How do I set up free storage for my Samsung Galaxy S6 on Microsoft® OneDrive® ?

Your device does not support a microSD™ card, but you have access to 15GB of free cloud storage with OneDrive. If OneDrive came preinstalled on your device, you may be eligible for an extra 100GB of free cloud storage. This offer is only available through select wireless service providers.

Download and Install OneDrive

If the OneDrive application is not preloaded on your mobile device, you can download it from Google Play™ store.

    1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

    2. Touch Play Store.

    3. Search for OneDrive.

    4. Touch INSTALL.

    5. Once the download and installation is complete, touch OPEN.

Sign Up for OneDrive

If you do not have a Microsoft account, you will need to sign up before using OneDrive.

Once you have downloaded and installed OneDrive, or if the application is preloaded on your device, you can sign up for an account.

    1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

    2. Touch OneDrive.

    The OneDrive shortcut may be located in the Microsoft folder.

    3. Swipe the screen to the left to learn more about OneDrive.

    4. Touch Sign up.

    5. Enter the required information and touch Next.

    6. A verification code will be sent to the email address you registered. Enter the code and touch Next.

    7. Touch OK to upload your photos and videos to OneDrive, or touch Not now to continue to your OneDrive account.

Sign In to OneDrive

Once you have signed up for OneDrive, or if you already have a Microsoft account, you can sign in to your account.

    1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

    2. Touch OneDrive.

    The OneDrive shortcut may be located in the Microsoft folder.

    3. Enter your email address and touch Next.

    4. Enter your password and touch Sign in.

Turn On Camera Backup

Once you have signed in to OneDrive, you can set up your cloud storage preferences.

    1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.

    2. Touch OneDrive.

    The OneDrive shortcut may be located in the Microsoft folder.

    3. Touch Menu > Settings.

    4. Touch Camera upload.

    5. Touch the slider off to turn Camera upload on.

    6. Touch Upload using and choose Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and mobile network.

    7. Touch the sliders next to Upload only while charging or Include videos to turn these features on or off.
