The simple set up using my phone was easy to follow so I got set up to watch Netflix and Disney plus quickly. Self-levelling and focusing is a massive improvement from my old projector making moving from wall to screen hassle free. With a great image on wall or projector screen. The projector came with a hard case which protects it well. The only down side of the case is that the remote, charger and cable tidy don't fit. We have had our first family movie night and looking forward to many more through the winter months.

Projector appears to offer a range of features designed to cater to various entertainment needs, from movie nights to gaming sessions. Powerful 360-degree sound is impressive and ideal for creating an immersive audio experience. Clear and sharp picture with minimal setup, had to update Netflix app as the pre installed app was not working. Came with a free carry case which is strong and great for carrying bus sadly there is no space for remote and adapter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this projector a couple of weeks ago and it's a fantastic little device. It's portable and can be moved from room to room easily. The sound quality is excellent, and the picture is very good even up to x100 size. We have watched films in the hot tub and doubled up on sports night with alternative boxing promoters, one on tv one on projector! The only gripe I do have is sometimes the angle changes on it's own for no reason

Its picture quality is amazing. The screen can go up to 100 inches. It is a 360 degree rotatable projector. The sound quality is amazing. I can watch my favourite shows and movies while in my bed using ceiling as my screen. It has Amazon Alexa, bixby. It has built in Netflix, Disney plus and so many more apps. You can play games watch YouTube videos, office presentations and much more. It is easy to carry. Thanks for the cover I got for free with its purchase. We watched a movie in the back yard and it was a cinematic experience. I really love the quality it produces and it is packed with loads of features. It also connects with my Samsung phone and makes it so easy to use. I would definitely recommend this product as it is value for money and a very good entertainment for all ages. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this is my first ever projector but my lord is it amazing well above what I expected. First of all it’s very easy to set up took 5 to ten mins and all ready has built in apps Netflix Disney and more . The auto option for screen is good to and auto focus although u can move it around on the settings. Now let’s talk about sound and for such a little machine it has a great sound system and to my suprise it also connects to a soundbar if you wanna add some extra boost through WiFi . Another great feature is the built in Xbox gaming long as you have game pass WiFi and a controller you can play all your Xbox series x games that are on game pass. I also tried plugging in the usb in to the machine which once again give you lot more options to use for other things. I am suprised how many options there is to change setting to with colour volumes and tones. I am use to watching tv on high spec TVs so I was curious how this would meet my standards but it is a great option for a bigger screen or if you go away somewhere would definitely recommend this thumbs up from me.

The main benefits for me are the picture quality and how easy it is to setup and get a properly aligned view. The picture quality is really good, nice and bright, even in daylight or with lamp(s) on in the room. And all you have to do is point it at the surface and the projector auto-corrects the picture to the right shape. This is a major advantage over previous projectors I've had where you have to mess about with various settings to get the right shape and size of image. I am also a great Samsung fan and the projector fits nicely into my setup. I have a Samsung soundbar with my TV and the projector connects no problem. The same with my Galaxy Buds Pro and Z Fold 5 phone. I'm looking forward to testing out the portability the next time I go away. With all the in-built apps and the gaming hub, there should be plenty to keep us entertained in the evenings. We had a great family fun night recently playing Jackbox Party on the projector through the Gaming Hub. All told, I would definitely recommend and am even thinking about getting a second one to check out the pairing to get a 160" screen.

We have a Samsung Freestyle projector (original version) and I like that it’s an all in one portable solution… recently it’s started displaying an image composed entirely of coloured rectangles, usually on startup but sometimes after a couple of minutes of operation. Sometimes the sound works when it does this other times it is silent. When this happens there’s no obvious immediate resolution. Sometimes power cycling it a few times helps, other times not. We have also tried wiping the front of it in case it was an auto focus issue of some sort. Completely removing the power cord so it’s not in standby seems to help as it restarts OK after that usually.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This projector absolutely exceeded my expectations! The best way to describe it is it’s literally a portable TV! It’s super easy to set up, has all the usual tv apps built in like Disney+, Netflix, Now TV etc so it’s so simple to get straight into watching stuff once you sign up / sign in. I absolutely love the design as its so simple and not overdone that it blends in really nicely wherever you put it to project. One of my favourite features that it has built in is that its no faff when you move it to another wall whether its closer or further it automatically resizes and refocuses the screen itself saving you time and energy doing anything yourself. The quality of the picture and sound are excellent as I’d expect from samsung having always shopped with them for our tablets and TV’s, I’ll be honest with it being such a small device I did not expect the sound quality to be as amazing as it was, exactly like our Samsung smart TV. I would 100% recommend this to anyone thinking of buying one, we can’t wait till we go away in November to take this with us and test it out whilst where away too as you only need a wifi connection to access the TV side to it. My ONLY con is that it does not come with a MICRO HDMI cable to you can connect it to your other devices such as games consoles, I would much rather have an official Samsung Micro HDMi then having to source a 3rd party one. Other than this I can’t fault the device itself at all and the free carry case is excellent too, I just wish its space was enough for the cable and plug too.

The compact size, picture quality and the newest addition of the Samsung Gaming Hub were all very appealing to me, so I placed an order as soon as the unit was available. The Freestyle 2nd Gen comes in a minimalistic yet sturdy packaging. Inside you will find the main unit with the attached stand, a super fast charger, a USB-C cable and a solar-powered remote. All these come in white and have a premium feel to them which, coming from Samsung, you would expect. The real fun begins when you hit the power button. Once you go through the initial set-up, which luckily does not take much time, you start to see the full potential of the projector. The interface is quick and responsive, the image is sharp, and the sound suprisingly loud and spacious coming from such little speakers. You can connect your computer, phone, you can stream movies from your favourite services or you can start playing games through the revolutionary gaming hub and the experience is great. The best part is that you can take the Freestyle with you to your garden, friends or anywhere else you want to. The key is to rememeber that the unit requires a power source to operate but this is not a show stopper, I have managed to successfully use it with a powerbank. All in all, after two intensive weeks with the unit, I can clearly state that Samsung did not disappoint. The Freestyle 2nd Generation is a great little gem that found a place in my home and is loved by my family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been playing around with the Freestyle projector for a few days now and to say I'm impressed is an understatement! I own a projector that I picked up almost a year ago and I've already used the Freestyler more. The set up was super easy, the screen adjusted automatically which was a great start. Got it connected to the WiFi quickly and logging into all of the streaming/gaming services was really easy. Also thought it was pretty cool that the remote can be charged using the solar panel on the back. No need for batteries or even cable if the sun is around! The projector itself feels very premium and I love how compact it is. The handy stand is stable and makes adjustments easier. The power cable is also a good length. I have it set up in my bedroom, replacing my old one as I'd been using it in place of a TV. I've had it on my bedside table so I can watch it on the wall or if I want to lay down, I can quickly point it up to the ceiling and it knows what to do. Zero faffing! The picture quality is amazing in any light. It's nice and clear at any distance I've tried so far. It's very bright and the colours are vivid, which means the ambient scenes look great. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of sound, but it's great. I haven't noticed any tinny sounds so far so that's a win and everyone can hear it clearly no matter where they are in the room. I've had a few gaming sessions and again found the set up a breeze. Linked my xbox controller in seconds and I was away! Appreciate the variety of apps available so far and have tried a couple of the games in the app store. Overall, this was a brilliant purchase and I would definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What it is to be young at heart and new tech to arrive on your doorstep. Words can't explain the excitement! What immediately catches you about the Samsung FreeStyle 2 is just how tiny it is. Being really small means it is really portable, which on the face of it doesn't seem as if this is a big deal. WRONG! Being so small and portable means that we can effortlessly switch between rooms, so as a family we can ALL share the luxury of having a home cinema in our OWN rooms. After unboxing it the WiFi setup was straightforward and then was followed by a quick software update. Immediately I noticed the user interface was the same as my Samsung TV so after a while you no longer think of this as a projector - It's just a REALLY big portable TV The built-in speaker does an ok'ish job with the sound but if you want to get serious then an external Bluetooth speaker is a must. Using it downstairs in the living room this tiny thing can project big. The official specifications say up to a Max screen size of 100" but I got it to 106" and it looked fine and bright - lighting up the complete wall. The projector has support for popular services Services like BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney already installed. You also have the luxury of being able to Install other apps as well. Picture quality is really good but remember this is 1080p HD so if you can a computer screen with small writing it will not be too clear but large presentations will be fine. Just an idea ;-) What about Gaming ? Connect the HDMI micro cable to an XBOX or a Playstation and your ready for what seems like the next world of immersive game-play. Well, it is for my 12-year old and 6-year old it definitely is. Would I recommend this projector? Its a definite YES from me. It might seem a bit pricey but honestly if you have the budget and want something that can deliver and is portable then get buying. So glad I did!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I admit to being very excited about the arrival of the new Freestyle Gen 2. The projector arrived a couple of weeks after the original date as this is obviously a popular piece of kit! It came with a great carry case that the project slots into perfectly. The power cable was included and to be honest that is pretty much all you need out of the box. Set up was extremely easy (just don’t forget to remove the lens cap!). I was immediately impressed with how quickly the projector auto-adjusted to focus the picture on my bedroom wall. I pointed it up at the ceiling and it pretty much instantly auto adjusted again. It's very impressive and all without me having to do a single thing! The setup steps probably took me about 10 minutes or so and that included the download of a software update. Once that was done and Wi-Fi connected I was immediately onto the Media home screen, and live tv already playing. As these things go this was one of the simplest tech setups I've had to get things up and running and usable from the start. The Freestyle interface is easy to use and work with. Lots of the key apps are already downloaded, so setting up things like my Amazon Prime and iPlayer accounts was easy. And I also experimented with the Xbox Gaming Pass as I have that as well, and that was very quick to enable. Connecting Bluetooth speakers, headsets and a game controller were also very simple. All in all, it is a simple interface to use and if you need to fine tune anything it is easy to work with and to get into the detail. The gaming experience was a bit laggy, but it does work and I’m going to try a few more options there. Picture quality is fantastic. Even when like me you are projecting onto a white wall with a couple of doors on it! I am just awaiting arrival of a proper screen but even without it I was able to watch films in fantastic quality within very short time after setting things up. There is no noticeable lag, the brightness is great (even in a room not completely dark) and it's even better than I expected. Expanding the usage of the projector is also simple. With a HDMI Micro cable, and a HDMI micro to normal adapter, I have been able to connect my laptop and my Firestick to give me complete flexibility. Overall this is a great projector and I can’t wait to take it on holidays and trips as well as use it much more at home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Freestyle 2nd Gen is an amazing compact projector. it comes with a USB C power cable as well as a remote with the standard power, volume and navigation buttons. It is packed with smart tech and has access to a myriad of apps. The remote allows you to quickly jump into Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and of course Samsung's own tv offering. For its size its able to project a bright image that can compete with bright sunny days, though i havent tested to see how it fairs outside in direct sunlight but even with curtains open you can clearly see what it is projecting. Of course darkened rooms is where it shines and its speaker, located on the bottom of the device, is able to provide excellent sound. You can of course connect bluetooth headphones for solo viewing sessions or when you are looking to get better audio ques when you are gaming. Speaking of gaming, the freestyle offers access to various game streaming services and I used my Xbox Game Pass to test it out. I cant tell you how much the portability and streaming quality has changed my life. Now, whilst getting in some steps on my walking map, i can continue my gaming sessions by projecting onto the wall in front of me and playing with my bluetooth enabled controller of choice. The Freestyle treats your controller like a remote as well so you can hop from your gaming session, to a video streaming service of your choice or access any other setting. The auto keystone and focus settings are surprisingly quick and allow you to move the projector around without having to manually adjust settings to level and ensure the picture is square on the surface you are projecting onto. This of course is something that will be even better when using the freestyle using an external battery (which i havent done) but when going from projecting onto my wall onto my ceiling it would take not more than 3 seconds to correct itself and choose the best settings. I can of course manually set the size of the screen and move the actual projection area to better suit the surface im projecting onto. e.g to miss out weird outcroppings or ensure its not projecting onto my chest of drawers. Overall i enjoy the freestyle and the only thing i would change is the mini hdmi port. A USB C port would have opened up a lot more options now and into the future, though with access to so many apps the limited connection options can be forgiven in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical that a projector this small and portable would produce a quality image and sound. I can say it's 100% proved me wrong. Even on my first quick test (againts a bright yellow wall) the colours were vivid and the sound was surprisingly good for such a compact unit. The built in apps, for the majority of streaming apps, were a breeze to set up. The choice of free streaming channels is very impressive! The bundled remote control is well built and even controlled my Fire Stick when I was watching that, it made life a lot easier! I have a few minor niggles, the unit uses micro HDMI, which means you'll need an extra cable to connect an external device (such as a games console). The free case that came with the unit was a bonus, however it doesn't have space to store cables in it as well. Overall this is a great projector which looks and sounds amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After waiting an extra few weeks for delivery due to lack of stack, i was excited to finally get my hands on the device. I was quick to unbox the device and keen to get it set up. the set up and installation was quite simple, but the hard part is working out which wall to project on to, due to the shape of the rooms in my house. I opted for the bedroom and it took a while to manually get the angle and image sharpness right, which was disappointing as i thought it was supposed to automatically adapt the "keystone" which it has not done yet, on any wall i have pointed it at. I have had to do it manually. in the box came a remote control with a solar cell to recharge battery. disappointed it did not come with a HDMI cable. overall i am sure it will be fun to take out on vacations etc, or project in the back garden when the weather clears up. I have given 4 stars due to no HDMI cable and the auto functions do not appear to work as advertised. So far so good though. Only had it a few hours and look forward to seeing what else it can do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well right out of the box you can tell just what a quality product this is, the feel of it and the packaging is very nice. The only thing missing from the package is a micro HDMI cable to link it to old equipment. I have used this at so many locations now from Work to my workshop and everywhere in between. All I can say is I love it, one of the best things I have bought in some time. With already having a big Samsung monitor in my office that has the same interface, is was so easy to set up, just a couple on minutes and it was all setup ready to go.

I bought this projector to replace a non-branded one. The design and portability of it seem pretty great and it is lightweight and easy to move around - however, for me that's where the benefits stop. My cheaper, non-branded projector has obstacle avoidance built in and it works flawlessly. The Samsung Freestyle does not even come close - while the auto-focus works fairly well, the keystoning is just a bit poor. Brightness is okay - could be better - so far, I've only used it indoors against a white wall - I did need to have the lights off for it to be fully effective. My main issues, however, come from the Samsung eco-system. I've been unable to get through the smart hub set up! For context, the projector was bought in the UK and brought with me to the Falkland Islands where I currently live. Long story short, the device says that the smart hub features are not supported in this country. I've been unable to work out whether it is a geographical country issue (and indeed Samsung is not support in the Falkland Islands) or if it is to do with geo-locking (the device was bought in Europe and must be used there?). Without being able to log into the smart hub, you can only use the device with HDMI inputs which for me, is not the way I wish to use the device. After multiple attempts to troubleshoot, I've resigned to the fact this was a waste of money! Samsung's live chat support was unable to solve the problem and their suggestion made no difference. I've scoured forums and Google and no solution has worked. Disappointed for sure! Should've just stuck with my cheaper alternative!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've bought a few projectors over the years and as I didn't want one fixed to the wall, or a dedicated cinema room set up, they've all been a pain to set up each time I want to watch a film or set up a movie night for the kids. The Samsung Freestyle 2nd Gen is a game changer for someone like me. So simple to set up in a couple of minutes. FIrst time opening the box, I plugged it in, it registered on my Smartthings app, and I was watching trailers on the built in apps on my kitchen ceiling! The real game changer is the auto picture set up. Swivelling the base of the projector, it now pointed to the wall, the image suddenly snapped square and auto-focused. What an amazing bit of kit! I decided to do a movie night for the kids, last time I tried this, I spent about an 20 minutes getting my projector set up on a table, plugging in my amazon tv stick, trying to get the picture square and nicely focused etc. This time around, I simply plugged it in, turned it on and pointed it at the wall. Job done, kids happy. Since then, I left it on the shelf and the kids have been watching Netflix, Prime Video and BBC iPlayer on the built in apps. I think it might just be their new best toy! Looking forward to using it over Halloween and Christmas to cast pumpkins and snowflakes/santa on the wall to add that extra spooky/festive effect to the house. Overall a really cool piece of technology. When I compare to my other projector, the only real negative I can find is that the image does not have the best black contrast and the image is not very bright (my other projector is a beast that kicks out what must be the brightness of the sun, whilst sounding like an airraft taking off). Apart from that, I can't really fault it. The software is super responsive, the image is sharp and the motion on moving images is smooth. Really happy with the projector, I think it might be time to sell my other one! A few extra bits to note: "Tap to view" is amazing! I can tap my Samsung Galaxy S23 to the projector and it mirrors my screen - makes it great to view photos and videos with the family. I connected the projector via HDMI to my Samsung Q990B soundbar and Nvidia Shield and had a full blown cinema experience with Dolby Atmos over arc

Auto focus is perfectly working on any surface. Now we have evenings with kids full of joy. We can lay on bed and watch on ceilings. Great brightness during the day but the best effect is during the night. Small private theatre for feiction of rhe price. Healthier for eyes than normal tv then i can fully recommend for kids as well. Picture is full of vivid colours and all in focus. There is plenty implemwnted apps like Netflix, Youtune , etc... you can stream from phone as well. Fully recommend.

This is really a portable device and it performs impressively above its class. The sound quality was fantastic, for such a small device, I was impressed, I have tried and connected an external Bluetooth speaker, and that also works great. Very compact and portable, which is one of the reasons we bought it. Absolutely easy to setup. Software takes care of focus and adjustment. FHD display is vibrant and crisp for such a small device. Can connect two Freestyles and make one big widescreen display. Gaming Hub - my son loved it so much, I am not a gaming fan, but will have to share it with him. And once more really great sound from such a small device. I am giving 5 stars and very glad we bought it!

We use it as a second screen to play co-op games in our living room so we can have a screen each. The only complaints I have are the menu systems seem to deviate from the samsung standard e.g. holding down the settings button usually brings up the inputs selector but on this it goes to the position settings and it only has a mini HDMI input which is fine but you need an adapter would have been nice to have a full hdmi input. The auto keying feature is pretty good we usually have to adjust the rotation slightly to make it perfect but apart from that it is a really great piece of kit.

I recommended this product.

From what I have seen, it is a significant upgrade to the previous Freestyle, and all the accessories (skins, battery base) can be used with the new one. The 2nd Gen is quieter, seems like a better picture and is more responsive when switching apps. Gaming mode is the unique selling point for this device; it performs without any problems and have enjoyed playing my favourite games. I am looking forward to taking this out on the go. The quality of the picture is second to none, and it was very smooth gameplay. I will soon be heading out to see what I can get out of the Freestyle 2nd Gen and surely will be turning heads!

I bought the freestyle 2nd gen primarily with camping in mind. The small size and low power consumption make it ideal for my needs. I use it in my camper projecting it onto a roller blind. The screen size is only adjustable by moving the projector back and forth however it is near perfect where I have it positioned. The image is plenty bright and colourful. Images are sharp and there is no signs of motion blur. 1080p images look great. The projectors set up is very straightforward especially if you use the excellent Smarthings app. The neat remote works well too. There are loads of apps to choose from and I also connect directly to my mobile to access stored content via a mini HDMI that I purchased separately. For such a tiny device the sound is clear and punchy. Don’t expect room filling sound or a massively bright picture in a large room. Low noise from fan and little heat dissipation.

This was a perfect projector until 1 month after the warranty ran out. At that point the picture consisted of rectangular blocks that did not resemble a picture. Checking reddit there are multiple examples this. This was such a shame as worked flawlessly for a year and have been happy with all the other samsung products I own.

Love the features of the device. Love the bluetooth and smary features, the adjustable screen size and the rechargeable remote. Unfortunately something stopped me from using it as after 2 weeks the fan cooler started beeing so noisy that I couldn't watch anything anymore because it was annoyingly loud, almost like a hoover.

I purchased this to use abroad and unlike my 2 Samsung Smart TVs this will not run IPTV app. I thought being SMART and having similar screens to the TVs it would work but just says loading all the time. I’ve reset device, reloaded 3 times but won’t run ☹️

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On arrival item is very well packed. It comes with the required power supply and remote which as a bonus is solar rechargeable. After charging the freestyle it can be used anywhere you have a clear wall. Setup is straight forward and the machine does a lot for you like auto focus and levelling. The only issue I have had so far is I would like to stream from my iPad or phone, but have yet to work out how to do this. Picture quality like all projectors is better the darker the room. But it does give a great picture with good colours ect. Sound is also a surprise for a small machine. Many apps available via the interface and will also stream music and create screens that display video which changes with your music. So far very impressed..
