Follow the steps below to fold your Galaxy Z TriFold safely and as designed.

  1. With the device fully opened, fold the left side first (the side without the camera).

Precaution when folding the Galaxy Z TriFold

Caution
  • The Galaxy Z TriFold uses two hinges, and both screens are designed to fold inward. Applying force in the opposite direction may damage the device.
  • Excessive force when opening or closing the device may also result in damage.
  • When the side without the camera of the device is folded, the folded side is designed to be slightly elevated above the screen. This helps the device open easily.

If you attempt to fold the right side first (the side with the camera), the device will display a message saying, “Open phone and fold from other side.” and the device will vibrate (when powered on).
