Use Direct share on your Galaxy phone

Think of your phone's Direct share feature as a pipeline for instantly sharing photos, videos, and more. It lets you use the sharing panel from any app and send content to specific contacts. It’s the fastest, easiest way to share information.

Note: Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version, and phone model. 

Turn on Direct share

You just found the funniest GIF in existence. It will be easier to share with everyone if you have Direct share turned on.

Direct share is turned by default, but here's how to activate it just in case. From Settings, search for and select Direct share. Turn on Direct share by tapping the switch.

Share with Direct share

Want to share a photo with your bestie? Just use Direct share.

Navigate to the file you want to share. For this example, open Gallery. Touch and hold the image you want to share. Tap the Share icon, and then select a desired option from the sharing panel.

Note:Contacts you have shared content with in the past will appear as icons in the sharing panel.
