  • What is a freestanding dishwasher?

    A freestanding dishwasher is a standalone appliance that can be installed anywhere in your kitchen with access to a water supply, drainage and power. Unlike an integrated model, it comes complete with finished side panels and a front door. Samsung's freestanding dishwashers have standard 60 cm dimensions and a 14-place-setting capacity for versatile everyday cleaning.

  • Samsung's Auto Open Door feature automatically opens the dishwasher door by 10 cm once the wash and rinse cycles are complete. This allows trapped steam and moisture to escape naturally while letting in room air, delivering faster, streak-free drying without damaging kitchen surfaces.

  • WaterJet Clean™ uses two separate spray arms rotating in opposite directions to deliver targeted water pressure from multiple angles. This ensures intensive cleaning coverage across both lower and upper racks, easily lifting cooked-on grease and food residue from heavy pots and pans.

  • Yes, Samsung dishwashers feature a Half Load setting that allows you to wash dishes placed specifically in the lower zone. This saves time, water and energy on smaller loads, eliminating the need to wait for a full 14-place-setting load before running a cycle.

  • The Hygiene / Hygiene Plus option extends the final rinse and increases the water temperature to between 70°C and 75°C. This high-temperature wash eliminates up to 99.999% of common bacteria (such as E. coli and Salmonella), making it ideal for baby bottles, cutting boards and sanitising cookware.

  • The Flexible 3rd Rack is a dedicated tray at the top of the dishwasher interior, designed specifically for cutlery, spatulas and small kitchen utensils. It keeps cutlery organised and flat for better water penetration while freeing up space in the main lower rack.

  • Select smart Samsung dishwashers (such as the DW8700 series) feature Wi-Fi connectivity. Through the SmartThings app, you can remotely monitor cycle status, receive end-of-cycle alerts and use the Download Program feature to download specialised wash modes such as Pots & Pans, Plastic or Baby Care.
