Phone Turns off While in Use

Samsung phones have a power save function that turns the screen off after a predetermined amount of time. The power save timeout can be adjusted from as little as 15 seconds up to 10 minutes. So if the timeout is set to 15 seconds, and a coworker stops by to tell you there’s donuts in the breakroom, your phone is off by the time you look back down at it.

  1. Navigate to and open Settings.

  2. Select Screen Timeout.

  3. If the phone's screen has gone blank, use this guide to navigate through the various steps you can take to get things back to normal.

Select the duration you want the screen to remain on. Of course, the longer the duration, the more battery life is used.
