Cannot Activate the SmartThings Hub

To add compatible SmartThings devices to the Wi-Fi Hub with the SmartThings app, the SmartThings Hub must be activated in the SmartThings app. You cannot activate a hub using a web browser. If the SmartThings Hub cannot be activated, there may be an issue with the SmartThings app or the Wi-Fi Hub. Try updating the app, uninstalling and reinstalling it, or removing the hub and adding it again.

The SmartThings app uses your Samsung account credentials. To create an account, you simply need to sign in with your Samsung account. To log out, you will need to remove the account from the app.

Check the hub's firmware version
SmartThings will occasionally push firmware updates to active hubs to improve performance. You can check the hub's firmware version using the app or the IDE Portal.
