the Samsung for two reasons - the dual cook function (which allows the oven to be spilt into two separately controlled mini-ovens) and the WiFi smart control functionality via the Samsung Smartthings app. We've used the oven for some time now and although there are a few minor issues which could (and may be) be improved, the positives far outweigh the negatives and I'm happy to recommend the Samsung as a major improvement over our previous oven. I'll detail the significant features, covering the niggles first in case they are show stoppers for anyone, but I'd emphasise that in most cases, they are minor in nature. Dual cook function. The oven can be split with a divider, converting it into two separately controlled, smaller ovens with different cooking modes and temperatures. The top half of the oven door can be opened without disturbing whatever is cooking in the bottom half - handy for souffles and Yorkshire puddings. The niggle? Opening the top half door exposes a gap at the top of the bottom half, where food can be spilled between the inner and outer glass potentially creating a difficult/impossible to clean stain. Care is needed. That said, the dual cook function works brilliantly. I've cooked chicken on a fan setting at one temperature on top, with bread baking using bottom heat plus fan at a different temperature underneath. It's flexible, simple to use and almost makes our second oven redundant. It time, we may replace that with just a built in microwave. Accessories. There are a lot of accessories provided, but some surprising omissions. The niggles? Most ovens we've had come with two wire rack shelves and a wire insert and a handle for the grill pan. The Samsung comes with one wire rack and no grill pan handle or wire rack insert. However, it comes with two substantial trays and a fully functioning rotating rotisserie. Generous, but I'd rather have had no rotisserie, one tray and a full complement of wire racks. That said, it may just be a matter of what we are used to and additional wire racks cannot be very expensive. The over also has a pair of telescopic rack mounts which allow the lower shelf or tray to be slid out of the oven for attention and back in easily. A nice feature - but our cheaper John Lewis oven had two pairs which was even more versatile. Self cleaning. One of the features we loved in our old oven was the pyrolytic self cleaning function which uses high temperatures to turn grease and stains into a light ash which can be brushed away. The drawback was that the shelves, supports and trays had to be removed before cleaning, so those still had to be cleaned using elbow grease and/or chemicals. We hoped that the Samsung may have overcome this slight drawback, but whilst they haven't totally (all the internal attachments still need to be removed prior to pyrolytic cleaning), the Samsung does have an additional self cleaning trick - steam cleaning. This involves pouring a quantity of water onto the oven floor (yes, really) and the steam clean function boils that water into steam to clean less stubborn staining. I hope that regular use of this function might keep the racks and supports clean enough not to require scrubbing. Time will tell. WiFi. This was the feature that really excited us. Both having busy lives, we oft thought that it would be great to be able to switch our oven on to preheat from the car on the way home, so it was ready to cook as soon as we got home. We expected that to be the case with this and to a certain degree it is - but with caveats. Hooking the oven up to the Smartthings was fairly easy, but we felt it was unnecessary to have to install Samsung's own web browser before we could link the app and oven. Occasionally, the app doesn't connect to the oven at the first attempt, but generally does with the second. But the most frustrating feature is that in order to be able to switch the oven on and off or to start cooking remotely, one first has to press an icon on the oven control panel. It seems counter intuitive that to control the oven remotely, one first has to press a button locally. I'm not sure why, but it limits the convenience of the feature and irritates this user. I'm sure that the user interface and functionality will improve, but compared with other smart apps and equipment (Hue, Hive or Alexa), this feels a bit clunky ad not fully developed. But maybe it isn't … Odd and ends. There is much to love about this oven. It has many cooking modes (convection, conventional oven, top heat, bottom heat, combination, grill, eco, cleaning and special functions). Pre-heating is amazingly quick; our old oven took ten minutes to get to temperature and our mini oven takes ten. The Samsung reaches cooking temperature in under five minutes (which somewhat negates our desire to start preheating remotely, I suppose). Also, compared with out previous ovens, it is whisper quiet. That coupled with the fact that the oven light switches off after three seconds, meant that I kept having to check that I'd remembered to switch it on. The internal volume is greater (slightly wider) than our previous ovens and the control panel is simple, elegant, attractive and easy to use. The oven is also very contemporary and sleek in appearance, with the control knobs pushing away flush when not in use. You have full control over temperature, cooking time, cooking start time and cooking finish time, all through the simple but flexible user interface. Importantly, it cooks evenly. There appear to be no high or low temperature spots, which is a first for us in an oven. All of that, coupled with the novel, entirely usable and incredibly flexible dual cooking mode (which effectively makes having a second oven redundant), makes recommending this oven a no-brainer, even considering the minor drawbacks I've mentioned, and probably with hindsight, made too much of. It's not a cheap purchase, but in my opinion, it's a good one and worth it.
