Listening to Music on Your Gear S2

The Music app on your Gear S2 lets you control music playing on your phone, and it lets you transfer music to your Gear S2 and listen to it using a Bluetooth headset. Your Gear S2 has a total of 4GB of internal memory, a portion of which is occupied by existing content.

Transfer Music

Compatible phones and available features may vary by region, carrier and device.

  1. Open Samsung Gear on your phone.

  2. Touch Send content to Gear.

  3. Touch Select tracks.

  4. Select the tracks you want to transfer to your Gear S2 and touch DONE.

    When the Gear S2 does not have enough available memory, it deletes files that you have not set as your favorites, in order from oldest to newest.

Auto Sync Playlists

You can automatically sync tracks from selected playlists while your Gear S2 is charging.

  1. From the Send content to Gear settings of the Samsung Gear application, touch the slider next to Auto sync to turn it on.

  2. Touch Playlists to sync.

  3. Select the playlists you want to sync with your Gear S2 and touch DONE.

Listen to Music

Your Gear S2 must be connected to a Bluetooth headset to listen to music saved to your Gear S2.

  1. From the Watch screen of your Gear S2, press the Home key.

  2. Touch Next until you reach the page with the Music icon.

  3. Touch Music Player.

  4. Touch More options.

  5. Touch the Play music from phone icon to switch the player to play music stored on your Gear S2.

  6. If you have not already set up a Bluetooth headset, you will be asked to do so.

    Touch Play to begin playing music, or touch Previous or Skip to skip tracks in your playlist.

  7. Touch More options to change the Shuffle and Repeat settings or to make a song a Favorite.

Open Music Player

Open from Apps Screen

  1. From the Watch screen of your Gear S2, press the Home key.   

  2. Touch Next until you reach the page with the Music icon.

  3. Touch Music Player.

 

Open from Home Screen Widget

From the Watch screen of your Gear S2, rotate the bezel to the right to the Music Player widget.

Open from Status Panel

  1. From the Watch screen of your Gear S2, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Status Panel.

  2. Touch Music Note.
