Create and Remove a Google Account on the Chromebook Pro

With a Google account, you can sync your data and apps across various devices that you sign into. You can also use a guest account for limited access on your Chromebook Pro.

Create a Google Account

  1. Navigate to the login screen and then select + Add person.     

  2. Select More options.

  3. Select Create new account.

  4. Enter your First name and Last name, and then select Next.    

  5. To verify your identity, enter your mobile phone number, and then select NEXT.

  6. Select VERIFY.    

  7. Enter the Verification Code that was received to the mobile number you entered, and then select NEXT.

  8. Enter your desired username and then select NEXT.    

  9. Enter and confirm the account password you want to use, and then select NEXT.

  10. You can enter a phone number to be associated with the account. For this example, select SKIP.    

  11. Once you've reviewed the Privacy and Terms, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and then select I AGREE.

  12. Select NEXT.    

  13. Select the desired account picture and then select OK.

  14. Your new account is now ready to use.

Remove a Google Account

The first Google account that is used to sign into the Chromebook Pro becomes the owner account. To remove the owner account, you will need to perform a Powerwash on your Chromebook Pro.

Delete a User

  1. From the login screen, click the user that you would like to delete other than the owner account.

  2. Click the drop down menu on the top right corner of the user bezel.

  3. Select Remove this person.

  4. Click REMOVE THIS USER to confirm.
