How Do I Uninstall and Turn Off Apps on My Samsung Galaxy S6 Active? (SM-G890A)

To make the most of your device's internal storage capacity, you can uninstall or turn off apps you don't use. Downloaded apps can be uninstalled, and preloaded apps can be turned off.

Uninstall Apps

• Preloaded apps (apps built into your device) cannot be uninstalled.
• You can only turn off or hide them.

From the Apps

  1. Navigate to Apps > EDIT.

  2. Touch the remove icon on the app you want to uninstall.

  3. Touch OK.

   

From the Settings

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings > DEVICE > Applications.

  2. Touch Application manager.

  3. Touch the app you want to uninstall.

  4. Touch UNINSTALL.

  5. Touch OK.

    Preloaded apps on your device cannot be uninstalled, but you can uninstall any updates you have applied and disable it.

   

Turn Off Preloaded Apps

From the Apps

  1. Navigate to Apps. Then, touch EDIT.

  2. Touch the remove icon on the app you want to turn off.

  3. Touch TURN OFF.

   

From the Settings

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings > DEVICE > Applications.

  2. Touch Application manager.

  3. Touch the app you want to turn off.

  4. Touch DISABLE.

  5. Touch DISABLE.

  6. Touch OK.

Turn On Preloaded Apps

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings > DEVICE > Applications.

  2. Touch Application manager.

  3. Touch the app you want to turn on.

  4. Touch ENABLE.
