We’ve learned of a new phishing attack that attempts to draw the attention of recipients with the subject line “Samsung has rewarded you with R900,000 from your yearly promo you ref:s298 call 0736011837 your claim. SCAM”. In the event that you receive a communication fitting this description, delete the message immediately.
If you happen to receive a message that appears to be spam, close and or delete the message immediately. However, some spam may occasionally get through to your inbox, so please use extreme caution and report it.
Consumers should be advised that all competitions and promotions undertaken by Samsung Electronics South Africa will always be displayed on the company’s web site (www.samsung.com).
Samsung South Africa takes such hoaxes very seriously to ensure that the South African consumer is protected as best as possible from such falsities.
