Samsung smart watch will not turn on when using waking-up gestures

• Raise your wrist or tap the screen. (The related wake-up gesture must be turned on, and power saving must be off.)
• Press the Back or Home key (Power key).

• Lower your wrist.
• Cover the watch screen with your palm.

Do not disturb, Theater mode, Good night mode, and Water lock mode are silent modes. Wake-up gestures will automatically be disabled when any of these modes are turned on. Verify that the mode(s) are turned off:

1. From the watch's Home screen, press the Home key (Power key).
2. Swipe down the Status panel from the top of the watch's screen.
3. Make sure the Do not disturb, Theater mode, Good night or Bedtime mode, and Water lock mode icons are turned off.
4. If the mode(s) does not appear in the Status panel, you can try turning it off on your phone if you have Sync Sleep mode enabled on Wear OS models in the Galaxy Wearable app.
   On Tizen models, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone, tap Advanced, and then turn off the switch next to the silent mode(s).

On Wear OS models:

1. Navigate to Settings, and then tap Display.
2. Scroll down and toggle the switch next to Raise wrist to wake to turn it on and off.
   Note: This cannot be turned on when in Power saving mode.

On older models:

1. On the watch, navigate to and tap Settings.
2. Tap Advanced or Device, and then select the desired wake-up option(s) you'd like to use to turn on your watch screen.
   • Wake-up gesture: Wake up your watch by raising the wrist the watch is on.
   • Touch wake-up: Wake up your watch by touching the screen.
