Connect to Wi-Fi on Your Galaxy Tab E (SM-T377x)

Turn on your Wi-Fi to save mobile data usage charges.

The available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

Connect to Wi-Fi

If not connected, make sure you check your Wi-fi password and try again.

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.   

  2. Navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi.   

  3. Touch the slider to turn Wi-fi on.    

  4. Select the Wi-Fi network from the available network list. If required, enter the password and touch CONNECT.

    If a password is not required, you can simply touch CONNECT.

  5. You should be connected to the Wi-fi network. Once connected, the Wi-Fi icon will appear on the notice bar. 

Turn On/Off Wi-Fi

Notification Panel may vary by wireless service provider and software version.

  1. To access your Wi-Fi, open the Notification Panel by swiping down from the top of your screen.   

  2. To turn on your Wi-Fi, touch the Wi-Fi icon. Once your Wi-Fi has been connected, your device will automatically scan and connect to any previously connected network.   

Wi-Fi Options

  1. From the Home screen, touch Apps.   

  2. Navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi.   

  3. Touch MORE for the following options:   

    • Add network: Manually add new network connections.

    • WPS push button: Connect directly with your wireless router using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ button on your router.

    • WPS PIN entry: Connect directly with your wireless router by entering the randomly generated PIN on your device.

    • Add network: Manually add new network connections.

      Smart network switch: Connect directly with your wireless router automatically when the Wi-Fi connection is unstable.

    • Manage networks: Manage your saved Wi-Fi network connections.

    • Advanced: Make changes to additional Wi-Fi setting options. 

    • Help: Learn about setting up and using Wi-Fi networks, and other settings.

  4. Options may vary by wireless service provider and software version. Some options may not be available on your device.
