Using Auto door sensor on the Bespoke refrigerator

Sometimes, we all need a little bit of help in the kitchen, like after grocery shopping or when preparing a meal. Select Bespoke Side by Side refrigerator models include an Auto door open feature that allows you to easily open your fridge’s doors to unload groceries or grab ingredients. This feature uses a sensor that will open the door about an inch; then, just nudge it open the rest of the way.

Note: The Auto door open feature is only available on Bespoke Side by Side models RS23CB7 and RS28CB7.

Use the Auto door open feature

Note: Auto door open may not work if you open and close the door repeatedly. Do not push or stop the door while it is opening. If you’re having trouble using the Auto door open feature, wait about a minute before trying it again.

Auto door open on your Bespoke Side by Side refrigerator will automatically open your fridge’s door about an inch. You can then grip the side of the door and open it all the way. 

  1. Place a free hand over the Auto door open sensor, which is located on the center gap between the doors of your fridge.

  2. The door will open slightly. If you do not fully open the door within about two seconds, the door will automatically close.

  3. Although you can use the Auto door open feature on both doors, you cannot use the feature to open both doors at the same time. If Auto door open is used on one door, the other door will close. The doors will also not close on their own after they have been opened all the way.

Turn the Auto door open sound on or off

When your Bespoke Side by Side refrigerator door automatically opens, it will play an alert sound. You can enable or disable this sound at any time.

  1. Locate the fridge’s control panel on the interior of the fridge, and then press and hold Freezer for three seconds to turn on the sound.

  2. Press and hold Freezer for three seconds again to turn off the sound.
