Make calls on your Samsung smartwatch

Smart Watches showing the dial pad for making phone calls

Did you ever imagine that all those spy movies would come true? Well, they have. With your Samsung smartwatch, you can make phone calls from your wrist. You just need to make sure your smartwatch is connected to your phone through Bluetooth. Once that's set up, you can make as many calls as you want.

Note: The screens and steps shown below may vary by wireless service provider and your phone. You can only make calls directly from the watch if it is an LTE model.

Make a call from your smartwatch

If your hands are full, you can begin the phone call on your watch and then continue the conversation on your phone once you retrieve it.

On your watch, navigate to and select Phone. Tap the Keypad icon to dial a number, or tap the Contacts icon to select a specific contact.

When you're ready, tap the green phone icon to make a call. The phone call will automatically begin on the connected phone. You can use your phone the way you normally do during phone calls.

Note: The Galaxy Watch Active utilizes the built in mic for Bixby interaction only and is not able to take calls directly on the watch.
