Set Up Do Not Disturb on Your Galaxy Tab A

Tired of notifications interrupting your sleep or an important meeting? Do Not Disturb mutes all alerts on your tablet, unless you set them as exceptions. You can also set a schedule for Do Not Disturb so you can always get an undisturbed goodnight's rest, every night.

Turning On Do Not Disturb

From the Notification Panel

  1. To access the Notification Panel, swipe down from the top of the screen.  

  2. To display all Quick Settings, swipe down again.  

  3. Touch the Do not disturb icon.  

From Settings

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Do not disturb.  

  3. To turn on Do not disturb, touch the slider next to Turn on now.   

  4. To turn off Do not disturb, touch the slider again.

Do Not Disturb Schedule

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Do not disturb.  

  3. To set a schedule, touch the slider next to Turn on as scheduled.     

  4. To adjust the schedule, touch Days, Start time, End time, and then set the schedule to your preference. 

Set Up Exceptions

If the exceptions are not adjusted, Do not disturb will silence all alerts set on your tablet.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.  

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Do not disturb.  

  3. Touch Allow exceptions.  

  4. Choose from the displayed options.
