How to move iCloud media to Google Photos

There are multiple reasons why storing your iCloud media on Google Photos may be right for you. If your iCloud media storage is more than the amount of free space on your new phone, you'll need a cloud solution anyway. However, even if you have the space on your phone, storing in Google Photos allows you to keep free space on your device and lets you view your photos and videos from other devices when using your Google account.

Note
The Google account you are transferring to must have enough data to store the photos and videos. You will see an alert during this process that shows you the specific required amount based on the storage size of your iCloud photos and videos.
4

Sign in to the Google account where you are transferring the data.

You will be asked to sign into the Google account in which you would like to store your iCloud photos and videos. Enter your account credentials and any two-factor authentication methods that may be required using the prompts on screen.
5

Wait for the transfer to complete.

After you've logged in and initiated your transfer, you will see a notice that says the process can take between three and seven days. Once the transfer is complete, you will receive an email notification to the email associated with your iCloud account. You can also check the status of your transfer at: privacy.apple.com/account.
