Update the SmartThings Wifi hub and connected devices firmware

Keeping your SmartThings Wifi hub and all of its connected devices updated is the key to making sure everything runs smoothly. Fortunately, you don’t have to look too hard for any available firmware updates. All of your updates (including the SmartThings Wifi hub itself) will be right in the SmartThings app, and you can set the app to automatically download new firmware updates.

Update the SmartThings Wifi hub and connected devices firmware

Open the SmartThings app on your phone.

Tap the Devices tab in the bottom row.

Select your Wifi hub from the list of devices.

Open the More Options menu.

Tap on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner, which is the More Options menu.

Tap Settings.

Tap Device firmware updates.

Make sure Automatic update is selected.
