Use Samsung Cloud on Galaxy Note8

Save it on the cloud, so nothing can reach ’em except you. With Samsung Cloud, you can breathe easy knowing your information is safe. Let us handle things up there while your feet stay firmly planted on the ground.

• Samsung Cloud is not available for Verizon Galaxy Note8.

Sync Data

Wanna move some things over from your Note8 to your laptop? Get ’em synced via Samsung Cloud. In no time, you’ll be up-to-date with your contacts, upcoming events on the calendar, and those new selfies you took. Follow along to learn how.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

  3. Touch the data you want to sync.

  4. The following data can be synced to your Samsung account:

  • Contacts: Sync all of your contact information so that you never lose another phone number.

  • Calendar: Keep track of your schedule on any device by syncing your calendar.

  • Samsung Notes: Sync your notes to stay organized.

  • Samsung Internet: Sync Samsung Internet so you can easily access your bookmarks.

  • Samsung Pass: Sync Samsung Pass data to use saved log-in information.

  • Keyboard data: Sync your keyboard data so that you can type easily on any of your devices.

  • Gallery: Sync your Gallery to access your videos and photos using your Samsung account.

Back Up Data

Recorded your baby’s first words on your Note8? Make sure you back up the footage just in case. By doing so, you can relive that special moment anytime, anywhere by logging into your Samsung account. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

  3. Touch Backup settings.

  4. Touch the slider next to the app you want to back up.

    For more information, touch INFO.

  5. Touch BACK UP NOW.

Restore Data

With all your data backed up on Samsung Cloud, restoring is a breeze. Transfer data to a new or different device using the Restore function. Let’s get started:

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

  3. Touch Restore.

  4. Select the phone you want to restore from and then select the backed up data you want to restore.

  5. Touch RESTORE NOW.

Delete Backed Up Data

If you decide you no longer need something on Samsung Cloud, take care of it. No big deal. Read on to learn more.

  1. Navigate to Apps > Settings.

  2. Touch Search, and then search for and select Samsung Cloud.

  3. Touch Manage cloud storage.

  4. To delete backed up device data, touch Device data.

  5. Touch DELETE.

  6. Select backup items you want to delete and then touch DELETE.

  7. To confirm the deletion, touch DELETE.
