How to connect Galaxy Note9 to a Bluetooth device?

Last Update date : Jul 25. 2022

Bluetooth enabled Mobile Devices can communicate with other Bluetooth devices.

You need to connect (pair) your Note9 to the other Bluetooth device before they can exchange data.  Simply turning the Bluetooth device on is not enough.

Follow the below steps to pair your devices:

1 Enable Bluetooth on the device you would like to connect your Note9 with. Make sure that the option Phone visibility is activated under Settings > Connections
Ensure Phone Visibility is enabled
2 On your Note9, swipe down to reveal the notification panel from the top of the home screen
Reveal the notification panel
3 Tap the Bluetooth icon to activate the function
Activate Bluetooth

Please note: You can open the Bluetooth settings by holding down the Bluetooth icon

4 Your Note9 will automatically search for devices that also have Bluetooth enabled. Select the receiving device. In this example, it would be the '[Phone] Galaxy Note9'.
Search for devices that also have Bluetooth enabled
5 Your Note9 will begin the connection process. Confirm the connection request on both devices by tapping OK

6 The two devices are now paired. Tap Done to return to the start screen
Devices are paired
