How do I Change the App Notifications on My Samsung Galaxy View? (SM-T677A)

You can adjust the notification settings for each one of your apps.

Block App Notifications

  1. Navigate to and touch Apps > Settings > Sounds and notifications.

      

  2. Touch App notifications.

      

      

  3. Touch the app you want to block.

      

  4. To block the notifications, touch the slider next to Block notifications. All notifications, including sounds and vibrations, will be turned off for this app.

      

      

  5. When the notification setting is turned off, Blocked will appear under the app name.

      

  6. To turn the notifications back on, touch the recently adjusted app.

      

  7. Touch the slider next to Block notifications. All notifications, including sounds and vibrations, will be turned on for this app.

      

  8. When the notification setting is turned on, Allowed will appear under the app name.

      

Set App Notifications as Priority

When your notification has been set to priority, the notifications will be displayed on your device at all times, even if the Do not disturb feature is turned on.

  1. Navigate to and touch Apps > Settings > Sounds and notifications.

      

  2. Touch App notifications.

      

      

  3. Touch the app you want to set as priority.

      

  4. To set the app's notifications as priority, touch the slider next to Set as priority. Notifications from this app will display at the top of the Notification Panel when your Do not disturb is enabled.

      

      

  5. When the notification priority setting is turned on, the words Set as priority will appear under the app name.

      

Hide Content on Lock Screen

Prevent your device from displaying notification content for certain apps on your Lock screen. 

  1. Navigate to and touch Apps > Settings > Sounds and notifications.

      

  2. Touch App notifications.

      

      

  3. Touch the app you want to hide its notifications from the Lock screen.

      

  4. To hide the app's notifications from the Lock screen, touch the slider next to Hide content on lock screen.

      

      

  5. When an app is hidden, Hide content on lock screen will appear under the app name.

      

  6. To show the notifications on the Lock screen, touch the recently adjusted app.
  7. Touch the slider next to Hide content on Lock screen.
  8. When the notification setting is turned on, Allowed will appear under the app name.
