The picture is good and various aspects can be adjusted. Many channels and apps are available and you can set up other apps and favorite channels. Many steps can be involved and require some practice and patience to figure out how to work some buttons. It’s good to be able to quickly return to the immediate previous channel being watched and flip back and forth during commercials. It takes some trial and error to see the info/content of the channels. The sound is fine. The stand is easy to install and the tv is lightweight.

On some shows, the picture is so crisp and clear it looks as if we are actually on the set while the shows were filming. The smart TV aspect is great as well, we don’t need to use any additional devices in order to stream our shows. The set-up was pretty simple. We just had to create a Samsung account to be able to get the apps we wanted. We have never used a Samsung smart TV before, so learning their platform has taken some time to adapt to. Overall, we love the high-quality picture and the sound quality.

Had an electrical transformer explode at the street and the surge blew out my old tv even with a surge protector. So, I researched and found this one on sale. What an excellent tv. Was a bit of a learning curve to understand and use all the features/menus. The paper manual is in tiny print, so I went to the Samsung website and downloaded all the manuals: tv user manual, user setup, remote control and quick start up, etc. I was then able to enlarge and read them om my computer screen. Took me a couple of hours to fully explore, understand, and set all the features, but once done it became very easy and intuitive to use. For the $, tv is featured packed, excellent sound and picture. All menus and functions are smooth and relatively fast in responding and populating. I am impressed, and it takes a lot to impress me. Very pleased with this purchase.

There is one area on the upper right edge where there is a sort of white halo, though we tend to just ignore it, and it is likely a damage issue rather than a typical happening with this TV (since we got it as an “open box” situation). The sound quality is good, though we will likely purchase and add a sound bar because we know it gives a more authentic sound experience. Overall, the TV is operating well and we are simply satisfied with all that it offers.

Logging into streaming platforms was easy and intuitive as well, especially if you already have a Samsung account which saves all your app logins from one Samsung TV to the next. Design and Build: As an affordable model, this TV impressed me greatly. The bezel is small and accentuates the excellent picture quality. It’s not ultra thin, but I think this is a plus as it feels less fragile when moving. The legs mounts were easy to install and despite their small form factor, feel sturdy and reliable. The remote control is small and bare bones, but functional albeit a tad unresponsive at certain angles. Picture & Sound: This TV features beautiful video quality and HDR functionality, with vibrant colors and excellent contrast. Sound is good, but would certainly be enhanced with a sound bar or speaker system. Smart TV Features: There’s lots to love here. As a gamer, the Motion Xcelerator system helps enhance the refresh rate to create a smooth gaming experience. The TV also features a game mode which improves the responsiveness even more. The built in voice assistant (tested Bixby) is reliable and works well paired with a Samsung branded phone. The inclusion of Samsung Knox security is a nice addition too, and assists with protection from unauthorized apps and/or security threats which most of us don’t even think about in regards to a TV, so a definite nice touch there. Taken together with the ease of logging into apps, both bluetooth and wifi capabilities, it truly is a versatile device and could easily be used as a living room TV or even a computer monitor. Overall Experience: This TV rocks! The look, feel, and setup are top tier at this price point with noticeably good gaming performance and an excellent overall value. The weak spot is definitely the remote control, but it’s not a deal-breaker whatsoever. I highly recommend this TV.

For non-senior TV viewers I am sure this is all standard functionality easily managed but in the world we live in where you flip between cable and streaming I wish there was a simple single button (that he could see) available. Although the TV is fine, i am frustrated to find him regularly watching with no sound or a partially blacked out screen because he was 'changing channels'.

Hi. We just bought this TV about three weeks ago and so far are quite happy with it. Picture is great and there's a lot of options that go along with it. My only complaint is the remote control . It is too small and it does not light up in the dark. That's a hassle and I will probably have to replace it with a generic one . Aside from that, we are very happy with the TV so far.

I also bought this TV to connect my Bluetooth headphones so I can watch movies at night and not disturb my wife. A feature that works very well. Samsung TV's have been good products with our family so this was an incentive to stay with the same brand again this time around. I'm just not used to the remote and miss the voice command option. It took me several minutes to figure out how to turn up the volume. I'm currently searching for a Samsung remote with voice. A local WM did not have the Samsung remote with voice/microphone key. Start up is inconsistent, sometimes normal, sometimes have to use inputs to get satellite pic instead of Samsung pic - even though satellite audio is on, and I only use this tv for satellite input. Sometimes the picture blinks on and off while audio is constant; have to unplug for a minute and plug back in to get it to stop. Last Samsung stopped powering on after a routine power failure, I was hoping for simple mounting by sticking with same brand. Probably won't buy a Samsung product again.

The sound vibrates and rattles sounds terrible and is super annoying. But after I already installed the tv and mounted it I’m stuck with it. A 50 inch that sounds terrible. I will be having to buy a seperate sound system just so watching tv is bearable.

I just wish the display wasn't so laggy sometimes, I'll press a button on the remote and it'll take it two or three seconds to respond kind of disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We upgraded from an older tv that just didn’t have a clear picture anymore and the navigation of streaming service was a hassle. I am SO happy with our choice. This tv has a great picture- we did mess with the brightness and saturation a little to get what we liked based on lighting in the room and that was easy to do. The navigation among streaming services and adding apps for services is super easy. The sound quality is also really good. Our previous tv needed a sound bar but it didn’t attach to this tv. We assumed we’d need to buy a new sound bar but we’ve been watching it a week now and the sound has been great with sports and movies. I highly recommend this tv. The price point makes it an easy choice and it’s definitely worth it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I got this TV recently to replace another smart TV that was not very good. We were initially looking at a TLC with Roku because we've liked those in the past, but are really happy we went with a Samsung. The image is bright and clear and everything looks great, even older stuff. The remote is super responsive and the user interface is awesome. I love that I can use my Samsung Galaxy phone as an additional remote, which makes for a very convenient and comfortable experience. Plus, being a able to connect an Xbox controller to the TV via Bluetooth and play games without a dedicated console is amazing. Would definitely recommend this to others.

I bought this TV a couple of months ago to replace my old Samsung TV, which lasted almost 20 years! I’ve always found Samsung products to be very reliable, and most of the Samsung products I’ve owned have lasted well over 10 years, so I decided to stick with Samsung. I’m really happy with this TV. The picture quality is excellent, and I love having the Smart TV features. It also comes with a variety of Samsung channels with different programs to watch, which is a nice bonus. It was easy to set up and has been working great. I’m very happy with my purchase and, based on my past experience with Samsung, I’m hoping this TV will give me many years of use too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 55-inch TV is a nice TV. The picture quality is awesome. Sometimes, though, it's so clear and crisp that shows look really fake. I don't really like it when it makes my TV shows look fake, which they are, but sometimes it makes the shows look bad due to feeling like you're on the actual set. I do really love how well the colors pop on screen. Everything is so bright and colorful. The remote and navigating on the home screen has taken some time to get used to. Overall, the TV is great and we love watching movies on it.
