Transfer Data Using Smart Switch

Transfer your contacts so you don’t lose touch with your squad. After you download Smart Switch, it’s super easy.

After downloading Smart Switch, transferring content is surprisingly easy. Just open Smart Switch, select WIRELESS, follow the on-screen prompts, and then select the content you want to transfer.

Transfer Data Using the USB Connector

Like to do things the old-fashioned way? Use the USB connector to quickly transfer photos, videos, and more. Read on.

The USB option must be set to Media device (MTP) on the other device. Transferring content with a USB cable may increase battery consumption. Make sure your battery is fully charged.

Using the USB connector, connect your Galaxy Note8 to your old phone using the included USB connector and the cable from your old phone. Select the items you want to transfer to your new phone to enjoy all your favorite apps, music, and contacts without skipping a beat.
