How to connect Samsung Galaxy Note9 to a Bluetooth device?

Last Update Date : Sep 20. 2018

Bluetooth is a wireless connection used for exchanging data over short distances. Bluetooth enabled Mobile Devices can communicate with other Bluetooth devices.

When your Mobile Device has changed, you need to connect (pair) the Bluetooth device again.  Simply turning the Bluetooth device on does not work to connect.

When connecting your Galaxy Note9 with a Bluetooth device for the first time you need to pair them first, following these steps:

1 Enable Bluetooth on the device you would like to connect your Note9 with. Make sure that the option Phone visibility is activated
Ensure Phone Visibility is enabled
2 On your Note9, reveal the notification panel from the top of the home screen
Reveal the notification panel
3 Tap the Bluetooth icon to activate the function
Activate Bluetooth

Please note: You can open the Bluetooth settings by holding down the Bluetooth icon

4 Your Note9 will automatically search for devices that also have Bluetooth enabled. Tap the receiving device, in this example [Phone] Galaxy Note9.
Search for devices that also have Bluetooth enabled
5 Your Note9 will begin the connection process. Confirm the connection request on both devices by tapping Ok
Connecting both devices
6 The two devices are now paired. Tap Done to return to the start screen
Devices are paired
