Samsung Kids on your Galaxy phone or tablet
Samsung Kids transforms your Galaxy device into a child-friendly digital haven, combining safety with fun through educational games and content. It allows you to control app access, set time limits, and monitor usage with ease, ensuring a safe digital environment for your children.
Note: Samsung Kids is available on devices running Pie OS (Android 9.0) and above, availability may vary by carrier.
Setting up Samsung Kids
Quick Settings Access: Easily access Samsung Kids from your Quick settings panel.
From the top of the screen, swipe down with two fingers (if Samsung Kids isn't immediately visible, tap More options).
Select Edit,and then add Samsung Kids.
If Samsung Kids is not listed, this might indicate carrier limitations, or you may need to download the Samsung Kids Installer LITE from the Galaxy Store for tablets.
Activation: To activate Samsung Kids:
Tap the Samsung Kids icon, and then tap Start.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the set process.

Access the parental settings
Open Samsung Kids > Tap More options > Tap Parental controls.
Enter your Samsung Kids PIN or unlock method.
For added security, create a custom PIN. This PIN allows you to manage usage and prevent unauthorized exits, ensuring control over your child's digital activity.
If you already have a PIN for your Lock screen, Samsung Kids will automatically use your Lock screen credentials, including fingerprints, unless changed in Samsung Kids Settings.

Samsung Kids offers a variety of educational and entertaining activities. Engage your child with block coding, drawing, music creation, and more, all within a secure environment. The parental controls feature enables you to manage profiles, set playtimes, and monitor activity, ensuring a balanced and educational experience.
Customization and Management
App Management: Tailor the Samsung Kids experience to your child's interests and developmental needs by easily adding or removing apps.
Background and Characters: Enhance engagement by personalizing the experience with your child's favorite colors, photos, and characters.
Advanced Settings and Support
Adjust the Samsung Kids PIN, reset the app, and access support for a seamless experience.
From the Samsung Kids home screen, tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Settings. Enter your Samsung Kids PIN or your Lock screen credentials.
The following options will be available:
Change Samsung Kids PIN: Use this setting to change your PIN.
Note: This option will not appear if "Phone's screen lock" is set as your preferred Lock type for Parental controls.Lock type for Parental controls: Choose your preferred lock type when using Samsung Kids. You can use your device's screen lock or a custom Samsung Kids PIN.
Reset Samsung Kids: Use this setting to reset the Samsung Kids app and all related information.
Add Samsung Kids to Apps screen: Turn on this option to add a Samsung Kids shortcut to your Apps screen.
