Set up a Samsung account

Having a Samsung account is your ticket to everything Samsung related. You'll be able to use exclusive apps like Samsung Health, or make purchases from the Galaxy Store. Your account can also backup, restore, and sync your data between multiple devices. And last but not least, a Samsung account lets you register devices, request repairs, and view warranty information.

Note: Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version, and device.

Set up an account on your phone or tablet

Before you can make a Samsung account, you'll need an email address; it's required for every Samung account. Make sure it's one you use often. Once you have an email ready, you can start setting up your Samsung account.

From Settings, search for and select Accounts, and then tap Accounts. Tap Add account, and then select Samsung account from the list. If you already have a Samsung account, enter your information, and then tap Sign in.

If you don't have a Samsung account, tap Create account. Review the legal information, and then tap Next. Enter your credentials, information, and then tap Create. You are now signed into your new Samsung account.

Note: Only one Samsung account is supported per email address. You are allowed several Samsung accounts, but each one will be considered a separate account.

Set up an account on a PC or Mac

Samsung accounts aren't just for phones - you can use them on a computer too! But you'll still need a valid email adress.

First, open an internet browser, and then navigate to Samsung Login. If you have a Samsung account, enter your information, and then click LOG IN.

If you don't have a Samsung account, click Create one now, and then enter your information. Click CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT to complete setup.

Log out of your account

Note: If you log out of your Samsung account, some features may be disabled.

If you want to sign out of your Samsung account on a phone or tablet, you'll need to "remove it" - which is basically the same thing as logging out. On a computer, you can "log out" of the account the way you do with other online accounts.

On a phone or tablet

From Settings, swipe to and tap Accounts and backup, and then tap Accounts. Select your Samsung account from the list, and then tap More Options. Tap Remove account, and then follow on-screen prompts to log out of your account.
