How to use Karaoke Mobile on your Samsung TV

Supported models and requirements

Supported models

  • Samsung Smart TV: All 2026 UHD and above models. 
  • Android mobile: Galaxy S, Foldable, and A series (2023 models and later) with Android OS 16 or later.
  • iOS mobile: iPhone 13 and later models.
  • Physical mic: Puremic Samsung TV Microphone (wireless with USB dongle).

    * All 2025, 2026 model-year TVs are compatible.

 

Requirements – subscription

Subscribing to the Stingray Karaoke app is required to access the full library of more than 100,000 songs.

How to use the karaoke feature on your TV

You can start singing right away using either a physical microphone or your mobile device. No complex equipment is required.
Note
This feature is supported with compatible microphones from two authorized manufacturers.

Using a physical microphone

  • Insert the USB dongle (included in the microphone package) into the USB port on your Samsung Smart TV.
  • Press and hold the power button on the microphone. It will automatically pair with your TV for instant use.

Using your mobile device as a microphone

  1. To launch the Stingray Karaoke app, press the Home button on your remote and select the Stingray Karaoke app from the app list.

  2. To connect your mobile device, scan the QR code on the TV screen with your mobile device’s camera, or open the SmartThings app.

  3. From the SmartThings app, select your TV, tap the Featured tab at the bottom of the screen, then tap the Karaoke Mic card to connect.

    • A Samsung account sign-in is required on both the TV and mobile device.
    • The TV must be registered in the SmartThings app on your mobile device.
  4. Start singing. Browse the available options and select your desired music track. From there, you can select Sing Now or Add to Queue. Your voice will be broadcast clearly through the TV speakers.

Adjust options for the mobile device microphone

Once the mobile microphone has been connected to your TV, you’ll see a Karaoke Mic screen on your phone. You can use this screen to adjust the microphone’s options.

  • Mic On/Off: Tap the Power icon in the center of the microphone to enable or disable the microphone.

  • Volume: Tap the Mic Volume icon (the small microphone) in the bottom left corner, and then adjust the volume slider.

  • Floating remote control: Tap the remote icon in the bottom right corner to enable a mobile remote control, which can be used to navigate your TV.

  • Prevent feedback (howling): To ensure clear sound, maintain a distance of at least 3 meters (10 feet) between the TV speakers and the microphone or smartphone.
  • Keep your screen on: When using a mobile microphone, ensure your smartphone screen remains unlocked. Locking the screen may disconnect the microphone.
  • Network requirements: Your TV and mobile device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and both must be signed in to the same Samsung account.
