Understanding Your FlexDry™ Dryer's Vent Sensor (DV*60M9900)

The dryer features a Vent Sensor that detects and notifies you when it is time to clean the ductwork. This is important because blocked or clogged ductwork will cause poor dryer performance and is a fire hazard.

Understanding the Vent Sensor

There are 3 settings (0-2) on the Vent Sensor.

  • 0 indicates there are no clogs.

  • 1 indicates the lint or duct filters may be clogged and should be inspected. This could also mean your ducting is too long or bent.

  • 2 indicates the duct or lint filter is severely clogged and needs to be cleaned.

If the dryer is in the Level 2 state, the Vent indicator blinks for 3 hours after the completion of the current cycle. If you touch POWER or open the door, the dryer powers off immediately.
