Your monitor should only turn on and off when you want it to, and not on its own. When this happens, there usually isn't anything wrong with the monitor itself. A defective power cord or outlet is the most likely culprit.

Secure the power cord at both ends.

Make sure the monitor's power cord is securely connected to both the outlet and to the monitor.

If possible, try using another power cord that works (either a new one or one you've tested on other devices). A lot of monitors can use the same power cord that a computer uses; if your model can, then turn the computer off temporarily and borrow its cord to test with.

Connect the monitor to a different outlet.

If you're using a surge protector, try plugging the power cord directly into the wall instead. You can also test the outlet by plugging in another device (like a lamp) to see if it works.

Request service.

If you've ruled out the cord and the outlet, but the issue continues, visit our Support Center to request service.

If there's no indicator light displaying, check the power switch, check the power cord, and test the outlet. Unfortunately, this basic troubleshooting is the only way to try to fix the issue yourself. If this doesn't help the monitor turn on, then it will need service.
