Set up and manage your Samsung account
Your Samsung account gives your access to exclusive apps, lets you back up, restore, and sync your data between multiple devices, and more. Some features may vary by device and country so remember to keep your information up to date. This will also help if you forget your ID or Password.
Note: Available settings and screens may vary by wireless service provider, software version, and device.
Set up a Samsung account
Set up an account on your phone or tablet
From Settings, search for and tap Accounts. Tap Add account, and then tap Samsung Account. You can sign in if you already have an account, or tap Create account to make one. Review the legal information, and then tap Next. Enter your information, and then tap Create. Your Samsung account set up is now complete.
Setup an account on a computer
From your internet browser, navigate to the Samsung Log in page. You can log in here, or click Create one now to make a new account. Enter your information, and then click CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT to complete setup.
Note: Only one Samsung account is supported per email address.
Manage your Samsung account
If it's been a while since you set up your Samsung account, some of your info might be out of date. You can update your information any time from your phone, tablet, or computer.
Manage your account on a phone or tablet
From Settings, tap Accounts and backup, and then tap Accounts. Select your Samsung account from the list, and then Account information. Tap the information you want to update, and then enter the correct details. Tap CONFRIM to save.
If you want to change your password, tap Password and security on the Samsung Account Home page. Then, tap Change password and follow the on-screen prompts to finish.
Manage your account on a computer
Navigate to the Samsung account page, enter your credentials, and then click LOG IN.
Next, click My Account Info. Enter you information you want to update and enter your password, and then click SUBMIT to save your changes. If you want to change your password, click Change Password? Enter your current password, and then enter your new password twice. Click SUBMIT to save it.
If you need to update your region or country, you'll have to contact Samsung Support. You won't be able to do this from your phone, tablet, or computer.
Important: Changing your country will delete your purchase history, as well as the following services:
- Find My Mobile
- Samsung account (SEMS)
- Call & text on other devices
- Samsung Cloud
- Samsung Apps (Android)
- Samsung Notes
- S Health
- Samsung Pay
- Samsung Payment Service
- Easy Signup
Find your Samsung ID
Did you forget the ID of your Samsung account? Find it from your phone or a computer at account.samsung.com. Enter your information and then select FIND MY ID. Your Samsung account ID (email address) will be partially displayed.
Reset your password
Did you forget the Password to your Samsung account? Find it from your phone or a computer at account.samsung.com. Enter your email or phone number associated with your Samsung account and then select NEXT. An email will be sent to your inbox; follow the instructions in the email to reset your password.
Log out of your account
You can log out of your Samsung account on a computer on the website easily, but logging out on a phone or tablet is a little different. To "log out" on a phone or tablet, you actually have to remove the account. Doing so may disable some features, but you can always add the account back later if you would like.
Log out on a phone or tablet
From Settings, swipe to and tap Accounts and backup, and then tap Accounts. Select your Samsung account from the list, and then tap More Options. Tap Remove account, and then follow on-screen prompts to log out of your account.
Log out on a PC or Mac
Navigate to the Samsung website. From here, click your name in the upper right corner, and then click Log Out.
Delete your account
Deleting your Samsung account will also delete your Samsung purchase history, content subscriptions, content uploads, and personal profile information. This information cannot be recovered, so be certain you want to delete your account before you continue.
To permanently delete your Samsung account, navigate to the Samsung account web page. Log in using your ID and password, and then select My Account info. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then select Close Account. Review the precautions, and then follow the on-screen prompts to finish deleting your account.
