Force Reboot Galaxy S6 if the Screen is Frozen
In the unlikely event that your phone becomes unresponsive, you can attempt a force reboot. This will power it off and back on without affecting any data stored.
Do not attempt to remove the battery from the phone. Doing so may damage the battery and could cause burning and injury. Ensure your phone is charged to a minimum of 5 percent. If your battery is below 5 percent, the phone may not power on after the reboot. A phone that is completely drained should be charged for a minimum of 15 minutes using the wall charger supplied.
To force reboot your device, press and hold the Volume down and Power/Lock keys on the device for 10-20 seconds. This performs a simulated battery disconnect.
