Samsung SmartThings Outlet won't connect

If after initial setup and your Samsung SmartThings Outlet won't connect, ensure that SmartThings Hub is installed and follow these steps:

1 Delete the sensor

Tap Devices at the bottom center > Select the Three Dots icon at the top right > Edit > Remove the device using the minus sign on the right > Confirm delete

2 Reset the Outlet

a. Unplug the outlet

b. Tap Add device > Add device manually > Outlets > Samsung SmartThings

c. Hold the button down on the outlet while you plug it in

d. Once the LED on the outlet starts blinking, immediately let go of the button

e. Turn the outlet on and off until it connects. (This is an extra step beyond the regular reset process that can sometimes help with a stubborn outlet) 

3 The outlet may be out of range. Move it closer to the Connect Home, or extend the range of your ZigBee network using repeaters
4 Confirm the LED is blinking
5 Leave the outlet unplugged for two minutes to clear out cached memory
6 Plug the outlet into a different wall socket (in the event the current socket has any wiring or connection issues)
7 Reboot the Connect Home from Samsung SmartThings, My Devices > Tap your Connect Home device > Tap the picture of your Connect Home > Reboot Device
8 If the Connect Home does not respond to the reboot command, hard reboot it by unplugging the power for 30 seconds
