Used it to monitor our basement as we have had floodings recently. And sure enough the basement was flooded with 40cm water. The sensor did not react since it got filled with water... Cost us a couple of thousand Euros because of a sensor that does not work in the environment it is supposed to monitor!

used this for years, spending a fortune in the very expensive cr2 batteries. just went to put a new battery in it and noticed that one of the water contact is not even on the outside of the case due to bad production, so for years i have been relying on this sensor, and if an accident had happened, it would have never detected it.

Who had designed this product? Really??? You have made a leak/wet sensor which gets rusty when water gets into it? How hard is it to about putting two giant holes on the bottom of this sensor? There are other products out there much cheaper and water proof. Avoid buying this. Just Google it an you'll find it!

This sensor is very good. it sensed a single drop of water. it has also a built-in thermometer. I have installed recently, so i can not comment on the battery life. I wish it could be hard wired, that way the batteries are back up only, and if it could be hardwired, it would act as a repeater.

I purchased 4 units. Three work great. One stopped working, so I moved it closer to the hub, next to another leak detector that was working. It still does not connect or refresh.
